  • Ha ha this is cool, wow that wind is blowing Pel Mel and your still able to drop the turtle close in in the LZ. Awesome!!!

I have a 6 Channel DX6i Tx & Rx. I'm trying to think of a way to operate a bomb bay on my six channel heli. I have spare servos I'm Just wondering if you have any idea of how I can do this with out having a seventh channel ?

  • Awesome video. I used the same method for my bomb drop on my parkzone t28 but i put it on the belly. I'll be testing it soon.

  • Cool. I'll be watching for a video. Thanks for the comment.

  • i'm worried some one chuting this thing will drop into water/sea/jungle and it's end of the journey for the ninja.....

  • Nice work! Eric shot me email to tell me what one of my little parachutes was up to! Have fun!

  • It'll be sent back to Eric today, then who knows where it will end up. Thanks for watching and for the comment. The chute works great.

  • This turned out to be a blast. Nothing like I expected. The lil guy weathered an Iowa winter, a corn reaping, and was found! My hat is off to you and Dave. I look forward to the chute coming back home so I can launch it again. This will be fun and lets see where it goes.

    5 Stars for sure.

    Eric

  • The chute and turtle should be at your doorstep shortly. Can't wait to see your video on it, but don't lose it this time! LOL. It'll be interesting to see where and how far it goes. Thanks for the comment and rating......and for losing your parachute in an Iowa corn field. ;-)

  • I am gonna follow this, great fun idea!

  • i wished near you guys because it looks like you have just too much fun cant wait to see the next turtle drop

  • lol the rubber ducky is the copilot. thats hilarious!

  • Thanks. He's been my co-pilot for about a year now. (Maybe less) He even lights up for about 10 seconds or so. Not bright enough or long enough to night fly though. Thanks for the comment.

  • Always fun watching you guys.

  • Thank you, and thanks for subscribing.

  • Haha, nice Ninja drop, I like the plane where did you get it?

  • Hey Jeff, can I bring up my Mossberg 12 ga. and shoot him down??? We could have turtle soup! Great vids, you guys are nutzzzzz! 5 Stee-zarrs

  • Haha. Maybe if you put a silencer on it. We're right on the edge of town. That might attract a little attention. LOL Thanks for the comment, Bryan.

  • fun

  • you two guys are great flying partners. its great to watch. thanks.

  • And we have a lot of fun doing it. Thanks for the great comment.

  • What kind of plane is that?

    PS- nice music!!

  • The plane is a Parkzone T-28 Trojan.

Thanks for the compliment on the music. It's just something I threw together using Magix Music Maker 10 Deluxe.

  • whoahohohohoh XD cool this fliying ninja turtle! XD

  • LOL

  • Woah, just a bit windy there Jeff lol, nice job on the launch, can't wait to get mine up there :-)

  • The main landing gear is stock, with the exception of being bent back about 45 degrees thus lowing the rear end of the plane and giving it a longer wheel base, and the nose wheel is a 3 1/2 inch wheel making it a little easier to roll on grass. It will still nose-over if the grass is too long.

  • 0:27 is very funny! DUCKIE!!!

    Me 2

  • Dave and I actually met on youtube a long time ago. We've always had our separate channels, his just way more popular than mine, obviously. LOL. Thanks for the comment and subscribing to my channel.

  • Nice, can you give me the setup? Also did you get my message?

  • Yes, I got your message, although I'm not sure what to do with it.

The parachute drop is simple. One servo up front which is plugged into the Ch5 slot of the receiver, and a key ring in the back. The servo turns 90 degrees when flipping the switch thus releasing the rubber band and dropping the chute. The key ring also has a quick release so that it's not always dangling there if I decide to fly without dropping a parachute.

  • Great job Jeff. Man, it was really windy. You could see the Trojan bobbing. That turtle really flew too! Nice drop rig. Nice edit as well. :-)

  • Thank you very much for the compliments, and thanks for watching.

  • Hello Sibley, IA. Because of the winds, Home to the Near Zero Roll takeoffs and landings! Hey, I like the parachute idea. I hope it makes it to every state. Nice drop of the turtle Jeff. - Peace

  • Thanks for the compliment. We'll see how far the chute makes it. Peace back at ya and thanks for watching.

  • Hey, great job editing too Jeff. Make sure to submit this as a video response to mine. I have Responded with my video above. That was great fun and a great idea from Eric. 5 stars and lets see how far it goes. Fun.

  • I didn't think you'd have your video up so soon. It's cool that you did. I posted mine as a video response to yours as well and also put a link to your video in the description box. It was great fun! But I wish mine would have landed at my feet like yours did. LOL

  • way cool guys, good flying Jeff, you got more balls than me to fly in that wind.

  • Haha. If we didn't fly in extreme conditions around here, we wouldn't be doing much flying at all. Thanks for the comment.

  • HA! Man I know what you mean, I am just east of you in Nebraska, we got nothing but wind, just got lucky today, not much wind so just got back from the airport flying the firebird phantom.

  • its great watching you two having fun! and is it ever not windy there?

  • Dave's a lot of fun to fly with, and as for the wind, it seems like it never dies down here. It's windy about 80% of the time. Thanks for the comment.

  • no probs!

  • YES SIR LOL,that was great Jeff and i like how Dave say's yes sir when he gets excited, damn that wind was strong and you did really well to fly and land ok in that man,got to ask is that T-28 all stock??? 5*

  • Yes siiiiiir! lol. It's all stock except for the 3 1/2 inch nose wheel and the main gear is bent back about 45 degrees for better grass take-offs and landings. Thanks for the comment and rating, startazz.

  • Sounds like you guys are flying in a hurricane!

  • Nope, not a hurricane. Didn't you see the tornado in the background? (jk) lol

  • Holly Crap, don't the WIND ever die down there? Gotta love that Turtle, he gets around.

  • Not very often. It seems like were always flying in extreme conditions. Wind, snow, fog....haven't flown in the rain yet though. LOL.

    Thanks for the comment.
