Such a shame to hear Alex Chilton, the lead vocalist for The Box Tops, was taken to the hospital in New Orleans on March 17, 2010, complaining of health problems, and died the same day of a suspected heart attack.

I hope these two genuine, down to earth people found time to touch bases.

His jaw dropped and asked "How do you know Larry?" I told him that Larry played the clubs in Kissimmee some 30 years earlier...

What a voice! The 60s may have been the most turbulent decade of all but it produced a ton of classics like this.
