With your Chinese accent, maybe it would be good to visit some Chinese factories also where the situation is much worse then in Mexico. Such an uneducated documentary without any respect of the local culture..."It shocked me.."?? What shocked you??? this was the life before maquiladora, this is the life after...so i don't understand your point!!
I'll bet "Scola" works for one of these companies. Kinda like the Nazi's who claimed "I was just doing my job" and killed people directly or indirectly through their inhumane treatment of Jews in Germany. Pull your head out of your culo and wake up!
Actually, the sub par living conditions on the border are greatly due to the fact that large numbers of people migrate from southern Mexico , where there are no sources of employment at all, to seek jobs in border plants. Border plants pay higher wages that is paid by national industry.
Do you think the large numbers of people migrating from Southern Mexico are earning enough to support their families? The wages are not enough. Their government is not taking care of their people. Low Tariff - Factories -90 percent are U.S.owned= Fortune 500 companies include Ford, GM, Motorola, and Eastman Kodak. International companies -Volkswagen, Nissan & Sony etc... Mexico's labor wages are among the lowest in the world. Mexico has little enforcement of environmental legislation.
I have been in literally hundreds of maquiladoras. I'd venture to say that I know a bit more on this subject than do you. Your assertion that Mexico does not vigorously enforce environmental laws is particularly ridiculous. Also, I think you might have a conversation with the 10's of thousands of folks who work in the factories to see how they feel about it. My guess is that you have absolutely no direct experience with this topic.
So you are concluding that the economic and social conditions that exist on the U.S. - Mexico border are all related to the maquiladora industry? That is a somewhat simplistic conclusion to come to, isn't it. Also, I recommend that you learn to pronounce the word "Mak-key-la-door-a" correctly.
i dont have a problem with human beings trying to make money to survive, but when they discard another humans life for their financial benefit, i feel really sad that humans have come to this.
there is too much corruption in the world. us black ops, cia's drug trafficking system, corporatization all need to end. end the greed of higher classes and there wouldn't be poverty in mexico.
