  • Plain and simple....no on is perfect and we all have made a mistake or two. Forgiving someone else is more about you than them or the situation that caused the apology. Forgiving someone else releases them from their actions releases the hurt that they may have caused you . Forgiving someone else isn't about the other person it's about you.....just a though...

  • @26Rab * I mean just a thought...LOL

  • @26Rab But do you have to "Forgive" to get over something? Cause I am a person that's easy to put something in the past and let it go............... I just never allow that person to redeem themselves in my eyes. And I write them off.

  • @ASocialiteTV under normal circumstances yes, however you could be the exception to the rule. We aren't perfect you shouldn't just write that person off , reason being everyone in your life is going to do something worthy of your forgiveness or you needing theirs. If you used you current logic you would be growing old alone and by yourself eventually. So to answer your question I guess you don't in your situation...........

  • cont: Always keep in mind too that u want God to forgive u when u do some thing wrong so u have to do the same. And by the way do u have a face book page? :0)

  • @lifeandmusic Thanks for the feedback. And believe me. I know everything you're saying. However, where you are saying you don't have to be friends with them or talking to them again............. Is that "Truly" forgiving? Or is that "acknowledging and moving on?"

  • @ASocialiteTV Yes to me it's all three because some people are only in your life for a season but it also depends on how close u are are to that person. All u can do is just learn from it and move on.

  • I truly understand where your coming from. I have a hard time forgiving people as well especially when the person is close to me. But the only thing in my opinion that you could do is just say to the person that's apologizing to u is that u appreciate the fact that they acknowledged they have wronged u in some way and that u do forgive them. Now this doesn't mean that u have to be friends with this person or even talk to them again.
