When they listen to a remix they like it because it modernized and sounds beast. Just because 2 songs sound good does not mean they sound good for the same reason. I personally like the original better not because it sounds super amazing but because I grew up with it. Make sense?

@SuperShadow Every time I hear the brawl version, I want to pick up the game again because it reminds me of the stage it was featured in. Might I also add that the brawl version fits a faster-paced game, and kept pace with the brisk progression, difficulty or not. Granted, the original does that too, but all it reminds me of is a video-game version of operation, where I want to hang myself every time I touch the sides. That's why I try to judge the song by itself instead of tying memories to it.

My only problem with this is that the instruments aren't pronounced enough, they all sort of blend in to this big high-pitched wind and you have to really remember the original to hear them perfectly.

It's just a bit too, you know, soft, without the character of the original.

Well, I think that point was to to put them in the background somewhat. If you just listen to it as a whole, you still get the ambiance. Though more difficult to pick out each thing individually.
