As much as a part of me wants this series to have continued, I don't think that would have worked so well. As Kreutzfeld said the Objects are tools. They provide an interesting story mechanic, but what the series really is is a story about a father who would do anything to rescue his child. If they were to make it an object hunt like Warehouse 13, they can't simply use the same motivator for Joe, and they can't justify him risking his daughter's life by getting involved to retrieve the Objects.

Don't get me wrong. The ending could have been right had it been a series where many other objects were found, discovered anbd collected. But this ending doesn't fit cuz there was too much to explain (And never explained) to fit in a mini series. It should have simply had a different ending, become a series then in a later season have the current ending. It was still too short mini series to have that ending. And it had such potential too.

cuz it was never a series it was a movie. But when a tv movie is very long they become mini series. Like Merlin and Gulliver's Travels or The 10th Kingdom. The lost room was too long a story to tell in one day. But as a mini series or long tv film it failed. The climax was sad and not well thought of. Had it a different climax it could have become a series, but only the first half was good. It was like this cool unique story that gets better and better then suddenly dives off the ugly tree. Sad.

I have only just seen this series as it was just broadcast here for the first time this last month or so.

I loved it and was so disappointed when I found that there wasn't another series being made. There are so many un-answered questions left in the series that I would love to be resolved.

as odd as this sounds I found my copy in a book store xD I'd gone to five different video stores then someone suggested I stop by this huge book store near by and oddly enough they had one copy. it was in the wrong section too but I found it with some help and suggestions from the people working there. I dunno anything about singapore (never been there), but maybe try looking where u normally wouldn't :P? or else just order it online I suppose
