there is no doubt in my mind that i can make one of these. its just ridiculous that the price is 130k euros. its basically a 10k seedoo with 120k worth of a 25ft long 6" thick water pump hose with two fireman's nozzles!! the price is ridiculous and i don't need plans to make this

Fellow Canadians might be interested to know that the guy that invented this got funded by the Canadian Goverment BUT you cant buy the jetlev in Canada.............at least not yet. They are selling limited quantities in Europe and the U.S LOL

Im shocked at the price, but i dont want to wait five years till they come down. Making one myself and parts estimate is less than 4000 uk. also poss to get 70 feet high with less restricted pump and venturi. &clear hydro intake tube. MSco hold many patents, we could be waiting a long time to afford somthing most eng. deg. students can fab. Will post the How To make Vid on you tube, so the race is can sell plans to diy in the uk. Hydro-Jump anyone?

Its obviously just an engine and some pipes, and i assure you its not an engine like the one you would find in a ferrari, a gallardo or a porsche, neither is the rest of the pipes as incredible and advanced as the chassis, transmission, suspension, intirior & equipment of this cars yet it costs as much, why??? isnt it ridiculous?

i live along the waterfront of a lake, and its the perfect place for a toy like this, thats why i was interested, but its pricing borders stupidity. If you compare this thing to the Tesla roadster for example, to develop a car like the Tesla you need more $ & 100 times more research & development, your talking of completely another level of technology hardware, software & materials. To construct a vehicle like that you need much larger and complex facilities & infrastructure, yet it costs less!

ok this is the cooles thing i have seen, I am going to start business up at big lakes rent out this jet pack, way to go this should get awards for best idea of 2009 way to go . Kinda blown away the navy did not buy this up sure make one heck of way to land on beach. not to say recruting go up 100% this be navy seal coolest way of attack haaa love it.  jet over to the Pirates attacking ships and ATTACK FROM ABOVE :)

Your crazy right. This is the coolest thing. You might not be free completely but your floating in mid air like Superman. And For prolonged periods of time instead of just 30 sec with a normal Jetpack. That alone makes it Supercool.

I don't see the point either. This just seems ridiculous! For that much money why wouldn't you just buy a few helium balloons and tie them to your back. You would looks just a stupid.

Strapping yourself to a few Helium balloons means you have no control at all of where you go. You would just keep going up and up. If you're tethered for safety to the ground with a Helium balloon, you'd be stuck up in the air in the same position and can't move. The Jetlev allows you to do any kind of maneuvers you want and control where you go, how high, and how fast.

Wrong. It doesn't let you go anywhere you want, or how high, or how fast you want.

First, you can only use it over water, so thats not really anywhere you want is it? Second, it can only go 25 Mph, so thats not really as fast as you want is it? And third, it can't go as high as you want, it goes 30ft high.

Im just trying to work out if anything you said was actually correct.

You misunderstood me. I didn't say how fast and high, as in there's unlimited speed and height. I meant you can control the speed and height to the max the JetLev can provide with this current model. Also, if you want to break it down to the exact word, yes you cannot fly over land, but what I meant was you can fly anywhere over water.
