Almost ironic because I would write the music to sound what I want it to sound, but if no one can recognize it, based on what music they have heard before, by someone else, could they even call it music to them? In learning about the progressive elements of writing electronic music and the advancements in technology to achieve it, I find that the accessible nature of the music usually remains tied to the hooks and style that define them for each genre. Trying to write music that goes a degree beyond what identifies the genre I have found difficult to promote. People generally have an expectation based on familiarity of what kind-of music to expect when they ask "what kind is it?" and find a term for it
