I think that the movies compliment the books very well. It's like they need each other. While the books give you the story, character development, and what goes on at the school, J.K. doesn't give you very descriptive details.
The movies show you just how magical the wizard worlding world is by showing show all of the visual aspects and all of the details. They make the action seem much more frightening and real. However, without the books, it would be hard to understand the plot of the movies.

Try thinking again. Harry Potter was such a genius book because J.K. Rowling is an absolutely brilliant author who made the books grow up with us, and let us watch the characters change as they grew older. And also, J.K. Rowling must be MUCH richer than Stephanie Meyer, but that's just a guess.

I agree with you about it being easier to include moments in the first two, but i am not sure if you're saying they could have cut scenes they put in in the movie or if it's okay. I'm mainly just trying to get across that the bridge opening was important for the general audience who have not read the books and it opens with that rather than the ministers talking about it to start with action that will draw the audience in. It's simply strategic.
I loved the first 2 movies, they were so layed back, and took there time, now, 3 - 5,6,.. they seem so rushed, parts are missed, evrything hapens so fast, It seems like you dont get time to watch it, its just in a rush to get as much of the book story into the film. :(

Well because the first two books were just over 300 pages and had a very to-the-point storyline. As the later books have alot more plot to unfold. They try to incorporate as much storyline as they can because books 4-7 were 600+ pages.

People call it Sorcerer's Stone and Philosopher's Stone. Whichever sounds better to the person saying it. But, yes, I think it is originally called Philosopher's Stone.
When J.K. Rowling wrote it, she wrote Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, but the publishing company thought that American kids would think of philosophy as like Greek or Roman or whatever the boring stuff is called. They basically thought we were too stupid to understand the title.

Could be any other editing program, premiere pro is closer to a prosumer level I think. And for compositing they would probably use a lot of their own software (not one program). Warner brothers also outsources shots to multiple companies like ILM and some others. And they also use their own soft- and hardware.
Maybe they use macs, who knows :p
(not that premiere and after effects are bad or anything, It's great and I use it myself)

But there is still another film to come out which will be getting split into 2 parts, and that is called Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

(7). There wrong about the Warewolfs. Because you can only become a werewolf when it's full moon. And it's host has no control over it.

1 and 2 are good .. cause this books are thin .. ;) but for example order of phoenix or ... half blood prince are too BIG .. yes but .. they can get off the scene with phoenix and make a battle inside of HOGWARTS ... or they can make a Christmas with Fleur and Bill :) or they can get off the starting effects with the bridge and they put here the Rufus and a muggle politican conversation ... sorry I dont know the right name cause czech translater made own names ;) ..

I agree with you about it being easier to include moments in the first two, but i am not sure if you're saying they could have cut scenes they put in in the movie or if it's okay. I'm mainly just trying to get across that the bridge opening was important for the general audience who have not read the books and it opens with that rather than the ministers talking about it to start with action that will draw the audience in. It's simply strategic.

I loved the first 2 movies, they were so layed back, and took there time, now, 3 - 5,6,.. they seem so rushed, parts are missed, evrything hapens so fast, It seems like you dont get time to watch it, its just in a rush to get as much of the book story into the film. :(

Well because the first two books were just over 300 pages and had a very to-the-point storyline. As the later books have alot more plot to unfold. They try to incorporate as much storyline as they can because books 4-7 were 600+ pages.

I agree with you but I think it's because there's happening a lot more in the books and it's difficult too get everything in the movie, but everything in the book is so important for the nexts books, that it has to be in the movie,
because els the people who don't read te books wouldn't understand that's why it all happens in a rush,
But I wish that the slowed it down a little more too

When J.K. Rowling wrote it, she wrote Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, but the publishing company thought that American kids would think of philosophy as like Greek or Roman or whatever the boring stuff is called. They basically thought we were too stupid to understand the title.

Could be any other editing program, premiere pro is closer to a prosumer level I think. And for compositing they would probably use a lot of their own software (not one program). Warner brothers also outsources shots to multiple companies like ILM and some others. And they also use their own soft- and hardware.
Maybe they use macs, who knows :p
(not that premiere and after effects are bad or anything, It's great and I use it myself)

Superman returns was edited in Premiere, and alot of compositing was done with after effects in that movie also.

well like i said everybody who makes the movies assume emphasis on assume that ppl have read the books.i know that the actors haven't read the books i never said that. i like all the harry potter movies there great. it takes time to make all the stuff they make and i appreciate them for it. i still like reading it better than seeing, but i still love the movies. im gonna go see this again! cuz it so good.

I guess we can't alwiz fel exciting in life. Book 5 is boring but in a way, it's more into all character's emotion and more into theis personal life. Which in a way is also something differ from the rest..I do agree it's bored..the movie is much better in a way..

personally i liked the movie...yeah they left out stuff but jk approved it so apparently it wasnt that important...we still learned about neville's parents and the other stuff just not as detailed as in the book. the ppl who make the movies assume that the ppl goin to see the movie have already read the book and knows every little detail. the movie didn't suck one bit! i luved the action and everything. if they put in everything it would have been a four hour movie

Not all the people read the books, (even some of the actors never read the books), so people get dissapointed of movie 5 so we have to admit that it was one of the worst movies in Harry potter series. (I don't like the book 5)but i have to agree that in the book you feel desperate, you want to scream). And in the movie is very boring and nothing happen, what the hell they where thinking?
