I love the EarthBound/MOTHER series, and I love this game.

This song is the longest song in the game.

Most of the songs are just several-second loops, but this is an entire song. Instead of looping, it actually fades out (yes, it does that ingame, it's not just part of the video) and plays again. Which is weird since the area in which it plays is very small and boring and you'll only hear a bit of it unless you stick around.

I would pay to hear a remix of this, or to hear a Vocaloid or UTAU or something sing to it.

MOTHER was Madotsuki's favourite game, she would play it all day. Her parents got mad because she neglected her studies, so they took the game away from her. She got depressed and locked herself in her room, with only NASU. Eventually she couldn't handle it and killed herself. Her parents were horrified and decided MOTHER must have had something to do with it. And that is why Nintendo will not release MOTHER or MOTHER 3 outside of Japan.
