so this ONLY works with people who are raging? or have a definite means of causing harm. What if the person is in control of their emotions but their intent is still the same?
Be careful, so called "critics" often boast about things they regret later. Visit a master and you will be surprised but I doubt that you will do that, so nevermind. ;-)
Thank you Zensatie for this video. I am wishing you had placed a introduction of the activity on the video so I might better understand what you are presenting here.
What you see here is a guy who used the Yellow Bamboo technique to build his energy.
He is than attacked by a guy with an emotionally charged intention to hurt him (this is a key to make this work). They way the both energyforces react on eachother seems to result in a sort of shortcicuiting in the other person (attacker). You than see how he is helped after this.
Yes, there is no Chi blast, that is just something that people who don't know this try to to grasp what is going on. It is more like energy fields reacting on each other. One of the problems with this is that one persone needs to evoke a negative intention charged with anger. Real anger, not just played.
A problem for martial artist as they learn to control their emotions. Seen the video. Also know the background story which kinda puts it in another perspective.
Interesting, it might be prudent to invest in a tripod or other stabilizing device. Perhaps even hire a professional camera crew. I hope you upload more videos.
personally i believe in "ki" or "chi" energy, as i have experienced it's effects before, and i know other ppl who have also witnessed and experienced it. but to me, this seems more like a cult that any MA program.
Actually, that book is about a totally different technique which takes longer to learn (years as to in about 1 year or less with intensive practice). The book does go into detail about this effect thouhg. It is full of different people explaining their experience with knocking down opponents without physical contact.
Although it is a different method, this book is a very interesting read.
Empty Force is description some martial art schools use to describe what they say is a technique where a practitioner uses Qi or "Nei jin" to project it from his/her hand to an opponent at a distance (not touching the opponent), knocking the opponent down. It is seen in many wuxia martial arts films, video games, and anime also is said to be cultivated through Qigong. Many martial artists believe the technique is mostly fictional. I'd say that pretty much covers it.
OM SVASTI
We truly enjoy this demonstration of psychic energy.

Than this won't work. At least not till higher levels. There are other ways around that though. But basically there has to be emotion.

Visualzing the Ki of other people is not that easy. If these watchers can see what I see. They are going to believe in this video.

Or maybe you should read the background story behind that video elswehere on the web...
Zensatie 4 years ago
It is not a martial art at all. It is a system for spiritual development. One of the effects is the ability to do this feat.
Most martial arts have degraded into fighting sports anyway. And the energy part is lost or watered down.

So the people in this video are really angry at eachother then? Sounds wierd to me.
deviant47 4 years ago
The attacker is. They seem to be able to invoke anger more easily.

Again: there is no "chi blast".
Again: about the video: no real emotion within intent

Hi,
Yes this is not the very best view. A bit "action-style" right. I do have others filmed with a tripod more recently. Maybe I'll upload them one day.

Who said it was a martial art?
It is a system for spiritual and energetic development.
This technique is just a side effect of developing the energy.
Seems what you have experienced has thought you to limit your view on what is possible with it?
Funny, when I first experienced it, I wanted to find out what els could be done with it ;-)
Just a different view.

Hi Casey,
Well we from Yellow Bammb have heared that before.
How about you take $700 away from that amount and spend it on a ticket to Bali.
We are having a 10 day intensive training week there
1-11th of May 2007 open to Westerners.
I think you might make grate practise for the students there.
I don't expect you to be serious, but if you are,
just drop me a line. I'd personally make sure all the funds would go straigh to humanitarian activities in Bali.

I recommend everyone to read "Empty Force" by Paul Dong. It's a book explaining this technique.
