Another way to get the wisps: "Fomorian Order" in Hoarfrost Hollow got 9 wisps so you could do it twice and would be ready for party as well ;)

@JonnieCore42 i know not many wisps spawn in the whole battle, but 2 spawn in the very beginning. you can just go in, spear, forfeit, and repeat. then again i'm only basing the info in the description from personal experience, so i don't exactly know any other easy battles with loads of wisps.

@C3R3ALM4K3R i killed wisps at the beginning of the wind through the ruins battle quest, where 2 wisps spawn right at the beginning. many people also say to go through decisive battle because at least 5 wisps spawn through the whole dungeon. it's up to you.

the smash key is D when playing on keyboard mode, and it's right click when playing in mouse mode. you press it after doing 1, 2, 3, or 4 regular attacks (S on keyboard mode, left click on mouse mode) to do a smash move that does more damage and has a chance of hitting a critical.

@Kidlat69z that's the 4th attack smash, officially called 3960 Hurricane. it's one of the reasons why spear lanns are so popular, especially once you get transformation (in that state you are nearly invincible)

@Kidlat69z it's not a special skill that requires a skillbook, it's just the 4th smash. in other words, as soon as you get spears (level 24), you can use it. just use 4 regular attacks and hold down the smash key.

but if you are talking about transformation, that's from a chain of quests at level 40

Swords have pros and cons, same with spears. Although I prefer swords since the survivability is much better. And the dodge gives you invincibility frames.

@leetxhax yes, that is true. spear lanns are known for their high DPS, but at a cost of stamina, and survivability in general. since fury infusion instantly restores all your stamina, spear lanns can almost instantly jump right back into battle. but, because FI consumes hp, spear lanns quickly run out of hp. that is why spear lanns are more recommended in parties, especially with a staff evie

@wow71196 if you really have killed 15, it would say so, but it would be glitched and marrec wont recognize that you got the title. you have to log off, then log back on to actually show your current spear kills or for it to be officially recognized.

this is a known glitch, and because of that i wonder why nexon still hasnt fixed it

@kajal091 you get the spear mission from marrec, that is the only way to get the title required for twin spears. the title is not novice wisp piercer, it is called "Twin Spear Wielder"

otherwise, if you have the right title, then it must be glitched

@Railium you dont get recipes for twin spears (i dont know what youre talking about, there arent any recipes in the game unless you count the ones from crafting)

read the info box, i clearly explain what you need to do in order to use twin spears. afterwards, you have to make your own twin spears via crafting at ferghus (except for the level 28 twin spears, which are from a level 30 quest. i recommend you just buy those and use twin swords until level 28

@AzNPryDe2o6 in the beginning, due to low weight capacity, go with light armor. once you can hold more weight (you will need weight endurance, a level 34 skill)

i recommend using the following:

crimson rage from level 10-20

from 20-34 use the savage leather set (you wont be able to get some pieces until level 26)

then 34 and on, once you have decent weight endurance+heavy armor mastery, use the blood prince (heavy armor) you will need to enhance the set a couple times or it will be too heavy

thats how you get the rest of the bp. there is a list of mini quests on the info page of each battle quest. they give you more money, and more bp.

@Ginko26 actually, it isnt really the screen flashing, but you hear a sharp sound, and the area around your character flashes for half a second. i cant really describe it well. try going into a low level dungeon with twin swords equipped, and use only the D key or right click to attack. you will be able to tell the difference between a critical and a standard

1. reach level 24

2. finish hell beyond the door

3. give ellis the broken wand

then marrec will have a quest for you. that is when you kill wisps. and be sure to kill with spears.

@chickenpieawesome2 i bet you havent leveled past 30 yet. if you mouse over the skill thumbnail, you will see the requirements to get the rank. if you want to get your skills to rank A, you must be level 20 or over. for rank 9, you must be level 30 or over. for rank 8, you must be level 36 or higher.

@kamakazee1331 its a glitch where it doesnt show you how many youve killed until you log off then log back in. once you have killed all 15 wisps, it will say you got the title, but npcs wont recognize it. just relog and it will show up

@pikachuhat from my experience, getting to level 18 isnt too hard if you do all your story quests, which will give you more than enough exp to get to that level. 20 onward is more of a challenge. getting to 22 might take you about 5 or 6 hours, depending how efficiently you spend your tokens and what battle quests you do.

@pikachuhat getting to level 22 might take some time, because all you have are the hollow battle quests. i recommend doing white tyrant and prepare for counterattack on season of macha often for the exp.

getting to level 26 is definitely easier, since at level 22 you get access to the ainle story. at that point, you should join parties for the battle quests, since they are pretty hard to solo at that level. will probably take 4 or 5 hours after reaching 22

take time to get used to the game

@neigjei1 try relogging if you havent already. theres a glitch where titles you get will be in effect but unrecognized by npcs. thats what i had to do. just go to main page, log back on, and it should be fine. if that doesnt work, then i have no clue what is happening
