Yes and happy birthday to Gavin too! You know what I like Steve. You really do. Just love it. Many thanks. Just love the voice! A few beers listening to this .....on my veranda in Portugal,....... well I will tomorrow!
@albainbridge1 - I can just picture the wonderful veranda scene Al. You know we have a mini heatwave here too, started Tuesday and to last until Sunday, what a difference it makes to feel warm all day long. That's why I love the Algarve and you should take a look around and feel blessed where you live. Thanks for the comment, this track has been just waiting to be found by old SB+Q fans, when I say old, you know what I mean ! lol Enjoy those beers my friend, best wishes always, Steve
@BABSINUK - He always has been good Babs, if you didn't know he wrote 'Sailing' all those years ago. Appreciate your input and for once as it's not strictly country this time. Best wishes and hope you are enjoying the beautiful weather, saving on those heating bills if nothing else. Steve
@cm5956 - Agree, great song, been a fan since I bought that first LP. I'm not so sure it made TOGWT due the lyrics, Radio Luxemburg 208 played it so much, shame the reception in Scotland was terrible !
@FAIRGOLD - I certainly BOW to your family knowledge, just wish someone would post a video of them in that early 70's era, the Slipstream stuff on that STV video is my least favourite of their albums. It is the only vinyl album I did not replace on CD. Cheers, Steve
@kinavian74 I REMEMBER WHISPERING BOB HARRIS TELLING THE TALE PRIOR TO THE SUTHS PERFORMING CHANGE THE WIND ( I THINK) I FEEL MIXED EMOTIONS MAY BE AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL, ALTHOUGH I BELIEVE HE IS A VERY PRIVATE PERSON NOW - WHAT A TALENT-. I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO SEE THE SUTHS (+ QUIVER ) MANY TIMES IN SHEFFIELD. MY MOST VIVID RE-COLLECTION BEING WHEN THEY SUPPORTED LYNRYD SKYNRD. IAN HALFWAY THROUGH THE SET STATED HE HAD BEEN SUFFERING A SAW THRIOAT BUT HAD CONSUMED A BOTTLE OF BRANDY SO HE WAS OK

I'd love to see a live video of The Pie. I'm sure they did it on Old Grey Whistle Test early 70's. My favourite song ever.

@FAIRGOLD - Jeez, brandy is not a drink to take in excess, but agree what a talented songwriting family.
