I visited New York once. It was hot and smoggy. The pavements were overcrowded with angry people. I was warned not to travel on the subway. The streets were filthy & crammed with homeless. All the shops are very expensive and full of cheap rubbish. The restaurants are dirty & the food is tasteless. The hotdogs are disgusting & taste of vomit. My expensive hotel was infested with bedbugs. I refused to tip & was thrown out of 5 restaurants. I was mugged 3 times. I am never going back.
@MrSloika I ment manhattan it's not as exspensive as it seem we do have one of the highest minim wages to vist it might be kinda expensive because your renting everything but Iv you yacht notice most new york live on minim wage there programs like lotterys were you pay only 29 percent of your rent in those big fancy apt. Building downtown
@Ms00000000a I've lived all my life in the NYC area as well. Not expensive? I know you're not talking about Manhattan, because Manhattan is expensive and that's what most people think of when they think of NYC, they don't come here to see Astoria.
Stay near an airport- you will be spending a lot of time in Manhattan, but it's at least $150 a night to stay there. That's why there are subways. Cabs are too expensive.
Now, here's how to spend less than $35 a day in NYC:
Don't get room service. For breakfast, pick up a famous NY bagel and shmear for just around $3
Lunch is easy- a hot dog in Central Park for about $5
Dinner for around $20 if you go to Queens or the Village
As for transportation, get an all day MTA pass for $7
@arithebomb 7 days unlimited ride subway metrocard $ 24; Chinese streetfood $ 1; Staten Island Ferry for Free; Rooseveldt island cableway east 59th str (metrocard use) Manhattanbridge (subway A,C,Q); Brooklyn Brigde view elevator to 58th floor Milennium Hilton Hotel at Ground Zero; Times Square view Novotel restaurant balcony;
Flea Market Hell''s Kitchen 9 ave/36th street; Take rest in a hotel lobby.
Here are some tips to save $: Go to only the museums that have a suggested price cause then u only have to give a quarter.1 that I know that does this is the metropolitan museum of art. Also,u can go to Newark (where the NJDevils play) but don`t plan an entire day there, just go and say u were there really and it is easy to get to.Take the PATH train at the World Trade Center site. Also,Greyhound and NJ transit goes to Philly for 20 $.Greyhound takes u to the city center.3 cities in 1 trip
with the suggested price, to be exact, its basically just their opinion in other words. Really, give only 25 cents. Also, if a person in the family has a student ID,take advantage of it if you go to any other museum. Also, there is a Fairfield Inn near LGA airport. It is walking distance to the train. It might be cheaper than staying in Manhattan. get an unlimited metrocard for a week (assuming you stay that long). u can use it as many times as you want to get on and off the tain
@Truemoderate Well said. NYC is far to big to live in. You would have to have more than a million to live there. Me and my family went there and all our savings from our own town all went away even if we saved. Besides its beauty, new york is a very misery place to live.
I am more than competent in the English language but on the other hand this is how real English people speak I am from Essex England so I think you may need to review your comments before you accuse me of no being English...

thats got to be the funniest shit i ever read. Considering how much sense it makes and what you were trying to say, equals a real big laugh out loud in my books.
@platinum3005 After reading through both you and BlueLight's comments again, it hit me considering not one of them has made any sense so far, leads me to believe you are both utterly unintelligent, hence the reason you both are watching this video. They way you both speak i assume you do nothing other then pick up trash for a living.

New York is overrated and is given too much credit and hype , So many first time visitors to New York make plans to visit Times Square almost as soon as they unpack their suitcases. My question is why? So what do you get to see? Well, IMO, a lot of other tourists milling about wondering what on earth all the fuss is about! There are lots of souvenir shops where you'll pay way too much for (often cheesy) gifts. The restaurants are RIDICULOUSLY over-priced and the food is terrible!
@BlueLightSpecialLife ahah poor pathetic bum of a human being. Go haggle with the little african childern straving to death. Your a pathetic excuse for a human being . Some people can afford to travel right others cannot. Other words I can, You Cant.
@BlueLightSpecialLife sorry, but im 19 from a poor family, now i have money, and also a six pack, sorry your failure to be funny or insult me is rejected due to your pathetic pea size brain. When i see you traveling ill be sure to throw you a dollar im sure you need it.
Now you can crawl back down to your basement to play ur nerdy warcraft game, because im down with you.
bebcomunication so what!? it's not "New Yorker Accent Lesson"... He's showing the city and how to save money there... What's the deal with the accent?
@fandefaby Go to Times Square and go to where you see the Light-up Red Bleachers. Right by there is the TKTS booth where you can buy discount tickets to most (but not all) broadways. And they aren't usually very good seats.
Most taxi rides in Manhattan are less than $10. I think the statistical average is about $7-8. That means if you are in a group of 3 or 4 people, it might actually be CHEAPER for you to take a cab, rather then using subway or a bus.
It is OK to ask a cab driver in advance, how much the fare will be. The driver will be happy to give you an estimate.
how do i get us dollars im in uk

NYC is GREAT! Find out how you can find traces of a New York of the past, in the present.
On your trip to NYC check out the unrecognized landmarks that are still left while you can on
THE URBAN EYE .......seen on my Thyrdeye Channel.
Find out what real New Yorkers love about this city and view places you won’t see on any tour you can take
