without umd it is obvious this device (console) was going to fail so its of no surprise its failing in japan and will fail in america and europe too.no one wants to have to buy all their old game again.and with no "fun" vita games but instead only game for hardcore gaming addicts with geeky games such as uncharted and the ever annoying call of duty,there is no real fanbase for the vita.until all the disney cars and eye pet or carnival island type games,no casual or young gamer will buy one

Sounds good in theory, but Remote Play at the moment (PS3 - PSP) is an awful, unstable, laggy experience. And I remember that the alternate viewpoint thing was promised too, but all we got was a rear view mirror in an F1 game and it was abandoned. Hopefully it will all be rectified this time round.

@jaredwatkin nope at the moment there are only about 15 games that can be streamed to vita and they are pretty much crap.

@jaredwatkin That's not practical. If you go on holiday for 1 - 5 weeks then you're going to have to keep your PS3 on the whole time and you will also need to have a good WI-FI connection when you play it. If you use 3G then you're going to lose more money then what you would save not buying the games and also a PS3 controller has more buttons than the PS Vita so its going to be harder to play some PS3 games.

@QuickFruit i agree. except, you could, in theory, use the right side of the back-panel on the vita as R2, and the left side as L2. that shouldn't be too hard to implement..

To be honest, I don't know why Sony aren't simply doing their utmost to try and ensure that the Vita can play most/all PS3 games, and that slap that all over their ad campaigns in BIG WRITING LIKE THIS! Then sit back and watch those things run out the door.

@Norimbulus Most games, but atm all of the games doesnt support the Remote play! dont have any list of the games that doesnt but there are afew videos showing how it looks when it doesnt work etc.
