I have nothing against the Hijab, I just don't agree that women are forced to wear it even if many don't want to do it, and if they don't wear , they are punished.

I wear hijab & no one forces me to wear it.. I live in an area where there are no Muslims at all, so I stand out.. I also got my car all scratched up coz the people here would rather me not wear the hijab.. in other words, there is more pressure on me NOT to wear hijab than there is TO wear it!
I should try not to believe all the Zionist owned media tell you, coz in short .. they lie!

Firstly that is not what you implied in your post. Secondly .. who? You know these women personally do you? They themselves have told you that they are forced against their will to wear hijab? You see there are an awful lot of Muslim women who don't wear hijab at all.. but there are many who fight for the right to wear it .. Turkey is a good example of that!

Incidentally, I had 2 friends.. twins, non-Muslim who I grew up with. Their parents would never allow them to wear trousers or jeans.. they hated wearing skirts & dresses, but their parents forced them to.. so quick lets get it on the news!

I have to agree with you on that.. Saudi being the biggest hypocrits of all time! I feel strongly that hijab should be the womans choice, & not for a man or a government to tell us that we have to wear it.. it should be between us women & ALLAH. But you know Nun's were also given a lot of greif for wearing the habit not that long ago in history.. just as governments shouldn't force women to wear hijab, governments should also not force us NOT to wear it by banning it as they did in France.

I get what your saying but Hijab isn't a choice. Allah has ordered us to wear it he didn't say you can choose. It's not a choice but people treat it like it is. But we all know their is a punishment in the end and it's not worth not wearing hijab. As for forcing women to wear hijab, thats crazy. The man shouldn't have to force a women, she should do it not because a man said so but because Allah ordered it and our lives should be dedicated to serving Allah only. Thanks, Rukayah

Yes ALLAH has orderd us to wear it.. & I do wear hijab & love it.. but there are some who don't want to wear & choose not to, this is between them & ALLAH, & I don't believe that any government or individual has the right to force that on any woman. I've seen sisters on the beach in full niqab & even gloves on, walking with her husband who is in shorts & a T-shirt.. double standards!! The finger is always pointed at sisters, yet I've seen sites where Muslim men behave dispicably.. focus on them!

Incidentally, I just want to add that my own personal oppinion is that Muslimah's should wear hijab.. but forcing anyone is wrong, non of us are perfect, & its also a big step for reverts to start wearing hijab.. encouragement is different to force. AsI was saying, the focus should be on our brothers too, because some of them do far far worse than a sister not wearing hijab!

Your right but even if a women is forced to wear hijab and niqab on the beach or in the hot blazing dessert she should be wearing it for Allah. Im sure in some places this happens and if a women speaks out she will be punished by the man. But she has to believe he will be punished by Allah, and that its not her job to please her husband by wearing niqab. We are sevants of Allah not our husbands. Muslim women are beautiful, but we need to obey Allah and wear hijab like he ordered! Thanks, Rukayah

In some countries like France the hijab is banned... also in Turkey (which is actually a Muslim country so shame on them) wearing hijab in public buildings is against the law... just doing it can cause you to be arrested.. and mashALLAH soe sisters do make a stand.

It is commanded of ALLAH in the Qur'an.. & ndeed even in the Bible Paul states that any woman who does not cover her hair should have her head shaved! Jewish women also cover their hair.

If you are referring to Saudi Arabia where women have to wear niqab & can't drive.. then I agree with its pathetic! The Sauds are the BIGGEST hypocrits going! One of the princes has a diamond studded merc, to name only but one of their extravigances.. this while children are starving in the world! But having said that, Bush didn't think to take 'democracy' to Saudi did he?! Instead he is welcomed with huge banquets & given expensive gifts.. I can't stand the hypocrit Sauds!

But in general I don't know any Muslim woman who is forced to wear hijab.. In Iran they also have to wear a scarf.. I personally don't agree with that & in such cases I can see where your coming from.. but you should have expressed that fromt he start because there is so much controversy about hijab even in the west & a lot of misconceptions which is wrong. Many Muslim women around the world choose all by themselves to wear hijab.
