To bad the dumbocrats and retardicans nowadays can't agree on anything. If they could get there sh-t together, maybe our country would be the best in the world again.
Thank You Ronald Reagan for supporting Sadam, selling weapons to Iran, arming the Taliban in Afghanistan and arming Osama Bin Laden's al-Qaeda, for supporting gorilla warfare against Nicaragua's democratically elected government, along with a large host of CIA actions in South America. Many of our problems considering the middle east stems from your wonderful 8 years as president.
This message rings true today. We are not better off than 4 years ago; unemployment is higher today than 4 years ago.
Just as when the American people voted the Marxist out of the White House in 1980, so must the American people vote the Marxist out of the White House in 2012.
The greatest president this country has ever seen! He didn't talk down to the people or try and confuse them with rhetoric. He was open and honest and down to earth. He was one of us. I miss him. What a great man.
Why are teabaggers so in love with Ronald Reagan? He's totally unlike them. Ronald Reagan raised taxes 11 times, gave amnesty to illegal aliens, tripled the debt, had Reaganomics & "trickle down" effect that didn't work, never worked & will never work, left office with the BIGGEST national debt & deficit in history & was involved in the Iran Conta scandal. Ronald Reagan may talk like a Republican but he governs like a Democrat. Ronald Reagan is a RINO
These words are true today but have the opposite answers. 4 years ago (2007) I had a job, 4 years ago I had a place of my own, 4 years ago I could buy anything I wanted without too much worry. Today I'm a temp who gets work every 2 months, Today I live with 2 other people who are supporting me, Today I can afford to pay the bills but I can't afford to pay for food, Help me and others like me by voting Obama out of office and tell your congressman you want them to cut taxes on all businesses.
@BondFreek Although I like the idea about cutting taxes, the problem is what to do about the deficit? After 8 long years of building this monumental debt between both administrations, the question is how does it get paid?
Everyone says we need more jobs to change this equation. We are at 8.6% (a bit fuzzy the way the number was calculated) - Let's say we knock that figure down to 4%, this still does not equate into making enough money to pay down the debt.
"We", I use that term for the Government officials that got us into this mess without having money to pay for these wars or medical entitlements, money was not budgeted for this. It's like using a charge card, charging up a storm and then say let's quite our jobs and make less money. The debt still has to be paid.
@MerlinIIIXL Think of it this way...You’re the owner of a hotel you have 100 rooms in your hotel but you are always having 8 rooms available. You must pay for the up keep of all 100 rooms. Would you not make more money if all your rooms were full all the time? And wouldn’t be cheaper for you if you were getting more money out then the expenses of the up keep of 8 empty rooms? It makes more sense to lower your prices too fill all the rooms then to spend more money on 8 empty rooms...
@BondFreek The only problem, (using the same scenario of the 100 hotel rooms,is that your wife decided to remodel the whole hotel without any money to pay for it, she added an outside bar, a new swimming pool and a roof top restaurant. Now you have to pay for it. Even if you got full price for those 8 empty hotel rooms, you will never pay off the balance and it will keep growing. You need to come up with additional ways to pay off that debt. And that is what we are facing.
It's the debt, I am all for reducing the government spending, dropping taxes, but at what cost to carry that debt. We need a real plan to pay off the debt or at least bring it under control.
The new income from the Hotel Bar and the restaurant will be great, because that is what will be used to pay for the work. We need a plan something like that.
@MerlinIIIXL What would pay for the bar and restaurant? Hummmm could it be the drinks, food and tips paid by the customers? To make a large profit, keep them open to the public not just the guests.
@MerlinIIIXL I agree we need a plan to pay off the debt not just to balance the budget. But it can be done. Replace the tax code with a flat 10% income tax with no refunds allowed. Add an additional flat sales Tax of 10% and make the percentage permanent. Next slowly remove the minimum wage law. It does not work anyway. Replace the postal managers with private postal managers. End all government bail outs for any company that is failing, except for farms (we got to eat). And so on..
@MerlinIIIXL Did the add-ons not stop? If you stop the extra spending eventually you will pay off all your bills. As for the restaurant it could pay for its self. The restaurant would pay for its self if professional chefs run it & not "your wife". You can charge admission for local people to use the Swimming pool. There are lots of government projects that could pay for themselves as long as the government stops interfering with them. It's called controlled spending. IT WORKS!
@MerlinIIIXL Our national debt is just like that hotel's expenses. You keep raising the price of admission (Taxes) and you get fewer and fewer paying customers and more money being spent on empty rooms (unemployed people). It’s simple accounting that the life time politicians never understand.
Obama might push America in the right direction - not because his policies are correct or even sensible, but because they highlight the hypocrisy of the Republicans' control since 2000. Republicans chose to forget their own message of limited government and Americans called them on it in 2006 and 2008.
The wake up call to the Republicans is just what the doctor ordered.

Reagan disgusts me. He should have been impeached for Iran-Contra and was a traitor to this country.
