I do enjoy watching rugby, but there is no doubt that football is a rougher sport. The potential for a broken leg, arm, or neck is there on each play. By rules, there is no forward pass or blocking. Football is a collison sport, rugby a tackling sport.

I like both, but football is much more dangerous, with or without the "protection".
