Tip(s), Put everything in heavy duty ziplock bags and treat the carry bag with a silicone water proof spray -inside and out- A swiss army knife like the Champ and and a water purification system like Katadyne will go a long way too. I used to include a flouride toothpaste to treat insect bites and I also carried powdered chlorine to assist with water sanitation and cleaning. Insect netting has multiple uses too. I also included lots of high energy drink mixes and dehydrated soup packets.

I own 2 frost mora knives, the one you have and the clipper, the are both excellent! Especially for only being around $15!! I recommend these knives to everyone i talk to thats intrested in that kind of stuff.

Alot of good stuff there. I especially liked the throwing knives to make spears out of. You could use them to spear fish or animals for food and self defence if need be.

a few tips to save you a little bit of room, if your interested! instead of all those knives and the hatchet, us a Kukri style knife. around 18" with a 12" blade is good. they can cut, shop and slice just about anything, they hold an edge really well if made out of the right kind of steel, and will take up a little less space than all of those knives and the hatchet. i know space is limited an weight is always an issue when carrying a pack for days on end, every little bit helps! great video btw

Khukris are nice blades, the woodsmans pal is also a handy do all for chopping and shelter building if slightly heavy.

How does that Winchester multi-tool hold up. I had a pocket knife made by them and it was just crappy, I know the world of multi tools and pockets knives are two different worlds though. Seen them around alot lately and was thinking of giving one a shot...

its heldup really really well, i use it nearly everyday.  its a mini-multi tool, nothing is lose on it & i carry it everywhere

good luck finding 1. if you looking for a full sized multi..i'd try any gerber

well right now there everywhere(wal-mart). There part of a winchester gift set for like 15 bucks. I may pick one up, I have a orginal Leatherman and a great little Sheffield multi-tool. But hey can't have enough of em right?

I'd keep the first knife, ditch the throwing knives, keep the multitool, ditch the cheap blade, and get rid of the hatchet too. You can sharpen a stick and fire-harden the tip. And they're impractical for fishing anyway.

You can pound the back of the knife with a stone to improvise a hatchet.

Lint collected from your dryer is GREAT tinder as well.
