  • I get a combined consumption of 51mpg from an old 1.9 tdi pd engine on my VW golf,so you should theoretically get more from a common rail 2.0 tdi.I reckon that will do mid to late 50´s.Diesel technology unfortunately will never pick up in America due to government laws and the safe guarding of the oil industry!Even though diesel is more expensive in America you would still benefit if you bought one of these,,,,,,,

  • @janisliepins Thank you for the European A3 TDI fuel economy update.

  • Thanks for the note Cube, but we have it right. I am not sure where your info is coming from. The The EPA Fuel Economy Estimates on the TDI A3 window sticker is 30 in the city and 42 on the highway.

  • 42MPG? Erm... You sure that wasn't city reading? Highway is supposed to be in the 60's.

  • @CubeLuda its 31 city 42 highway...same every where else in the world also...there aren't any cars that get that good gas milage well maybe ...but none i care to drive or buy.

  • @CubeLuda 42 mpg highway promise
