As far as I can tell, most of UK, eastern USA, and most of Ireland and Scotland and that whole area say Sow-in or Sah-vin. Most of Canada, western USA and middle USA, and the rest of Europe say Sam-hain or Sem-hyne. It's a cultural thing, I think, like pronouncing the E or the I in "either." Both ways mean the same thing.

@unrelatednews In standard Irish we say sawan. I'm an Ulster man, so samhain in ulster is sawin. What annoys me and confuses me, is that Samhain is an ancient gaelic ritual. Why don't these germans use their own druidic ritual, or at least by name? This is not an accurate gaelic samhain AT ALL. Also you don't need to be a druid to be involved in Samhain or where highly unacurate Disney depiction of a Druid costume. Oh sorry, Im not taking a dig at you haha its just aimed at the video.

@unrelatednews Samhain is composed by two words basic words: "sam" (summer) and "fuinn" (end) that originated "Samhuinn" (summer's end). But today, that name has turned into Samhain for some reason
