I completely agree with you, however it's not just gay teens that are committing suicide. There are many people around the world whether they be, LGBT or straight. While I can agree that the spike in gay suicide has spiked, you also can't forget those who aren't gay because it happens to people of all backgrounds and identities. I hope no one thinks I'm lame... I love the It Gets Better campaign because it was fast and unpolished, people came together (a lot of people that you wouldn't expect) to send this message and it's changed people's lives and brought to light organizations like The Trevor Project to people that needed to find them.

But you don't have to be an expert to be encouraging and to take time out of your life to do something positive for someone else. Every little bit helps. Suicide is not a sexually oriented mode of death. It can affect anyone, big, small, tall, short, rich, poor, smart or dumb. We never know what little bit can help or hurt.

What I think is wrong is how gay people let others in society let them affect themselves so much. You are who you are and you cannot change that. i kinda released i was gay when i was 12 (im 15 now) and i always tried not to be gay because i thought it was a bad thing, i even had suicidal thoughts, and sense i saw this video a few days ago, i released theres nothing wrong with it, and i and just the last few days, i feel a lot better, because im not constantly thinking im going to hell when i die, and i feel stupid for thinking like that now. I love the It Gets Better campaign because it was fast and unpolished, people came together (a lot of people that you wouldn't expect) to send this message and it's changed people's lives and brought to light organizations like The Trevor Project to people that needed to find them.
Lastly, you should be very proud of how many views this video has and the fact that you are able to touch and reach so many people. The internet is a powerful tool and you're using it for good. Good job!

My best friend is amazing. He's the smartest and funniest guy I know. He motivates me and we work hard to help each other all the time. He's such an important part of my life and I know I will never forget him. Right now, I don't feel like I could live without him having my back like he does. He is always there for me.

Suicide is not a sexually oriented mode of death. It can affect anyone, big, small, tall, short, rich, poor, smart or dumb. We never know what little bit can help or hurt.
