P.J. Proby on RSG! (1964)

@oldtowntonight rontenn is the self declared expert on everything about PJ Proby and he hasn't contributed anything except sarcastic comments. I guess he doesn't know any more about those phantom Proby demos than anybody else does. Proby's demos for Elvis are holding at two unless somebody discovers something new. Which could happen any day the way some of his other covers - oops demos - have turned up.

Proby said he did demos for all Elvis' movies starting with Kid Gallahad. Kid Gallahad had 6 songs, Girls! Girls! Girls! followed with 13 and It Happened at the World's Fair had 10. Web and print references only name his 2 demos from Fun in Acapulco. Hardly "all" of Elvis' movies.

Several singers were used to demo Elvis' songs including Otis Blackwell, Glen Campbell, Delaney Bramlett, Ray Peterson, Dorsey Burnette, Jimmy Breedlove, Mort Shuman. Does anyone know the other demos Proby did?

I love his beautiful accent. But I guess I'm a little prejudiced, being a fellow Texan.

He was so young and beautiful here. I would love to have seen him perform live back

then. But i would love to see him perfom anytime. And i think he is still

beautiful today .Glad that he is still with us and still performing.

No lies there sorry. I have recordings of the demos he did for Elvis and his sister dated Elvis. Please do not post remarks which are utter rubbish about the greatest singer of all time who is still going strong.

@rontenn On several web sites there is a snapshot of Elvis and John Lennon outside Elvis' Bel Air, California home in 1965. That was where the Beatles met Elvis, not at Graceland.
