The big problem in the fights is the impact system in combat, what is very troublesome... Always what you dodge a tail whip of a wyvern for example, you have a big chance of be hit... prejudice a lot your good performance in a quest.

The most anoyning thing on plesioth in my opinion is that it has a huge range of body-slam

anyways to the vid for this i used diablo+rathalos armor and a crimson war pike its one of the harder hunts in the game with little reward u usually get crappy carvings and only 1200zeni but it is one hell of challenge all you really need is a couple frogs, sonic bombs, flash bombs, potions, hot drinks, and whetstones and the front of the body is the weak spot and the tail is also very weak everywhere else reminds me of a gravios

seriously no monster hunter will ever surpass the original for ps2 it had all the original power houses and enough simplicity to make it adaptable in a short period of time plus ITS ON THE PS2 THE GREATEST SYSTEM OF ALL TIME!!!!! and it has the monsters which are the root for the monsters today rathalos rathian monoblos diablos plesioth cephadrome+cephalos gravios khezu veloci,gen,io, prey and drome and without these the current monster hunter games would be nothing

@kingblake99 completely agreed but you forgot to mention the Monster Hunter 2 Dos(wich was also an incredible jump to Capcom...introducing new and original weapons and seasons, day and night, different sizes of monsters :)

I did the water wyvern in the desert village quest and it was super easy.I was using the frightbane and slashed his leg regularly.And if he's about to do something,i blocked immediately.

the sword is the redwing this is the second to last stage u get the rathalos firesword after u get a rathalos wing and upgrade it (rath wing is a 1 % chance so just trade it for a monoblos horn whith the elder in area seven of hills) :)

earth crystals arent hard to mine just keep going to area6 in the desert on gathering quests. i did this for a while and in the end had well over 200 iron ore 150 earth crystals 110 machalite ore 90 dragonite and some others

You can get earthies from jungle, mostly, and when you need machalites for devil slicer mine in volcano area8

Also for thunderbug juices for devil slicer trade snwy mountains veggie a dragonmoss

From Pokke farm in the planting bit. Plant lots of seeds and herbs e.c.t. and you should get one ... eventually. It takes ages and there's probably an easier way but if there is then I don't know it.

Use a frog to fish in that area. It'll take some time, but he'll come sooner or later and tug on the frog. THAT's how you get him out.

Need Xlink Kai w/ a WiFi Max. Xlink Kai you can downlaod onto your computer, WiFi Max you have to buy from Wal-Mart, Bestbuy, Maybe Gamestop for about 30$, Using this method it tricks your PSP into thinking it is within range of others with a PSP and the game. Originally you can only play with others online though AD-HOC mode, They'd have to be about 10 feet away or close or something like that. Hope this helps.

you can find frogs in the jungle map, its the area where it joins the cave, cant remember what number it is but its got them monsters in that you gotta hunt for the very first mission most of the time, you dont have to search anywhere in paticular just move around a bit every search so you get more searches :)

I just use Clust 2 with my Demonlock. It takes about 17 well-placed shots. Really, any light bowgun with clust 2 works well.

Short of that, get something with a shield until you feel more comfortable.

when i did the plesioth i used kut ku aromor and that has defence 44 i would say 70 is prety good

Ok first of all, you dont need to go online to get "all these crazy ass weapons and armor", secondly use Sonic Bombs, you needs Screamers which you can find of certain Wyvers. The only weapon that's special is the GMR Greatsword, which isnt even that great, only looks cool. All in all, you dont need online for any items/armor/weapons. It's only for advance quests you cant do in offline mode. With dragons off the damn screen and shit.

I've got your answer. Look around the edge of the lake in area 4 of the desert. And by the way cmndr2468, you'll do a lot better by using thunder. I've seen enough to know the right weapon.
