people the voice that answers taylor is he mum u can clearly tell that why do u think she is not impressed cause she has heard her sing a million times
DO you guys think that Taylor Swift is the singer that you want to sing like? Singing Success please tell me how to sing like Beyonce what is she doing with her voice how does she have so much control in her high range please please tell me. by the way I own singing success but it didn't gave me the powerfull high notes that I wanted. I can't deny it helped me a lot. thank you please answer me :)
Taylor's only problem is her low notes, they go a little flat. But honestly her higher notes and "floating" (speech level) notes are really accurate. But did anyone see her at the grammies :( what the hell happened?
@usernamesareforfools yeah thats kinda crap when it happens but she should know her own voice hen she's singing anyway, like non famous folk have to do with out that kinda help so no excuses.
@Danklin24 It's Brett Manning you fool! ....what do you think this was recorded for? It's an endorsement of Singing Success, which is centered on SLS, which is Speech Level Singing as taught by World Renown vocal coach Seth Riggs!
@SinKroniz okay? Sorry i didnt know who Brett Manning was. Please don't arrest me for not knowing. Besides, i didnt even mention the guy she was sitting with. i said something about the person that said "yes Taylor" which sounded like her mother. So thanks but no thanks.
The first line, "Our song is a slamming screen door", is nasally and a bit off pitch.
But the line after that, she sings really well.
I have a lot more respect for her after seeing this. I thought she was just another one of those Disney artists who get their voices edited, etc. but she actually does have a voice. She might just be an image, and her voice might not be amazing, but she can sing.
Taylor isn't a disney artist. She's on a different record company. She's no way related to disney...besides for dating Joe Jonas in 2008 and being friends with Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus.
its not flat its just deeper in the throat. common misconception. if you measured it on a device the pitch would be somewhat constant but the decibel rating would be a bit higher. its power singing for weaker voices
lol. deeper resonance is the term your looking for, but it still doesn't apply. a deeper resonance would have just that: more resonance, resonance and pitch are not interdependent. Just as volume and pitch are not interdependent. You can singing loudly and softly and still be off pitch at both extremes. The timber and "color" of the sound would change, but pitch is pitch, resonant or not.
you can sing thickly without resonance. its just vibration in a different part of the throat. yes obviously you can sing louder and be off pitch but i say in this case that pitch is constant and but quality is altered making it seem deeper. a professional could make a normal person hear 2 different octaves with the same note just by goin from nasal to chest to head
once again. "deeper" implies a lower tone. lower implies PITCH. you can sing with as much resonance as your head cavities and chest cavity can support and still be on key. THIS however is not the case because the PITCH is noticeably lower. nasal is not a register. a non professional can sing two octaves and the pitch still changes. an A4 and A5 sound different, obviously because they are an octaves difference. i think you might be a little confused....
i dont think your comprehending what im saying. thats why i added "thicker". she tightens her throat upward but resonance doesnt follow to the point where she has a kermit the frog type quality but shes still pretty close to correct pitch. i didnt say nasal was a register. nasal is a quality. different quality same note but a normal person heres a different note. her resonance is too deep in her throat but thats country style. some opera singers do that also
your correct, except earlier you asserted that the stylistic use of the resonance was altering her pitch. the quality of the sound may change, but that shouldn't affect the pitch. im not sure who told your that "thickness" of your tone, when used properly should alter the pitch, but they are sadly mistaken.
to the people who say she was flat in that clip: i hope you realize that she was singing in tune with the guitar which was tuned half a step down. just clarifying.
that wouldn't matter. because she would be singing in tune with her guitar, therefore she wouldn't be flat if she sings IN TUNE with the guitar whether its the same key as the recorded version or not.
You really need to get over yourself. formerfollower101 just said the same exact thing except they were telling all the idiots before who said she was flat that she's not actually flat but singing in tune with her guitar. I think you should go find another hobby besides trying to prove everyone on youtube wrong.
ok, "flat" means the note that she sang is lower than the intended melody. So its a matter of pitch recognition, which has nothing to to with writing the song or being taylor swift. ANYONE who isn't tone deaf can distinguish pitch. you don't have to write the song to criticize the performer. clearly, you have no idea what your attempting to argue about...
ok, look here, "brittonvs", YOU'RE GOING AROUND POSTING COMMENTS AND YOU'RE THE ONE WHO IS ARGUEING WITH PEOPLE! LOOK AT ALL THE STUPID COMMENTS YOU'VE POSTED! YOUR NAME KEEPS POPPING UP ARGUEING WITH OTHER PEOPLE! DON'T BE STUPID AND START CRAP WITH OTHER PEOPLE! AND QUIT ACTING LIKE YOU KNOW IT ALL CUZ YOU DON'T! THINK ABOUT, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE TAYLOR AND BRETT CUZ OBVIOUSLY, YOU'V NEVER WALKED IN THEIR SHOES AND GONE THROUGH WHAT THEY HAVE!
ACTUALLY SANDI, I POSTED A COMMENT AND PEOPLE REFUTED IT. AND MUCH LIKE YOU THEY HAD NO MASTERY OF THE SUBJECT AT HAND. IM NOT SURE WALKING IN "THER SHOES" HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN RESONANCE AND PITCH. so i suggest you crack a book before publicly displaying your utter stupidity for all of youtube to see. oh and don't type in all caps its annoying as hell.
You know what, you dont have to be amazing, you just need to know how to sell what you already have...So, having 4 or more octaves in your voice doesnt mean that you will be a star:)This is not only in music industry but in almost everything we're doing in our lives. Most important is your passion, determination and PATIENCE:)
bretts amazing! doesnt he work with hayley williams from paramore?? either way he really brings out the best in these singers. ive seen taylor live twice and its amazing!!! im in complete awe and love with her voice! i want her voice! haha

don't get me wrong. Brett Manning is the best there is, but taylor swift is more of an artist or iconic image than a singer...
