I don't reeeeally like how the character model of Alan Wake looks. Ilkka Villi - who's lent his face for the main protagonist - looks really great! And I think they made a "not so good job" porting his face to the in game character. Especially without the beard Alan looks really old, and not like the one you see on the TV throughout the game.

Remedy tricked me once with Alan Wake, which was not any enjoyable to play at all. Technically good, but stupid story waters everything down. Not going to be tricked again. Remedy needs to put more effect in game storyline. Technically they can do masterpieces, but the story... oh please.

@maskattu Story and atmosphere are subjective. I think Alan Wake had some of the best writing and story not seen in some years. You think it had a bad story. It's all what an individual believes after experiencing the game for themselves.

And no, watching a walkthrough is not enough to decide whether a game is good or not. A person MUST PLAY IT. That's the entire point of a game, to experience it.

When I played Alan Wake, I was torn between two feelings: joy to see that good writing is not truly dead in the gaming world and sadness that Alan Wake would likely never see a sequel. I'm so very glad I was wrong. I don't care that this is an XBLA title. I just care to see the story and world of Alan Wake continued and expanded.

Sheesh, people have no sense of story structure anymore... Alan Wake is suppose to be an engaging story that gives enjoyable, unique, gameplay through a combat system that separates from the common shooters and uses the battle of "Dark" and "Light" into action. That's the whole purpose of Alan Wake, it's not suppose to be a "SUPER AWESOME FIRST PERSON SHOOTER WITH AWESOME EXPLOSIONS AND A DISTRUCTABLE ENVIRONMENT".

Besides, in my opinion, battlefield was stale and boring, what with the basic shooter elements and random explosions, sure it was fun, but was it good? In my opinion, no.
