  • .. o..o this video.. was posted on my 14th birthday.. o..o weird. lol. if only i had a piano. lol. i would love to be able to play as beautifully as her.

  • she looks like a porn star

  • @Smoothenbol

No, she looks like an attractive woman. The fact that you immediately associate "hot woman" with "porn star" suggests more about you than anyone else ;)

  • Bosendorfer 290 Imperial...or any Bosendorfer piano you can get your hands on is the ultimate supreme piano experience. They are second to none ;)

    sorry Steinway...

  • @DICACIO1 I like Bosendorfer, but I had gotten the chance to play on a Fazioli F278 and I haven't found a piano that can match the tone or feel of it.

  • @christophbell2 kool...I gotta find a video for that piano so I can take a gander LOL

  • How old is she?

  • @DoctorD47 She's 26

  • I love it when people brag their absolute pitch

  • what a waste of money - she is ridiculous. I think this is distinctively the best word for it.

  • te amo lola.

  • you better bring Mozart back from the dead for 1.6 million.

  • Scriabin is fantastic.

Please examine the posibillity to perform SONATA FOR PIANO (2008) 1st prize in National composition competition and ANGARTA (2001). Both of them are written in 12 tone system at the the age of 15 and 22.

    Michael the Greek

  • @satanisjhvh

    She looks like what again?

  • What piece is she playing at the beginning? It's very beautiful!

  • @swtbubblegumgrl16 Scriabin Op8 no.12....i think

  • @PeacefulStrife yeah

  • I'd like to tickle her vibratto!!

  • HAHA I'm better and I can't even read sheet music.

  • Great !

  • she is good, but most importantly: SHE IS HOT! DAMN!!!!

  • @bastardomentiroso That mentality is what got us Spears and Bieber.

  • I am not surprised at how many haters are out there. She is great not good but great. Instead of hate appreciate.

  • fckin hell i can't even tell what note is what just by hearing.

  • @Crodajudile it's Etude Op 8 no 12 by Scriabin: /watch?v=VK2uTtuI84w

  • @Brrrendan2 Thank you very much !! i've been searching this music for a while!! thank you ! it's magnificient!

  • hahah im turned on. hhaha jp. seriously i wish i could play like that, just very expressive and true, not like rehearesed all "aristocratic painted" perfect

  • what is she playing in the begining of the video?! i didn't find it, i know it's pretty famous..

  • My Gawd she's BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

  • Talented... right. BOOOOOOOOOOBS!!!!!!!!

  • piano porn, I am sorry, that's how I see it and I am certain that's how her management is marketing her.

  • @PK292TSM You gotta be kidding? She is fully dressed and btw most of the female pianists are wearing dresses that are FAR more revealing like silky low cut and backless dresses. Its not her fault that clothes happens to look sexier on her simply because she's got the body for it. Guess she needs to wear a trash bag to hide her curves from pervs like u lolz

  • @PK292TSM Grow up.

  • so...? and..? oh wow, she has perfect pitch, big deal..! This is just glamourising classical music because she's pretty...

  • Absolute hear is a gift.... No need to be proud of this... But yeah she's a good player.

  • fuck my girfriend!

  • you are so hot girl friend bravo donna

  • She IS the total package- Extremely talented, beautiful, and personable. A one in a billion human being. Glad I am able to witness her.

  • shes good but this video is pretty stupid.... really stupid. nice trans 10 liszt

  • wow. that little stunt she pulled off with that dude with the piano note distinguishing... any pianist above grade 4 royal conservatory can do that! there's seriously nothing amazing about it. I personally am a grade 9 royal conservatory pianist. i should know.

  • @Musicownz1997 Yeah, but she's really cute when she does it; though I would imagine, by your snobby attitude, you wouldn't notice that...as likely, you can't see past your upturned nose.

  • @drumwraith like musicownz1997, I also am a grrrade 9 rrroyal conserrrvatorrry super grrrand pooba pianist, but would have to agree with both of you to an extent....lots of people can do that "stunt". BUT...they would come off as real snobby narcissistic assholes like ol' musicownz. Very few could do it while remaining genuinely cute and innocent of self elevation charges. That, to me, is as refreshing as everything else she does.

  • @drumwraith i'm talkin about the skill not how she does it...

  • @Musicownz1997 yeah, but regular people dont know that. they are easily amazed by any little stunt like that. you should also know that and use it to your advantage, like lola did.

  • @TheF1PinkVoltaDream oh you and that stupid Musicowns...this is NOT something any good musician can do. This is perfect pitch and only a very very small number of musicians have it. You clowns.

  • @Musicownz1997 no such thing as grade 9..

  • @SofiieeWinter ok now ur joking me. everybody knows that rcm goes grade 1-10 then arct.

  • @Musicownz1997

I play for fun - self taught, not much skill beyond simple tunes and chords. and I knew both notes. its not that big a deal, alot of people have an ear for music.

  • @DaleCaliente lol that's exactly what im saying. the guys acting all like wooow!!!! and im sitting here going wow that dude doesnt know anything about music

  • I got a little turned on seeing her play......... :P

  • Cut that show off... Humble players are the best looking...

  • Good job.

  • perfect pitch is easy... too many piano players are able to do that.... and especially in this video...one note??? is that just a joke??? try at least 3 notes...

  • I heard that Mozart heard a symphony at a church a couple times and wrote it down with only a handful of mistakes. There are some gifted people around us.

  • @caricama

Not even a couple times, he heard it once at the premier concert and wrote the entire score. He went back once to fix minor mistakes.

  • damn.. haha and everyone still thinks we are created equally :D

  • perfect pitch.

    damn.

  • @skinnyrichard1

Dude, I knew you would be all over Lola's clips blasting anyone who posts a comment you don't like, or you disappear the comment as spam! You on the payroll?

All the comments reflect her "performing" skills, as people will compare her to true classical concert pianists.

  • What is the first piece she plays???

  • @qwertyasdyaln etude op 8 n 12. scriabin

  • This video is goofy, but Lola is extraordinarily talented, with tremendous musical skills, personality and ideas. And the amount of demeaning comments and all the slander that people try to spread about her only further confirms her amazing place in music. And how confidently mediocre people dare to judge her! No matter. These same people talked nearly word-for-word the same trash about Liszt, Paderewski, and Horowitz. So she is definitely in the right company there.

  • @kasatka1054 Yes. You are right. There are some strange folks around. Lola is one of those special people. It is normal that very talented people are usually nice people also.

  • @kasatka1054 How can you put her even in the same sentience as Liszt? You must be out of your fucking mind.

  • @cfwpiano totally agree with you. performances are not just about how "showy", how "dramatic" or how "fast" a piece can be played. I feel so sad because all the voicings are mashed together and I cannot hear them independently because she does not focus on dynamic control at all. All her pieces are just going to be like a wash of sounds. playing passionately doesn't mean that one plays well. /sigh

  • @kasatka1054

These same people weren't born in the 19th century :p

  • Lola rocks---whether it's Madonna or Mozart!

  • stop kissing ass. sheesh youre not even men!

  • She plays with all the passion and nuance of a Thompson Sub-Machine Gun.

  • Please, do not compare her ever with Valentina Lisitsa.

  • I cannot understand such fascination with dilettantism; undoubtedly she has great technique, but no musicianship whatsoever. And it is indeed astonishing that amongst the true musicians she was chosen for whatever project.

  • Hmm, yes, interesting. I am sure people such as Valery Gergiev are dilettantes and chose her simply by poking their finger in the air. They are just idiots and know nothing about music. Certainly, they are all dumb and unqualified comparing to you, Huduk77. How about you chose your soloists? Hmm, oops nobody cares about you or your opinion. You are not even a dilettante, rather entirely Koo koo.

  • And you are a self proclaimed expert on both? If you had any clue regarding music or art, you'd know it is laughable to say "better players" simply because it is your irrelevant opinion. A person you call a better player may be the absolute worst for me and my taste. Every fool has an opinion and you are just one of them. What proves to me that you are an idiot is that you seriously believe that you are correct.

  • Even your attempt at sarcasm is pathetic.

  • yeah yeah, blah blah. Too long. Shhhh.

  • Dude?? Do you think anyone has time to read your bs? Gosh, get a life and zip it!

    Lola Rocks!!

  • @JStephs1950 God, I feel bad for ppl who tolerate you on a daily basis. Lola is exceptional, and you must get over it. Your purpose in life is to watch great talent and quietly spread shit on it like a tiny bug and admire mediocrity because you identify with it best. Well, guess that's how it goes.

  • Interesting. Admitting that you do feel bad for someone means there's hope for you yet.

Given the tenor of your posts, you seem to be about 14 years old, so that gives you time, too.

And I don't have as negative an opinion of Lola as you seem to think I do, even though it's certainly not as high as yours.

  • Haha, surely you have an answer to everything. First sign of a person in denial. Judging by your bitterness it seems to me that YOU are one of those misunderstood "musical" musicians who people wouldn't even listen to for free. I wish I could promote Lola, but it seems to me she is doing fine. I've been in the music world long enough to know the type of a jerk you and that dude below represent.

  • Are you guys seriously hating on her playing? This woman is one of the most amazing pianists I've ever seen, when you can sit down and play any better, let me know.

  • Music is much more than a fast tempo and loud sound.

Unfortunately, I do not see any intelligence here.

  • I couldn't agree more. The other clips of her playing I've listened to have a singular lack of nuance in her playing.

  • @JStephs1950 Hey genius, did it cross your mind that perhaps YOU are incapable of hearing nuances and appreciating pure talent. Go nap to your old maid's snoozing videos. Btw all the greatest virtuosi (Rach, Liszt, Horowitz) have all been accused of being fast loud and "not musical", by irrelevant and jealous haters. Guess that's your purpose.

  • MrSkinnyRichard1 once more launches into personal attacks against a poster who disagree with him. Very troll-like behavior, there, Dick. Anyway, if Lola's limited range of dynamics is what floats your boat, then I say, enjoy. I certainly don't think any less of you for it. In the same vein, I ask that you refrain from abusing others who don't share your aesthetic.

  • @JStephs1950 Don't be using "your intelligent" language as a mask for malicious and inadequate comments. You say limited range of dynamics as if at were a fact, when it is merely an opinion of a clueless dush. I have very little patience for people whose brain range is limited. She is a pianist of an amazing variety that can even be heard on an unprofessionally recorded videos. Suggestion: REMOVE your earplugs!

  • She seems to have three levels of volume: loud, louder & loudest. I like Valentina Lisitsa much better.

  • Have you heard her Rachs sonata 2nd movement?? Please do before you post your nonsense. And Lisitsa??? Aka pianos old maid? Oh yes, she can put an elephant to sleep in 3 seconds. With the exception of Lola, those piano playing female-resembling species have 3 levels of boredom: boring, unbearable, Lisitsa!

  • God, it's so easy to tell the nutcases in any forum. They almost invariably see their opinion of various performers as the ONLY valid opinion, and then attack other posters who dare to disagree with that opinion or who give a critical assessment which is not completely laudatory of their favored players.

  • Anyone can be this good, with the money she has been invested in.

  • i see. she is so good, it is in her genetics. :) haha

  • i like the way her cleavage bounces up and down

  • perfect pitch bitch.

  • one day I'll bite her hand and many others.

  • This young lady is fantastic. One in a billion. Beautiful, talented, perfect pitch. Oh, what I would give for a daughter like her.

  • I didn't know Lola had perfect pitch! WoW! Excellent.

    Nice post Blake!

  • ::i just did big grin lol::

  • How about 1.6 million dollars to marry me and be my piano queen? I just need to go to the bank.

  • i need 1.6 million dollars

  • It's called absolute pitch, or perfect pitch; I can't believe that guy doesn't know it, and I was even more surprised by how amazed he was("Oh my god!") at her being able to point out F# and D.

Some people are born with it and some acquire it through years of practice, but please. A virtuoso who can't do that is not a virtuoso.(not trying to sound cocky, but it's the truth. Ask anyone at music school and they'll say it comes naturally.)

  • Perfect pitch is an extra added bonus which some people are born with naturally. Developing it through practice is far less common. Your comment is not so accurate because you can be a skilled musician or conductor or even a virtuoso and never acquire perfect pitch. Plenty of examples show it's never a guarantee. People with perfect pitch are quite rare. So she is lucky to have one naturally.

  • I... guess you're right. I was born with it, and I've had many friends who've attained it as well, so I never thought of it as explicitly rare. Point taken.

  • Absolute ears is the one who can tune the instrument without E=440 sound sample.

The one who can tell the piano keys is not, for the E key may be 336 Hertz or 444 hertz and she cannot notice that.

100% piano students can tell the piano keys, but only 1% of them can have absolute ears.

  • Not 100% LOL! thats crazy ratio man

  • is it really absolute pitch? i could identify the pitches but i always thought i had relative pitch. normally when i hear a note it might remind me of the beginning of a particular piece and that helps me identify the note. im not sure thats perfect pitch but on the other hand maybe i developed it though practice?

  • @capoeirahataari

you only have perfect pitch if you are born with it. However, you could have developed really good relative pitch! (or you could have had perfect pitch this whole time without realizing it).

    MERRY CHRISTMAS! : )

  • this is the Scriabin Etude Op. 8 No. 12

and I think Lola is almost right up there with the very best female pianists - Lisitsa and Argerich.

  • Comment removed

  • You're right, Lola, is in her own league...the wanna-be league. Since looks have nothing, whatsoever, to do with playing the piano, or musicianship in general, your comment (and apparent affinity for shemales), is, quite simply, laughable.

  • best female pianist on earth if not the best pianist PERIOD!

  • Let's not get carried away with "best ever" or "best" anything as that's all subjective. You're trivializing other pianists by saying that. You don't think Yuja Wang, Valentina Lisitsa, Valentina Igoshina, Martha Argerich, or Olga Kern are just as good if not better? And best pianist PERIOD is just so laughable a statement that I don't even know what to say.

  • wow, diesel828, your a jerk! of course i think those pianist are good. but theyre boring to listen too because they dont have a personality like lola does with her music. the only thing laughable here is your ignorant reply to my comment.

  • Oh, I'm a jerk? I gave you a fucking civil response to your ignorant comment but to hell with civility. What's laughable is you saying those other pianists don't have personality. Who the hell are you to make assurances that are completely subjective? First of all, learn how to spell and write properly. Secondly, get over the fact that Lola gets dolled up and shows some skin since it's confusing you into thinking she's the "best ever,' you fucktard.

  • lol

  • When people say best pianist, they only mean their personal favorite. There is no best because everyone likes someone or something different.

  • A pianist is a pianist. Why do I keep seeing people separate male and female pianists in 2 categories?

  • It is American way. Americans have a habit of sexually watching the world. In musics, there is no such kind of things. In other words, Americans are generally not so good in musics. Don't get me wrong, please, for I have been an American for more than 20 years. I just tell some of the truth.

  • In my own experience, people are like this regardless of where they are from and I think it may just be human nature but I still think it is incorrect to judge many based on the acts of a few.

  • I'm not gonna lie but I am a little bit jealous.

  • Lola is the whole package. She is a highly intelligent and talented musician and has a really nice bubbly personality too. With Lola, there are no gimmicks, as she is never showy and interprets the music in a completely honest and personal way.

  • No gimmicks? Never showy? Interprets honestly? You're either blind and deaf, or simply too ignorant to know any better.

  • Kenn. I don't understand why you are saying this. It is my opinion. I think that Lola is a down to earth nice person. You compare her with Martha Argerich. Very good. I admire her also, as I'm sure does Lola.

  • Oh, I'm sure she is a very nice person, but I DID NOT compare her to Argerich. I said that her name should NEVER be mentioned in the same breath as Argerich. Please don't put words in my mouth.

  • @KennYWooD2 Ok, nobody gives a shit about your opinion or Argerich. You are a nobody and her time was 300 years ago, it's done, get over it. Lola is a new breath of air. Her combo of looks and talent is unfair to the rest but heck! Life is unfair! Go watch her classical videos, she is tremendous. Anyone who denies it is a jealous MOFO.

  • Kenn. It was not my intention to "put words in your mouth". I think you have quite a low opinion of Lola. I just wish you could see in her the genuine qualities that I and others see. Personally, I am not interested in whether someone is beautiful or not - others clearly are here. What is important to me is a person's talent and their character. On both counts, Lola is one of these very rare "treasures". There are plenty of cheap celebrity types around. Lola is not one of them.

  • Hmmm...who cares about his comments? Isn't that kind of like needing to gawk at an accident? This woman is amazing!

  • liszt transcendental etude at 1:17 and i think its no.10

  • what song is she playing at the beggining?

  • Fun interview - super talented girl! Her Scriabin, Rachmaninoff and Chopin are to die for!!!!!!!!

  • neiman marcus charged my grandmother 75,000 dollars for a cookie recipie.

  • SHE'S ABSOLUTELY PERFECT PITCHED!!!!!!! Freaking awesome!!

  • Actually many musicians who have a highly trained ear can identify pitches very well. Especially if they are a pianists. It is called piano pitch. They are tuned into the timbre of the instrument. The real test is if a person can sing any pitch and in tune. Having said that, she probably does have absolute pitch.

  • She's amazing and spunky AND HAS PERFECT PITCH. WOW!

  • Comment removed

  • HOLY CRAP SHE HAS PERFECT PITCH AND SHE IS VIRTUOSO AND SHE IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!! simply a fierce thing to behold

  • yep, she's a virtuoso alright. But why would anyone rich enough pay 1.6 million dollars when you can watch her performances on youtube for free????

  • woa!!! nice move at 0.44

  • I am tired of all this show presenters and their stupid comments trying to take value from you. You are worth more than the 1.6 million and without the stupid Steinway.

  • You are definitely worth $1.59mil....great interview!

  • people who say she isn't a virtuoso are jealous.

it's not about who's better...cause that's all based on opinion. your best choice could be my worst....my worst your best...get the point?,....every one shut the hell up and watch her play and listen.

    you bunch of pricks.

  • That's a nice smart ass answer for basically saying she's not good at all.

Demosj, don't be another prick in the classical world who compares pianists to others and not as standalone talented musicians.

Whether you like it or not, Astanova is a talented virtuoso pianist.

  • You're making completely fair points, and yet none of it seems to register with Demosj. As you have, probably, never gone to a conservatory, let me help you understand what type of clown you're dealing with in Demosj. It's a chubby kid, whose mom from the early years thought him super talented and took him to the music school in his town. There he was, no doubt, a superstar and grew the ego and attitude that quickly surpassed his real "musical gifts".

  • i wish i could see what that guy said someone took off his comments

  • Then he went into real world and was surprised to learn that very few other people shared his mom's view. So the ego turned into a huge inferiority complex, and he's now busy trying to demean and downgrade people that are in his age group, but WAY beyond his league. Its nothing, but jealousy and anger.

  • Guys like Demosj are a dime-a-dozen in any major conservatory, the "misunderstood geniuses" who can't come to grips with their own limitations and deal with it by dissing the gifted and calling us mindless . The final comment to Demosj is simple: stop pretending to be the spokesperson Horowitz or other names you keep throwing - they never appointed you. Then feel free to place your own videos so we can witness your "musical triumph". Until then, your opinion is completely irrelevant.

  • So .........????????????

    Lokopiano

  • I guess Leonengrad must be one of the "professional" pianists who wishes he/she had the career Lola is having! Instead of writing your smelly remaks, go watch her virtuoso transcription of Rihanna which is as virtuoso as it gets. It is sure to help you stop laughing and start crying of jealousy, hahaha!

  • have you ever heard of argerich ?!
