  • Have my wz.88 Tantal and my 1911. They'll work just fine. And the polish know how to mke one hell of a battle rifle, especially for $400!

  • I sold all of my Glocks, S&W's, and Colts and bought 1 pistol, a Hi-point 9mm and used the rest of the money to stock up on ammo and gold teeth. Hi-point, the ultimate battle pistol!

  • ummm you CANNOT take big game with a .22 no matter how good a shot you are. Unless you're within 3 feet of your target you're not taking down anything big.

  • @jakeouren03 i have seen plenty of big deer taken with a .22 at ranges of 25 to 65 yards....

  • @jakeouren03 Christopher McCandless killed a moose with a .22LR. Google it.

  • @jakeouren03 Poachers like 22's

  • How about a .22, a 45, a .308 and a 12 ga? That about covers it, right?

  • slings and holsters are a MUST also very important peices of eqt.

  • @tripwire1000 i have a nice shotgun scabbard strapped onto my BOB's MOLLE straps. remington 870 express tactical with an ATI top folding stock. i love the setup. keeps the shotgun out of the way, but easy to grab and make useful just as quick, if not quicker, then a shotgun slung over the back

  • 8 guns why 8 how bout 10 or 15....

    3 gun must haves

    is all u really need

really ,me thinks u need 3 guns & plenty ammo for each

    1. ar-15 or ak-47 or ak74 mini14- or SKS rifle, or bolt action

    2.shotgun any 12 or 20 gauge, 5-shot or more

    3. handgun hi-capacity magazines Glock, XD ,M&P, Ruger etc ,etc

    ammo 7.62x39,or .223 ,12 or 20 gauge,9mm 40,.45 ammo

    And plenty of it

  • To all of the people saying that people can't survive when shtf. You don't know these people. I can't stand it when people tell me I couldn't. I was raised in the woods to shoot and live by my dad and my uncle (who is an ex marine corps sniper). To people saying I couldn't defend myself, I had to shoot two armed robbers who broke into my house at night when I was 16. Scary, but I did it.

  • really!! apparently this young man has never carried AMMO for nine guns, you can have 30 guns but without AMMO it's a stick. good ideas, but think about what you can carry when you have to leave your home or safe place to find a safer place. Ammo is heavy & bulky make sure what you choose to prep with is an all around and multi-use. unless you want to just get a stick

  • @1911mrk i am not planning on leaving my home....

  • @parlusk1791 u must live in the country then. but unfortunately, most people live in cities. even in the country, u will need a B.O.B and plan on hold in case of being over run by refugees. good luck getting all 8 guns strapped 2 u and on the run at any rate of speed other then slowly

  • 9mm and a 12 guage....all you need. pistol for defense shotgun is universal.....bird shot, buck shot, and slugs.

  • LOL, do you mean prepper as in preperation for 2012? What are you preparing for? Its sounds to me like even if the end of the world came, which it WONT in our life time, the only people you will be fighting is other preppers. Guns are for pussy's scared of life. There isnt anything to protect yourself from!

  • @KCWhoa Fascinating. Your posts all include "pussies" as an insult. Youre a 19 year old with more experience than a 57 year old (me). Thats just INCREDIBLE.

  • I disagree that you need 8 seperate "guns" for the applications discussed. Shotguns can have different length barrels and pistol grip.full shoulder stock combos. You could have an over uner 22/410..there are so many combos..good optics? learn how to shoot with and without scopes. thing is..shoot often to be prepared. It doesn't matter what caliber or make you have...if you're good with it. Don't wait until an emergency to find out how good or bad you are...that's some advice you can LIVE WITH...

  • @grizzbearism semi auto- controled fire. full auto- needs no explaination. same reasoning behind the military switching from full auto to 3 round burst. soldiers burnin up ammo, not hitting a thing. the act of moving ur finger up to pull the trigger again helps u to think, and not just panic

  • Guns aren't the answer to every SHTF situation. I'm sure you know this. Please don't spend too much time and money on them if you have limited resources. I know they are fun to have and shoot and can help put food on the table but be sure you don't forget water, clothing, and shelter. What am I going to do without power? What am I going to do without fuel? What am I going to do when I shoot the last Elk in Wyoming?

  • not sure why people feel they need to many guns. one to kill at long range and one to kill at short range. anything else is just taking up storage space and cash. my opinion...

  • keeping my rifles at 5.56 and 7.62 you never know where your next ammo will come from. Great video Thanks

  • hey great video! well i have a unique situation, See i started buying guns about ten years ago only because i liked them. I never thought that things would be headed in the direction they are now. So to my situation, i currently own around 50 handguns. ranging from glocks to XD's to vintage colt revolvers ect. as far as long rifle's i have more of them AR ,SKS ect... probably in the 100 range. its alot to keep up with ammo with this many calibers. think i should sell them & stock for select few?

  • @glock1042 it depends on your financial situation... if you can keep all of your guns and afford to buy bulk ammo for a select few and still have money to prep then i would do that. if not, i would pick the ones i thought would be the best, make sure you get down to as few calibers as possible and sell the rest.

  • @glock1042 I would choose 5 guns. 1 battle rifle (AR/AK or even a pistol caliber carbine) for mid range engagement. 1 handgun for personal defense at close range. 1 Long gun for large game/longer range engagement. one sub caliber for small game (.22lr is best) and one shotgun. Focus on ammunition for those 5 and keep the others to use as trade when the dollar collapses.

  • @mattxr2i thats pretty much wut i have, minus the long range rifle, which im working on getting a remington 700 in a .308.

  • see POLAR CITY RED a new cli fi book for preppers, about life in a polar city in 2080, pure fiction but it COULD happen, no? Author is Jim Laughter in Oklahoma, google the title...

  • That’s an awful lot of weight to be carrying, including the many types of ammunition, should you have to vacate. The 12 gauge is good for defense, offense and hunting. And there is all kinds of munitions you can get for it to do different jobs like opening a locked door, starting a fire from a long range, flare, etc.

  • one gun, a shotgun. anything else is just compensation. grab a shotgun that is chambered for multiple rounds. whats the purpose of having a 22 rifle AND a 22 pistol?

  • @l31sh0p a shotgun has limited range. you have a 22 pistol so you can practice shooting a handgun or teach someone to shoot a handgun without using a lot of handgun ammo.

  • @parlusk1791 If you are looking for range to reach out and touch someone or thing try a 30.06.

  • Comment removed

  • @l31sh0p in case one breaks

  • you've pretty much described my arsenal :-)

except I only have 1 (home defense) shotgun at the moment

  • If your going to buy weapons keep in mind buy the caliber that law enforcement and nato uses, so when the shtf and the body count begins to climb you can reload with the ammo from the fallen. Just sayin....

  • 590A1 20", super black eagle 2 28", Glock 27 subcompact, sig 226 40cal, 10/22 tapco stock, sks,

Going too finish strong with a springfield M1A!

  • GATTA LOVE YOUTUBE TROLLS! GET A LIFE DORKS

  • 7mm Rem Mag......good calibre.....really good!

  • I doubt the viability of shotgun hunting post-fan, and small game hunting with a firearm. That only cuts out one of the eight weapons. Good list.

  • @parlusk1791 I don't want to seem like I'm trolling on here but man, You are going to be confuseing a lot of people with your wording on the guns. The fighting shotgun can you put boxing gloves on it and it beats the ass of the guy your shooting. It's called a tactial shotgun and then your Battle rifle. That is called an Assualt Rifle. You should atleast say the right names of the guns so people can get them. Who the f*** calls it a battle rifle anymore?

  • @MrZombi3Slayer. People get the idea, dude. Why you gotta be a hater. Nit pickin and shit, no one cares. At least hes getting out there and doing something to help, you aren't doing anything but causing hate and discontent. Go back to sleep.

  • a single tool designed to do eveything will never be as effective at doing a single task as a tool designed to do that particular task, a perfect gun dose not exist so try to diversify your arsenal

  • Mossberg 500A 12 GA, Ruger 10-22, Mosin-Nagant 7.62/54R, S&W Combat Masterpiece .38SPL, S&W M&P .40, and FN FAL, keeps me safe and ready for SHTF.

  • @mauserman1000 I usually do not respond to stupid comments, but I have had a bad day so here we go.

A lot of preppers have extensive military backgrounds and training. I watched your "one" upload, what are you like 12? My advice it to stick to your video games and cheese puffs, there commando. I probably have been shot at more times then you have fired are real gun. call me when your nuts drop.

  • @parlusk1791 Looks like mauserman1000(punk) is a want to be. I checked out his account as well. What a joke. Think he knows were the trigger is? Some of his other comments on other videos were just as ill informed. Needs a reality check.

  • @parlusk1791 Amen bro. Just because he plays crap on his XBox ....

  • @mauserman1000

Stay unarmed slave, you don't deserve ANY freedom.

  • @mauserman1000 I guess you could call me a "prepper" for having a couple of long guns and hand guns and having enough food for a month of normal eating (i got to get more). And I don't think I'm special. Ron Paul 2012.

  • @mauserman1000 instead of dissing everybody why not spend your time helping people understand what is is like to take a life in defense of self. Tell us about the smells and nightmares. The heaven thing. Tell us how to cope with that. Help us out instead of thinking your the only worthy One capable of carrying defending protecting

  • @mauserman1000 ok just watched your Vid and ah ah yeah try the whole thing without a teleprompter

  • Youre prepping for buggin' IN, right? With ammo thats like fifty pounds o' shit! At least!

  • Better to have one gun you are good with, then 8 you aren't. .22 is cheap, a rifle can defeat some armor and gives you an edge in range/sniping. A high cap handgun can back you up when they are too close for the rifle. Anything else is extra weight, unless you need a shotgun to blow open door bolts.

  • There should be another weapon to add to that list. Something with reusable ammo, like a slingshot or a crossbow. if this all lasts longer than anticipated, then a crossbow will begin to make more sense than a rifle. (think Mad Max.) That and they can be used as silent weapons, if you ever find yourself in such a bad situation where staying hidden is essential to staying alive. (although that is unlikely, hey, prep for everything) That and silencers are illegal in a few states, like California.

  • Great video very infomative, right on the money as to the eight every gun owner should own. I don't necessarily agree that the battle rifle, and side arm should be your first guns, and believe that that decision would be made considering envirionment. If you're rural, YES, battle rifle, if your urban shotgun IS your battle rifle. Living in multiple envirionments, Chicago to rural Tennessee, I keep different weapons in different loactions. OH! And sundogforlove speaks through a paper asshole. LOL

  • Eight guns? I own 12 but rarely use them! I could easily kill everything I need with a .22. Cheap to shot easy to carry large amount of ammo. I use a bolt action .22 1" pattern @ 40 yards most people can manage. I also have 3 12 guages. and a colt andaconda! Remember to stock up on ammo!

  • nappy napalitano has a frown

    lol

  • I am looking into getting the 22LR conversion kit for my AR15 and G22 so I can have the 22LR capability to practice without having to buy a whole other gun.

  • @BenTheBondsman1 great idea!

  • @BenTheBondsman1 Having dedicated 22lr and 223 rifles is preferable but when cost is prohibitive then go for the conversion and get the trigger time.

    Have fun with that conversion.

  • Having gun at home for SHTF is a good idea. but the best way is the knowledge of your own how to use it in a right time and place. you don't want to use the gun to rob somebody food when you are hungry.

  • I agree 100% man. I'm not there yet with my own collection, so far it's an 870 (12ga), 700 (30.06) w/Leupold 3x9, 10/22, Glock 19,& Ruger MKIII. Gonna get the the AR next, then probably a Kimber TLE 1911 & trade the Glock in on a J frame. I've owned both the Glock & 1911, but I believe I prefer the latter. I probably will add a dedicated home defense shotgun as well, even though a cheaper option would be a 18" barrel only. I just like having dedicated guns for specific purposes. Great job man.

  • @EASTCOSTPREPPER working on it lol thanks for watching

  • I am so smart. I spent all my money on guns and I can't afford gas to heat my house. Are you nuts? Before you buy all these toys learn how to support yourself and earn a living.

  • @sundogforlove pretty sure i have things figured out, but thanks for the suggestions.

  • @parlusk1791 Very nice on having alot of guns, but I would rather buy the different barrels and bores. To switch and interchanged with my shot gun, and just go all out on my rifle, and screw pistols, Im gonna use a sawed of shotgun and interchange between a single buck shot to layered buck and pellets.

    2 types of guns so many barrels, Also IED's are cheaper to make >=}, i needs a bigger yard to prepare to ef up =}

  • @sundogforlove Less money on comfort now, and more on security now and later =} To each man his own.

  • @sundogforlove I imagine that someone that could afford all these "toys" has pretty well gotten a handle on supporting themselves. I dont remember him telling anyone to buy guns before you pay your bills.

  • @sundogforlove looking at the training weapons on the wall my guess would be he makes holsters. so i would say hes ok....survival is 90% mentality 10% gear ..my guess would you are in no shape or form ready for anything...

when that storm or whatever hits. what are you going to do run down to walmart..

  • @sundogforlove I can survive in any temperature in the lower 48 without a heater. I cannot survive a Homeland Security death squad without a decent rifle.

  • @sundogforlove I do believe he was in his work shop not his house in the video...I would have a wood burning stove for heat my self...oh wait I already do.

  • you should write a book and title it my life in a freezer

  • MINI 14, 10/22, Ruger P91, shoot gun.

  • single shot 12g.is all i have ain't that enough it will take small game and large game,

  • 10 22 and sd 40

  • Any weapon you have you should be thinking what is a common cal. or gauge You may need to be scrounging for ammo, and taking what your enemy is using. You don't need to have enough ammo to last the whole war, you just need enough to have a ticket to the dance. Survival, think about black powder, you can use a H&R 12ga. shotgun for BLK powder and 1or2 containers of powder with 1or2 of BB's and some slugs is a lot of ammo-not much space. See "wildernessoutfitters on youtube" for illustration

  • WOW, I feel that is a bit of an over kill my friend. For survival you should have a bow, I prefer a sling bow, and a H&R single shot 12ga. w/ 4 barrel inserts like 1-22,1-9mm,1-38 & 1-say like 40cal, for fighting 1 side arm, mine is S&W 40cal.auto my wife's is a 38 revolver as far as long guns mine is a 306 Remington(I'm a USMC trained sniper & I'm to damn old to fight up close) wife's is a 12ga Moss 16in barrel good self protection shot gun. I feel you need to think more simpler my friend

  • AK-47, Romanian PSL, Colt 1911, Mossberg 500. Hows that?

  • @scottcain20051 grad you a 22lr

  • @parlusk1791 I got a Ruger MKII Standard.Never found the 22lr as a thing of any use to me.

  • what do you think of the marlin model 60?

  • @blueballs5150 they are great guns

  • You were talking about how for 15 bucks you can get 550 rounds of 22. My god I am happy I don't spend that much, Cabelas has 500 LR hollow 40 gr. for five bucks.

  • @TheSingingDemon holy hell.... they are pretty much in the 20 dollar range for 500 near san fransisco

  • Don't pay any attention to this guy. He spends too much time in Outer Space.

Eight separate weapons for a crisis context? What a mah-roon!

    Better ...

    1) 12 ga. shotgun. Pump is simple and simple is good; w/ variety of ammo from birdshot to Buck and Slug.

    2) .22 rifle with a scope and good magazine(s) capacity.

    3) anti-personnel / hunting rifle,in a commonly available round,with decent sights or optics.

    4) handgun capable of dropping an opponent within 20 to 30 feet with one or two shots.

    >:^)-

  • @Gmissile Also if you want you can get two different barrels for the shotgun. I have a short one for defense and a longer one for bird hunting (Maverick 88 12-ga.). So there's no need for two shotguns.

  • @TimTheCrusader

    Good point.

Many makers have combos with that setup in one box; Mossberg and Stevens are two.

Also, barrel choices to fit almost anything made are online from at least a half dozen sources; not to mention your local guys, or gals.

  • what if you can only buy one gun?

  • @pipefitters1 10-22

  • @pipefitters1

ONE gun that will drop ANYTHING,from pheasant and rabbit---through primates, human or not---up to and inc. Moose,Elk,Grizzly, in North or South America, Europe, Asia and most of what's in Africa is...

a 12 ga.Pump(simple)Shotgun(with,as our economically minded buddy TimTC indicates) 2 barrels(multi-choke field and short cylinder bore)with ammo from 9 Dustshot through various Buck and Slug (Hexolit most extreme) loads to incendiary and signal loads.

    Thy Rod of Iron.

  • @pipefitters1 12 gauge shotgun. pump or single shot. no autoloaders.

  • I agree with all your posts, but most people don't have the funds for all those guns,my chioce, and based on budget, #1 sks, #2 h&r pardner protector, #3 taurus 24/7 pro .45 acp, #4 ruger 10/22 rifle, #5 ruger 22/45 standard, I won"t add the rest but these are my favorites on a budget, and I am a vet, surrvival @ home base is the way to go!

  • 4 guns. #1 Ruger 6.8mm #2 Glock 21 #3 Bennelli M4 shotgun #4 any .338 bolt action mag fed

  • sub compacts the way to go. xd .40 sub compact awsome gun consider it if you want to go with a sidearm.

  • A 410 shot gun with bird shot and slugs and a .22 rifle and pistol are the perfect combination. You can take almost any game in nort america with these guns.

  • .22 good choice. Can't go wrong with a good shotgun. Another good rifle / handgun weapon of choice is .44 lever action / single shot. 30.06 for long range hunting.

  • u lost me at hunting shotgun i rather have less metal bits in my food

  • @berzerker501 what do you hunt fowl and turkey with?

  • @parlusk1791 cross bow, bow, .22 , .308,

i just hear shotgun and i think 00 buck shot

  • @berzerker501 Now that i think about a whisper quiet crossbow with at least 350 FPS would be a very good choice under certian circumstances

  • @ChickenHater550 well when the stuff happends Martial Law will be put into effect and all firearms will be confiscated and destroyed.

just the same when hurricane katrina came, Law abiding citizen with guns (either self-defence or family tradition) had there guns stolen buy the government.

  • @berzerker501 That's why it is important to educate people NOW so they will band together against abuse later.

  • @donteverlietome but unfortunately posting videos like this mark you as a potential threat so you help others but by doing so you are signing your death wish. im not saying this to attack this video just to help you know. in fact

there is a video of a government offical that proclaims any american with 7 days of food stored, a gun and the means to alternitive fuel supply, a national threat to the government.

  • @berzerker501 link to the video, otherwise you're just fear mongering.

  • @1cme1 Preppers Who Have Guns, Ammunition, 7 Days of Food Can Be Considered a Potential Terrorist don't know how to link but there is the title

  • @berzerker501 watched the video, and wow i didnt know that. luckily they cant send people to guantanamo bay over it yet. it'd probably get you put on some unsettling list though.

  • @1cme1 the government just wants consumers. being self sufficient to the government just means americans will not be filling the bottomless pocket books.

  • @berzerker501

    Don't bet on it.

There's going to be a lot of dead cops,Feds and National Guard if their NWO Plutocrat Totalitarian Masters try that shit again.

    There's a storm coming.

The uniformed hired guns are OUTNUMBERED.

Why do you think their doggies like Oblahblah and his doggy Holder want the citizenry disarmed?

The motherfuckers just made it easier for foreigners to buy guns here !?

WTF? Think about that for a while.

?Illegal Beaners as Fed confiscation door kickers?

    STC

  • @Gmissile but we are out gunned and they have all the food road computers everything. they have us by the balls, and we constantly let them pulls us around.

  • Comment removed

  • @parlusk1791 I can hunt both with a bow or any rifle or pistol from a 22lr and up. It's easy. Choose your shots. Or better yet, trap them. Traps are reusable, unlike projectiles (mostly). There is no need to be "sporting" when your life is on the line. Shoot foul on the ground or water. Truth be told, I don't need a firearm to survive. Baring an immediate violent threat to my life, where the only solution is violence in return firearms are not mandatory items.

  • .357 revolver, 6 inch, 7 round

    .22lr sub compact

    12ga 18inch

    .22lr rifle

    12ga break action 28+ inch

    .308

    Listed in order of priority

4 rounds (5 with .38), for every gun need that comes up.

if had to bug, just the 2 pistols, can hunt anything in north america

  • I'm not trying to put you down, just more food for thought. like those that live in city, if they don't practice wilderness skills and get the hell out of cities, they will die. I have lived and done things 99% of people have and never will experience. My buddy and I are reffed to as the "last mountain men". I strongly want people planing to survive, PRACTICE, PRACTICE, Your skills!!!!! learn what is eadable and what's not, what makes medicine from nature, one thing, store prescription meds!!!

  • @parlusk1791, must be nice to know what the future holds for you! Word WILL get out you have food and supplies, strong possiblity of being overrun by gangs. still, One 22 is enough, rifle is more proficent for most. a 223 can double as small game and deer or human size animals. Don't give me that "223 is to small for deer size animals, crap, if you are anykind od marksman it's no problem, got a nine point on my wall that will tell you same. I am from a long line of gunsmiths I know my guns.

  • No offense but eight guns are to many, if you have to bug out, wow, lots of weight an ammo to carry. I think four is fine, some with thought can be double duty.

  • @trickykwoo2 if you have to bug out and carry what you are going to need to live on then you have done something wrong.

  • Look, don't get me wrong. I like your videos, and I think you are a smart guy. I would certainly have your back if shtf, and I would hope you have mine. But I think that a long-term plan that involves daily firefights is doomed to failure. I agree with you on having lots of guns too, but I want to round up my stuff and get to an area where there are no zombie hordes to maximize my chances of long-term survival.

  • @Possumlivingdotcom i agree... gun fights in a long term plan would be miserable and deadly. in the first six months though i would expect them though. when the un prepared get desperate they will kill to eat

  • Eight firearms? Let’s be real!

If you’re poor, frugal, or just have some common sense, buy a 12-gauge pump action with an 18 – 20 inch barrel.

Like a little more? How about a simple 4 inch revolver as last stand back up to your lever action carbine of the same caliber? Both are simple, no magazines to worry about, the ammunition’s light, and the economy of being able to cast your own bullets and shoot on the cheap is beyond description.

  • @anynameplease better stock up on brass in primers if you are going to cast your own bullets. and hope you do not get into a fire fight if the shtf

  • @parlusk1791 If the SHTF, I am not worried. If I have to explain why eight must have guns is ridiculous, the majority of the sheeple out there won't understand. No amount of ammunition, guns, and gear will help the average suburbanite that has absolutely no situational awareness, training, and gumption to take on multiple enemies. Moreover, holding up in a static location that you're tied to for shelter, food, and water is exposing one's self to obvious exploit by marauding hunter gathers.

  • Water, backed up sewer, and dealing with new human waste as well as disease and whatever else will run ramped in this SHTF scenario will probably claim the lion’s share or at least be a contender to anything else out there that kills huge swaths of the population.

  • @parlusk1791 You had better hope you don't get into firefights, no matter what kind of gun you have. You may live through one or two if you don't have many opponents and they are not well trained, but I would bet on your luck running out even before your ammo does if firefights are a regular occurrence.

If firefights are likely at your BOL, you failed miserably at choosing a BOL.

  • @Possumlivingdotcom i have already lived through more than a couple.. gun fire is going to be common if the shtf... i live in a small town of 3k ppl, even then if someone know you have food and their children are hungry i am sure they will find the house you are in.

  • @parlusk1791 You have lived through a couple of firefights how? Military service? Police? Did you have backup present or on the way? If you have the idea that life after a collapse will be one of fighting off MZBs every day, good luck with that. I hope you have LOTS of ammo and food stored to feed and supply all the people you will need to keep watch 24/365. And of course, ALL of the casualties will be on the other side. No thanks. I for one do not intend to be in a town at all.

  • @anynameplease If your poor just go with the cheaper firearms. You can buy a hipoint pistol in a 9mm, .40, or .45 for under 170 almost anywhere. The Rem. 870 shotgun can be had for cheap ~ 250 for one with two barrels and a 4+1 capacity. Then the savage axis line of rifles is good quality for cheap and can be had in multiple cartridges all for under 400. You can also pick up a decent scope for $70 at Wally world to put on top of it and have a distance gun for defense and hunting.

  • winchester model 70 in .22-250

    12g pump action shotgun

    9mm glock 17

several traps for small game is better then shooting them that way you don't scare off all the other game in the area, and its more energy effective. best thing to do is stock food so you don't depend on hunting / gathering and anything you do get is just a bonus.

  • fear the man with one rifle

  • "What I DONE wrong"? Lack of education is why we are in this situation to begin with.

  • I don't know how effective it is at longer ranges, but I theorize that a pistol caliber carbine, paired with a pistol [same cal and mag] should have the battle guns well covered, especially when supported by the 12gauge. It was in my mind to buy a FAL for a battle rifle, but have since decided to shop for a scout rifle/bolt gun with a good optic. Don't want to waste expensive .308 by shooting semi auto at long range. Probably won't hit much that way.

  • I'm going to make my husband watch this clip. He complains every time I want to get a new firearm. I just got a sweet dual purpose Mossberg 535. Gonna take it to the range today to see how it shoots, but I really like the fit. This is a great shot gun for women, as it's super light & has an adjustable stock. Great suggestions on guns. You've given me the reasons to explain to my husband why I heed 4 pistols, 2 long guns, and a partridge in a pear tree! There is apparently method to my madness...

  • @tootoolz2 Wow, that's quite the inverse! I, fortunately, do not have to explain my firearms purchases to my spouse, mostly because she has no idea when I acquire them!

  • @Chiliconnada Lucky you! We have a $100.00 Rule. No purchases over $100 without a powwow. However, I feel my arsenal is pretty complete. I may do some horse-trading on a pistol or 2 just to standardize my pistols into all .40 cal. This is my theory til I see a real purdy 1911. Dang! Why don't they make that in a .40??? A 1911 makes my heart flutter! ;-)

  • Why does everyone assume the deer or any other animal will be plenty. All the people that are hungry will be eating them, give it 3 or 4 month's you'll be lucky to see one. Biggest thing is think overall ,traps, fishing, and every bullet shot is one you don't have. Arrows can be reused and all your guns should be of the same caliber. Not sure how much ammo you have for one gun and its heavy to carry if your bugging out. There are a lot of nice 9mm out there with the right load is equal to a 45.

  • @tigerb2 Springfield XD9, holds 16 in the clip..

  • @tigerb2 first day of the hunt. 10,000 spot of orange the whole mountain is covered. No way there will be enough food to hunt. Just look at a super market on a Saturday. I was there and it was Mad house, but that is a regular business day. All those items can be gone just like THAT! Better to stock up now. By Prepping you don't have to got to the super market as often and i like that!

  • @glockman1727ak47 Yep, most people don't realize that grocery stores only hold 3 days stock anymore and it will be gone in 90 minutes max. Think camping trip, all the things you might bring camping, then when your camping, all the things you wish you would have brought.. Sanitation is going to be a huge prob.

After you thought about the camping thing, think MASH unit, your not going to be alone. A group of people who have a few cans of food won't eat for long.

  • @glockman1727ak47 those 10,000 will be after the conventional game when it comes to survival i can count on my fingers the things I won't eat and if it's a martial law or foriegn take over well those UN troops I just ambushed are bound to have rations plus any of their munitions and gear I don't need or want will be great for bartering.

  • If you spend enough on a battle rifle and optic you can largely rely on it as a sniper platform as well. Not denying the utility or accuracy of a bolt-action rifle, but for those with limited funds it might be an option. Additionally, bugging out with eight guns without a vehicle is a trick. My philosophy is to maximize the flexibility of whatever tools I carry, so I need to make my weapons as capable as possible without carrying three different rifles or shotguns. Just my two cents.

  • @mightywombat I can agree with that.

  • Cool vid. Wish you offered more emphasis on calibers and standardization and availability and price of ammo.

Also, you may want to turn up the heat in your house.

  • You got a bunch of Trolls in comments that having nothing to do with the video...

Great Video, got to agree with you. I think the 22 pistols and rifles should be the first guns you get. then others as by your needs.

  • @glockman1727ak47 Yep, anyone starting off needs to first think about what the ammo costs are and how much you can carry. 22lr is a cheap way to start, and learn about your ammo LR is a rim fire not a centerfire.Yes there is a difference. Although a lot of 22lr's are a single action, the henry ar7 is a great survival rifle and you can get clips that hold 15 rounds. Bug out rifle. I just hope everyone with a gun is not going to be shooting each other for stupid shit. Thats the scary part.

  • @tigerb2 "how many times have you been in a fight in your life? ok how many times have you had to eat? 3 times a day every single day" Jack Spirko From the Survival Podcast. It sure would be stupid not to have other things you need and have 8 guns. It you had to choose between food and guns. you got to eat. But we don't have to have just one. we can have both.

  • You could have made a list of your examples in the description slot. A 7.25min vid for a simple 8 examples is ok but a list is too.

  • I've come across 3 12 gauges I've got the 870, but the favorite is the simple light weight brake action which weighs less the half of the others. I only use bolt action 22 75 yards a 1.5 " pattern easy (with scope) Couldn't see a small target at that range without it! I love my colt andiconda. I've got some old 30.06 really never use them. All around the weight of gun and ammo leads me to beleive the 22 is the best all around. I don't ever plan on combat avoiding it is always best.

  • I love your thing about the scope and rifle combination. I know it sounds crazy, but when I buy a rifle, most of the time I spend as much on the glass as i do on the gun...People I hunt with talk smack about it from time to time, but guess who puts the most meat in the freezer. =)

  • can deny it and say ill help everyone...but eventually hungry and family welfare will take over..such as the donner party..im not saying convert to cannibalism..all im saying sooner or later when self and family preservation kicks in your neighbor wont be your buddy anymore..and what he has could easily be yours..but neway after the panics over im sure the strong americans will begin to settle and start over and about the gas..weve been traveling on horseback 4 thousands of years..a new begining

  • believe it or not...not every american needs big brother to tell us what to do and how to live...theres still alot of self sufficient americans left..im not saying there wouldnt be a time at the begining when everyones waiting for gov daddy to make things better but there alot of us that understand the circle of life the strong survive..and if it comes down to me and my family surviving than theres alotta screwed people out there...i have no problem letting the animal inside take over..and every

  • I have a different viewpoint...

Most people won't be able to stay in their homes if the government collapses, they will have to leave and scavenge for food and water. This limits what you can take with you down to one sidearm and one rifle. I prefer a revolver and lever action rifle both caliber-ed in .38 special /..357 magnum for greatest versatility and dependability but to each his own when choosing the two.

  • @CaneFu well, all of those people will not last no more than a week or so "bugging out".

  • @parlusk1791

Unless you have a farm with crops & livestock, as well as a private army to protect it from the thousands of poachers that will come around - YOU will also eventually have to leave your safe haven & go out & scavenge as well. No one can store enough supplies in a small space for the rest of their life. Everyone will become nomadic for awhile & probably end up on foot when all the gas tanks run dry. At that point it will only be possible to carry 1 or 2 smaller firearms with ammo.

  • @CaneFu yeah, you are correct most people will not..... if you are smart you will have enough food and water to stay close to your house for at least 1 year.. most of the people that end up bugging out will die. i have specific guns for specific jobs. the more people that bug out the less i have to worry about

  • @parlusk1791

It would depend on how bad the collapse was and if it was just national or international. If the government doesn't come back then after that first year things would change for you too. You would have to make your choice which 1 or 2 weapons (with ammunition) that you could carry with you, possibly on foot. One overlooked item that many preppers and survivalists never think about is a cargo bicycle equipped with several large baskets which would allow you to scavenge farther away

  • @CaneFu this is why you plan ahead build a retreat, learn how to garden and farm... if it come to the point that you have to take a couple a guns and scavenge then you might as well end it yourself. there isn't going to be friendly villages that will take you in a provide for you.. the whole grab the bug out bag and run to the woods is a death wish.

  • @parlusk1791

It sounds to me like you are dedicating your whole life, spare time & financial resources, to plan for something that may never happen. If there is no Apocalypse then you have wasted your life. I think I'll just let you people continue to plan for the end of civilization. EIGHT GUNS - really??? One rifle and pistol will cover self defense and hunting. The odds are great that life as we know it will continue uninterrupted & there is so much more to life than planning for the end.

  • @CaneFu it is an independent conservative lifestyle. i hope that i am wasting my time, that would be great! if i am not thought, i do not want to look into the face of someone i love and tell them that there is not anymore food. also eight guns to a lot of people "including me" is not a lot of guns. i enjoy collecting firearms.

  • @parlusk1791

"I do not want to look into the face of someone I love and tell them that there is not anymore food"

Unless you have an exceptional job, you are probably currently or will be eventually looking in the face of someone you love and telling them we cannot afford a nicer home, better car, take vacations, etc. because I am spending so much of my income on being a prepper. It slices both way.

  • @CaneFu I do not worry about keeping up with the joneses. I would rather be truly happy and prepared then in debt with a new house, new car, and pictures from my trip to the beach.

  • @parlusk1791

I wasn't talking about your needs...you mentioned taking care of your "loved ones" but it is you who are or will be shortchanging them by spending too much time & money on all of this end of the world nonsense. I meet people like you every now & then - the misguided doomsayer waiting to be "the smart one" in an Apocalyptic world of survivors. The reality is much more likely that long after you & I are dead, civilization will still continue on, even with all of its imperfections.

  • @CaneFu I live a very happy life with my family and friends and have by no means short changed them. It
