@speedflames5 - @wbewley22's dad was one of the two co-founders of California Coolers. Stewart & Mike made a ton of money. I wanted to invest a $10K college fund I had in 1981 and my parents said no. Mike asked my Dad to invest since he helped get them distribution with Coors Distributors, he said no. That $10K would have cashed out at $1M when BF bought them out.

in tennessee most all the coolers you buy are made with beer Its illegal for them to sell the ones made with wine except in a liquor store so most of our coolers taste like CRAP!

I think the song in this commercial is "Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow" by the Rivingtons. Another similar song called "Surfer Bird" is a derivative work based on this song. The Beach Boys also covered this song on their live 1964 LP.

I remember that one, "I really hate California,......pink tofu excuse me...." the guy goes on a rant about how stupid california is then finishes it up with having a California Cooler at the end of the comercial.

Different company, you're thinking of Bartles and Jaymes. those were good, but these were Lee Clow genius.

No. The original California Cooler ads came out in 1985. It was not Bartles and Jaymes. It was 2 Yuppie guys in a crowded bar who made fun of Califonia. (Surf's up...) Don't you remember this?
