i booted 3.1 on my ipod 4th GEN, as well as 95 in safe mode. It was really laggy, and from what i saw on ram usage, 140/256mb was used.. so I suspect it was using a custom boot partition on the Memory Unit as virtual memory? (it was horribly laggy in 95, 3.1 was okey)

@zapper067 there is dos emulator on appstore (idos maybe, forgot the name), and from Cydia you can have the app changing ios to android, it has linux's kernel so it's half of it.

This is not fake. They are using a modified version of Bochs for iPhone (Called Windoze in Cydia) made to run at full screen on iPad. Anyone with Xcode and a Developer Licence could do this. In fact, I just did, and I can confirm it works.

Go into cydia on any device, go to manage and add the source cydia.xsellize.com, look for windoze. Install this, now you can run any windows os if your device has the minimum CPU speed. If you ssh to your device or you use ifile, you can put a windows image under /var/mobile/library/bochs to make it faster open os.in
