The twister from that storm was in the Edmonton sun the next day! I think it was some lady who lives near the Stony Plain golf course who took a picture of it from her house. I thought we would have a possible tornado that day, because I felt it coming. Just because it's warm and sunny at the time doesn't mean the weather will still be good. I remember standing outside and seeing clouds closing in from the north, then from the south, then the east and west and moving in fast with gusty winds!!
I remember that storm well. It happened after an early heat wave that year and then it collapsed with this storm. I was at work and noticed the clouds moving in from all directions, but it was still sunny and 28C. I told my coworker that we'll probably get a severe thunderstorm, maybe even a tornado. She didn't believe me and said " but look how nice it is out here". 2 hours later we got pelted by hail and heard about the small twister which I recall they said touched down near Stony Plain.
