  • Well you can run what ever you want at the Brookville Demoltiiion Derby the Continentlas are hear to stay they can be run through alot of derbies my cause ran one this year just satruday so your aloud those

  • The winner's car looked so clean after the derby, makes me wonder if he hit anyone. I give it up to those of you derby drivers who hit someone hard. I'm a fan and I appreciate the hard hits. Cat and mouse I'm sure wins, but we love the hitters.

  • Personally, I would love to see Imperials and suicide door Lincolns banned from all derbies, only for the reason that there aren't many of them left. These beautiful old classics are too rare . . .

  • thats what makes seeing one at a derby that much better...i made my first imperial last 6 years which was about 8 heats and 6 features. and found it as a shell only just rusting away not to beautiful at all. i think i did that car a favor

  • no no no!! Wyoming drivers arent the best. im from utah and we have hard derbies like this too lets just say this "THE WEST IS THE BEST!" there should be a derby for Utah Wyoming Idaho and montana that would be the bomb! any one agree?

  • thats one tough big block for sure i bet it was pretty damn hot lol

  • I was told they banned Imperials (and maybe Continentals?) from derbies cos they were too strongly built and therefore had an unfair advantage. You couldn't get at the radiator or engine and they just couldn't be stopped.

So what's the deal here with this one, looks like a '59 Imperial (though it's tough to tell!)

  • yes it is a 59 imperial. Imperials are banned not banned in Montana and Wyoming, and some places in Idaho, but everywhere else, yeah they are banned. Tire shots or technical problems are just about the only way to take out an Imperial.

  • ive watched imperials get junked. most recent one was at out county fair. a crown vic did work on an imperial and a CLEAN 74 chevy wagon

  • Sucky call, but love the sportsmanship. That's why us Montana derbiers are the best.

  • What a un prepared imperial

  • Unprepared?

  • ok i will

  • JR's car is jacked up

  • to muddy cant even move up there oh and yea impalas our one of the tougher cars so most of them if u build them rite wont bend anyways...

  • the 71-71 were the strongest made put a 454 in them and they are an absolute battering ram

  • whoops i meant 72 on there

  • Pretty good video. Perhaps the videographer could look up the proper spelling for the word "sponsor"
