GRANDE DEFENDER!
So, do you want to compare a Defender with a Tucson. Tell me something, how confortable is a Defender in a Autobahn at 200 Km/h? Oh yeah, I forgot, a Defender would never reach that Speed, the Tucson 2.0L does, now imagine the 2.7 V6.
@SamTheSuave Spanish is the second most natively spoken language in the world, after Mandarin Chinese. But don´t worry, I can speak english, german, or french too. Spanish people love culture. Y ahora, si sabes, me contestas en español. Gilipollas.
@setecr That's native speakers. That means nothing. The real figure is total speakers worldwide, which, for English, is around 1.8bn, and Spanish is a mere 500m. English is also spoken in 52 countries worldwide, which cover 29% of the world's surface. Spanish pales in comparison, only being spoken in 21 countries worldwide, covering just 9% of the world's surface.
@SamTheSuave I follow on and off roads, and dunes, of course. Our club have a a site with photos of all trips to Africa, but youtube don´t let me add links to comments
i couldn't get the video od the rover taking out the Tucson because i run out of memory :/... but there is a picture when they were towing the Tucson with a Black Rover.
im no offroad expert but since the tucson only had traction on the right rear well, woudnt had been easier to push it isted of adding more weight? and even so, i dont know if they even turned the 4 wheel drive on
This is so childish and ridiculous way to post videos. I mean, EVERY 4x4 on earth gets stuck, land rovers as well. There is no car which doesnt get stuck. And so what ? It is part of the hobby, why would anyone drive offroad, if it would be that easy that never cant even get stuck ?!? There must be some challenge.
yo u know its alot to do with the driver... a steady slow acceleration foot would have got him out if it was 4wd but watchin this vid u couldnt rlly see rear tyres movin...seemed like a 2wd tucson...im not saying there awesome awesome but they are pretty nifty and most road tests where the tucson (4wd) was stuck in random places it got out just fine with little difficulty..maybe it was just some redneck drivin... GO LANDROVERS
Thats 2wd no 4WD on side door, I pulled out a land rover in the mud pit in Perth with my 4x4 Tucson guy was so ashamed. I'm just shocked alot of people dont carry recovery kits
1. not all 4 tires spin on a 4x4 unless you have diff locks, which you would be retarded to put on a tucson haha.
2. AWD sytems do not operate like 4x4. in 4x4 one front wheel and one back wheel will lock, on most AWD models this is not the case. I could not tell if the 2 front wheels were spinning or not but you cannot base whether or not it is AWD because the back wheels are spinning. I pulled a chev uplander AWD out the other day same situation...back wheels werent spinning.
On any kind of AWD, at least one back wheel should spin if the front slips (assuming the main axle is the front one). It hasn't a center blocking diferential, but it should have a limited slip differntial or, most probably in this case, a Haldex coupling system. I think this Tucson is 2WD.
Are you sure? In this case I think there was a mechanical problem there. I'm not saying it couldn't easily get stuck there, but it's back wheels aren't spinning an inch.
I guess I missed something. All I saw was a few stills of a couple of old Land Rovers. I don't recall seeing the Tucson getting pulled out. Was I supposed to use my imagination or something? I don't doubt the LR's ability, but I would like to see it in action.
It's rugged looking, but piss poor when it has to go off road. I have pulled up 2 H2's from mud holes with my LR Defender, then driven through the mud hole myself without any problems. They simply suck. Hummer should take a good look at the good old Scout II. Now they could go off road like the Land Rovers.
hyundai tucson it's not for off roading ........... it's for more funn for a big place but not for something!!!! i have also a hyundai tucson but i don't do off roading .... it's very funny whith him in the snow!!!!
dude, who buys hyundai for off-roading? I love my hyundai it it's great in snow and rain. But I'm no off-roader. And I love my care too much to track it through mud holes.
Only Jeeps are made for that kinda thing. and incidentally the footage doesn't actually SHOW the landrover pulling out the Tucson
Very good video montage! BUT...its a 2WD model, not a 4WD as you can clearly see! and in a same situation, a Land Rover what should do with the 2 back wheels on the air! and therefore...where is the Land Rover that pulled out the Tucson?...you provided us some pics, but not the real action! Anyway, there isnot a battle between clear 4x4 with SUVs vehicles! Except if you believe that it exists! They are cars with different roles! And dont try to compare modified 4X4 with factory's made cars!
landrovers aint the most reliable , but there getting better ,even in the darkest days the japs where trying to match them ,for instance theve started putting swivel hubs on suzuki jimneys exept you cant change them without buying a new axle! smart? dont think so, i guess they will always be in landrovers shadow, for 4x4 s anyway
Land Rover initial quality tests ran by JD are the worst, that's right, but it's a fact they are the cars everybody thinks fisrt when a car get stuck. I was in this Fair and Hyundai was selling this car as an adventurer and a car ready to go. rk, I don't know what car you have, but I'm sure you haven't drive a Land Rover in a mud hol, I'm right?
yes, is VERY embarassing for Hyundai because this is a 4x4 festival so the cars in this festival should have too much force like a Land Rover LR3 but this tucson is an error for 4x4 tracks.
car based suv aren't that bad; I have one and it can do some off roading but the driver should always take into account the low amount of suspension travel. Land rovers quality isn't any worst than that of mercedes-benz some nissans and some american cars.
