How do you delete the disk drive afterwards? You can delete it, but it still takes up memory and i can see it taking up memory in Cydia-> Manage-> Memory...

I have found other ways to make ipod touch a usb drive...but I think this one is the best. The one seeming glich of being stuck in usb mode(if on windows)is not hard to get around. When you want to use ipod as a drive - click usb button on springboard and reboot as a 'drive'. When you want to sync your ipod...do the same but choose 'default'(to pc)and your ipod touch will interface in sync mode again. Only takes a minute to switch to which one you want.

the other cool thing about this method is that it makes your ipod function as a true USB. you do not have to download programs to your pc to make it work(doubletwist, myphone, etc programs all are contingent on the computer you are at, having the appropriate download) . I bought a big 64 gig ipod so i could use as a USB, but at the time i did not know you could not do so! So I am happy to find this. Seems to work great. Thanks for posting this! Only practical fix I found for my needs.

@hey7328 It i had to restore by putting in dfu mode but i used a custom firmware to jailbreak it which is called whited00r which gives multitasking and folders for older devices like ipod 1g (My one)

Hey, I have a question. I have an ipod touch 4 and I partitioned 4 gb using this app, was able to transfer files fine, and still add/remove songs using media monkey (an itunes replacement). Then I decided I wanted to remove that partition. After I did this, I was no longer able to add or remove songs.

So, is there anything I can do to fix this that doesn't involve restoring my ipod to factory settings? And if not, is there any way to back up all of the data stored by my other apps?

THIS WORKS!!! i have an ipod touch 2g 32gb with ios 4! that worked for me. there is one thing that you have to remember though if you use windows.Every time you want to use your ipod as a flash drive you have to switch to drive only.a reboot will follow and its ready to use. if you want to do stuff on itunes (pass music,apps etc) you have to switch to default!! a reboot will follow as well and you're ready to use your ipod as before.
