  • Beyond why the truck can't handle the bottles falling outa the back ...

Why is the Garbo crappin' on, on the phone?

    Mind on the job man!

  • I dont understand why they dont design the hopper sweep plate to better trace the hopper floor...what's the sense in not completely emptying the hopper and or having trash fall back down?

  • The blade does lower all the way down to the bottom of the hopper, the driver just closes the blade early in this video.

  • at the hopper floor, is much shorther hight than i have seen for some years...

  • @mikefunaro16 this truck is older than we have today.. we even got trucks running on bio-fuel.. The hopper is higher, but also little bit deeper than this truck..

  • Yer I'm suprised they don't have a spill shield on this truck, the logical thing to have attached with commercial collections.

  • They all do unless there's something really bulky they've gotta crush. He just started the sweep early to avoid spillage...

  • yeah, perhaps a spill shield would help. Just perhaps :D

  • Dunno why but this company doesn't have many RLs with the spill shield... custom fitted GARWOOd lifter, too! No this is a general waste truck!

  • He was proably talking to his employer about his paycheque on the cell phone! He probably told his employer what will happen to him if the next cheque bounces. The glass crashing to the ground was clearly used as an effect to scare his employer! It just my opinion!

  • LOLOLOL!!! He was also talking on his mobile in the first packer shot I did!

  • That packer does not come close down enough to make a clean sweep of the hopper.Or the made it not do it that way?????Mitch be carefull videoing that close those glass bootles can burst and you get a face full of glass or worst in your eye buddy.

  • It comes down the whole way... he just made it pack earlier to prevent more spillage if you think about it closely! Yer, hate to have cullet all over my face! OUCH! He actually told me to watch out for the glass!

  • Why is he emptying a glass only recycling bin into a truck with other materials in it?

  • Saves sending out a another truck to do the small amount of recycling bins serviced by the company!

  • Hmm...don't you folks do any kind of recycling? There's all kinds of material thrown into the truck - cardboard, glass, general trash. Throwing all of it into the same truck would break so many laws here that the guy had better be talking to his lawyer on his cell phone!

  • We do, just the companies that don't have many recycling services mix it all in one so another truck doesn't have to be sent over! I don't actually know of many companies down here in Sydney with a large range of services which do seperate loads... that's where the companies that specialise in recycling services come into it:

Visy/Pratt Industries and Cozens Paper Recycling are some! Though even the largest of companies are guilty of it! HAHA!

  • I personally prefer the MJE underbody lifter, but glad to see that some drivers clean up the mess. Nice one Mate!!

  • WTF !! he should have cleared the hopper first before emtying that bin full of glass ! anyway where is the rubber shield on the bin lift is it missing ? did that guy clear all that broken glass up ? for obvious reasons ...!

  • That's what I thought, but OH WELL! None of the Watts Waste trucks have the spill shield for some reason + that lifter's a GARWOOD one... custom fitted probably! Yep, he did clean it up!

  • Had to think about what was wrong for a second...no spill shield!

  • Hey Mitch,

The truck in this video looks EXACTLY like a truck out here in Canada. The truck out here in Canada is a JAEGUR PHOENIX....does the truck in your YOUTUBE video have a North American name of JAEGUR PHOENIX...it comes in 20 and 25 cubic yard models???? Can you find that out for me!

  • If you're referring to the body it doesn't have a Nth American name... all I know is that it is a Compaction Systems Pty Ltd RL... don't know anything about their trucks, not even capacities OR payloads! Do you have any pics or web links to this "JAEGUR PHOENIX"??

  • Also looks Identical to the Dennis Eagle Phoenix here in the uk as well.

  • Practically a twin! Slightly different tailgate, packer's basically the exact same...
