I would suggest reading "Wicca- guide for the solitary practicioner" by scott cunningham. Its a great book, kinda like an intro to wicca, it also has some pretty good recipes for incenses and oils and such ^.^
Head on over to Wiccapedia, or try the "Mind, Body and Spirit" section of your nearest bookstore. These sources will help you, but remember that Wicca is as you make it, and there is very little that you cannot do. Just put your will to it, and it will happen :) Blessed be!
"Us' Wiccans dont all belive the same exactually there are some wicca sects that also are only Goddess orientated such as the Dianic. MAybe think about your own tradition and for information purpose to the public about wicca dont include an 'US' in your subject.
wichcraft will take you to HELL JESUS The Second Adam The first man Adam became a living soul. The last Adam became a life-giving spirit For indeed He was crucified because of weakness, yet He lives because of the power of God For the Messiah also suffered for sins once for all, an innocent person for the guilty Jesus saith I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
@valu777 it would be a lot more useful if christians preeched their beliefs in an understanding and helpful way. It is a very unconstructive mindset to believe you follow the only true path. I wish you well in your path of christianity, but be aware that you may be offending a lot of people. All the best.
Yeah, you're more or less right. The trailer trash stereotype is more rural, though, while the chavs are more urban. The basic stereotype is young people who cause mischief and dress in track suits and burberry.
I am a long time pagan with my belieths leaning toward druidism but I have a real problem with hierarchy, self appointed or otherwise reverends, I also thought that title was christian. surely paganism is free of all that crap of dictating cause there isnt a bible
You can personally choose how much respect to each person... Also how much you listen to them... I'm sure you'll know which are genuine and which are taking themselves a little too seriously...
I am a paga but I personally dont believe in any gods but nature, I believe if we live in harmony with nature and keep to a moral code letting your conscience be your guide then that is the correct way for me personally
I see nothing wrong with your questions. In fact in my circle it is a very good one for "If you do not ask, you shall not know" a friend. As for your questions E-mail me and I'll do my best to answer.
Hi candy541, Us Wiccans believe in a Goddess AND a God, we celebrate the turning of the seasons by performing sabbats and we honour our Goddess every month by performing an esbat. blessed be.
natural born wizard what the hell? you can be male and a witch just like a woman or man who worship god are called christian and chavs isnt a religion, what a fluffbunny? have you read anything on wicca and the craft (god am such a bitch) sorry
Ah my year started Jan 19th...glad to have been abel to watch a few of your videos. So far a good year in growth in music, and understanding and knowledge for myeself. I chronicled my growth also, so it is a pleasure to watch yours grow and blossom.
And you need to be connected with the mother nature. Jesus is a hebrew person and he has died. One suggestion! Leave the sick judaic belief system to be truly saved.
well i must be Natural Born Wizard! am strange to my family am born into a family of chavs and my personalty differently so i must be Natural Born Wizard(well i cant be called witch and a male)oh and i do magick even last night in the garden a draw down the moon for the first time. oh that was fun
I'm also male, and would like to be called as a witch than a wizard. I think the word wizard is meant to the one selected (male) witch to serve the kink or a coven.
But I'm no special or slected. I'm just a witch. I'm a boy.
Well you can't be a natural born wizard nor a witch sorry but I'm like the same I was born in chrstian family and all my life I tried to pratice magick
actually yes you can, have you ever heard of the idea "self-fullfilling prophecy"? If you think you can't, you can't. I've been raised in a christian family also but I never "got" christianity as a whole. You gotta go with what is within you, not what you are taught exactlly.
I agree; I remember sitting in Sunday school at age five with the teacher pointing at me and all the other kids. "You're a sinner," she said in my face, "And you must learn to repent!" I was thinking "No, I'm five, and I'm not a sinner." Even at that age I knew there was something seriously wrong with that belief system. I have been a sensitive all of my life. I was a practicing Christian until I could no longer go along with the hypocrosy. My husband and I are now happily Pagan for life.
im alil confused cos i always thought that samhain was the new year for wiccans and witches, and yet they said it was going to be at the spring equinox this yr??? have i missed something important along the way?
steev75, You didn't miss anything. Traditionally, Samhain is the Wiccan new year. They threw me a bit of a curve on that point too. I started practicing back in the 80's, so I guess I'm a bit on the traditional side. I just depends on how you wish to look at it. New life does bud in the Spring, so you could shift your view if you choose to. There isn't much that's written in stone with Wicca.
Actually it depends upon the Tradition of Wicca. Those with a stronger connection to Northern Europe mark the New Year at Samhain, those with a stronger connection to Southern Europe mark it at the Spring Equinox. The latter view has become very rare today however.
The year of fire: Passion and ambition! How interesting! I'm shipping out to basic training for the Navy in April and this sounds very accurate! I'm looking forward to facing any challenges put before me this year! Thank you for this programme.
Seen it many times and I miss this show.

Why are wiccans dressing and addressing themselves as vicars; is it a US thing?

Actually A Witch studies magic more on a spiritual side, while a Wizard studies magic more on the scientific side.

I have just registered on the Witch School.
I'm in Sri Lanka and I feel alone as a witch.
I would like to know some wiccan or interested people around from Sri Lanka.

The term Witch is neither male or female. Its a word to describe someone "Who has their WITS about them" meaning someone with brains.
