it's actually fairly easy to read this. basically when they shreak they make a movement, if it's cause they are evading an attack it's to counter your blind side.

Fighting dirty and being resourceful would be the best defense for someone defending themselves against such an attacker. staying close would also help in countering.

I have experienced some combat application of the Monkey style. Its effectiveness comes from the attacks that come off your center and into your blind side.
