@saltburner2 Up to 1926 or so, Pathe recorded to cylinders (Concert 5" size) and dubbed from that, and sometimes they dubbed to submasters, thus causing some distortion, as you said.

Pathe Actuelles were needle-cut dubbings from original hill-and-dale recordings, made to play on conventional gramophones.
The increased low-frequency rumble in these discs betrays their origins.
None the less, a very interesting selection.

You are correct. Basically, Spencer Adams was a pseudo. for Synco Jazz, a pseudo. itself for Joseph Samuels Music Masters!
