  • 1:03 I love how much authority yet fatherly courtesy is in his voice.

  • HGR would have made a great Gotham City villain..yeah, see

  • Why have they only brought the movie version of this show out for, I'd love to see this cheesy superhero show on DVD I always enjoyed it!!

  • Edward G Robinson certainly knew his stuff when it came to art. If you look at the closing credits for Lust For Life he's mentioned as a technical advisor.

  • proud to be Roumanian!!

  • Edward G. Robinson was one of the legends of film noir, particularly his Fritz Lang collaborations :)

  • just a tiny cameo but awesome for so short a time

  • Somebody knows which episode is this?

  • lol, cool

  • "I think canned soup is to eat, not to frame and hang on a wall"

    Edward G. Robinson pwns hipsters.

  • @ZyxthePest

    Damn right!

  • @ZyxthePest He made his views on Andy Warhol very clear.

  • @Cool2BCeltic I'm not sure I agree with Mr. Robinson on that. To me art is everywhere. In a woman's smile or a can of tomato soup.

  • Robinson was an avid art collector, and they probably asked him to just talk about something he liked...and doesn't it show!

  • It seems hard to believe it, but...Edward G. Robinson somehow managed to encapsulate my thoughts on Andy Warhol pretty expertly in his conversation with the building climbing Dynamic Duo. And my brain hurts just thinking that.

  • now turn your head to the right, and watch the video again lol very obvious that gravity isnt quite what it seems...

  • "But you should see the great mug shots we have!"

    priceless

  • I love Edward G Robinson, thanks for this clip, had never seen it before.

For those of you not familiar with the G-Man, watch Little Ceaser and Key Largo.

  • @LivingWorstNightmare - . . .and don't forget "Double Indemnity" with Fred MacMurray.

  • @WSenator1

Sorry I forgot about that one, yes that's another good one! He had so many good movies, it's a shame the only ones I have left are his gangster movies.

  • If he'd pop outa a window at me and I was robin I'd probably fall in surprise

  • rofl

  • Edward G. Robinson...

Smooth as silk, even in campy cameos. Gotham never had it so good.

When this guy played evil, it was like broken glass down the nape of your neck.

And you never wanted it to stop.

  • The only give-away that this is fake has to do with the way the persons body is coming out the window. Its almost horizontal and not vertical, as it should should be vertical.

  • Andy Warhol got owned. Soup is for eating.

  • they filmed those scenes so cheap because all they did was flip the scenery to the side. in reality they're just walking on normal ground. edward g robinson did his part by popping out of a window in the floor. notice how in every batman where someone confronts them on the side of the building they hold the window open with one hand.

  • @BGDD27 - no joke? Telling an inside secret just ruined for me

  • love how things use to be quick and cheap but still better than new shows

  • Edward G. Robinson bought several of Frida Kahlo's paintings

  • Ahhh yes, looks kinda queer.

  • Edward G. Robinson was a class act all the way. I remember him in a Maxwell House commercial, he was really cool.

  • lol ^^ the adam west series was so silly ^^

  • Their rise to rampant culture.

  • SPANDEX!!!!!!!!

  • nyeaah see.. those homos over there are climbin all over my walls see? suicide for the both of em

  • @karutobi lol.....

  • robin and batman are both gay homos

  • In Jamaica they call them Batay Boys.

  • nice shorts robin

  • Dynamic dua, see!? You know there are other ways to get to this building, see?!

  • Corageious Cat, The Frog =E.G.R.

  • Edward G. Robinson see

  • why they cant take an elvator like everyone else?lol and why they called New York City Gotham City lol

  • Gotham City is not identical with New York, but a ficticious town from the DC universe with many similiarities to New York. But "Gotham City" is also a nickname of New York.

  • WHy the hell dont they every take the elevator.

  • Because they're 'Batman & Robin'! Sheesh!!!

  • What a fun clip! many thanks for sharing it with us! I'm glad the producers made use of the late great Eddie G's renown knowledge of art for his cameo appearance instead of taking the easy way out & have him appear as some "tough guy" gangster. What would REALLY be cool would be to see Peter Griffin of Quahog, Rhode Island pop out of a window...after all, Adam West later in his career became the mayor of the East Coast city.

  • @JubalCalif Love the swipe at Warhol!

  • adam west......the man the legend

  • Don't they get tired from just "hanging" from there? LOL

  • Myeah, see? You're gay, see? Myeah. Myeah, see?

  • @CatAtomic99 LMAO!!

  • @CatAtomic99 LMAO

  • Edward G Robinson is THE man! Is this the end of Rico??? Cheers for posting!

  • Lol it always seems like Batman and Robin are butt to nut when climbing those ropes.

  • the ambiguously gay duo!

  • lol what a great conversation to have while climbing a building - Im afraid that crime fighting allows me only the luxury of collecting criminals FTW

  • Edward G. - truly a great actor and a wonderful man. Great clip.

  • WOW! Never knew Edward G. Robinson was on this show. That was big. I don't think he could or would have played a hammy character though.

  • That was a good one.

  • win

  • Jesus, what a weird scene.

  • Awesome , thanks for posting

  • Edward G. would have made a wonderful Bat - villain.

  • lol. Yes you're right!

  • It's been said before - Batman is Pop Art. Campy as hell, but part of our culture.

I thought it funny & surreal that they could have a discussion with Edward G. Robinson about art while " climbing up a building.

  • There are no small parts == only small actors. Mr. Robinson does wonders with this famous cameo appearance opportunity.

  • What a TERRIFIC post...!!! Thanks so much and GO GO GO lumiere...!!!!

  • Wow! What a scene! The king of movie gangsters meets the dynamic duo. Great!

  • This is so cool, seeing the late great EGR on Batman..."Yea ,yea see the dynamic duo yea yea"

  • This clip is great on so many levels!!I love it!

    ..Y'aint got nuthin' on me Batman...nuthin' see..nahh

  • That scene was AMAZING! References to Andy Warhol, Edward G. Robinson, amazing.

I have just come to the conclusion based on that clip alone that that show was amazing. I want to watch it now.

  • The dynamic duo...SEE!
