  • He was up the Subie's arse in a heartbeat...thanks for playing.

For sure there is not one race track in America with curves....morons exist around the globe not just here.

The difference is fast car versus fast driver.

  • HKS laughs at ford's street legal 650hp Mustang

  • geeze.

  • This car is in a total different league to the others.

  • hmm clear lap was only 60.2 I'd say this humble evo is just a promo car atm because if HKS Get serious with it look out

  • I felt like I was playing Forza watching this. This guy has amazing skill passing cars like that on such a tight track.

  • haha that evo just destroys those mini mini vans... subie smash!

  • Another generation of subbies bite the dust!

  • that wasn't even fair lol

  • awesome grip , evo's really easy to drive hard

  • Amazing driver.

  • Notice the EVO chewing the scoobys up on the fast straights. Stick that in your boxer and smoke it. Oh yeah, if your listening Subaru, clear tails look like shit.

  • @CoolLikePenguinNuts

You got a lot of hate against STi's don't you. Comparing an HKS Evo X to privately owned GRB STi's. As much as I love the Evo X I hate it when people talk shit about STi's. Guessing you never seen fully built STi's before because if you seen the article on Speedhunters these are very subtle built Subaru's unlike the Evo X.

  • @CJAEY I have seen a fully built STI. I raced one In my Chevy II. It was putting down 539awhp. So I was told. I guess I believe him. It was pretty damn fast. The engine note had a fully built STD, it sounded awful. If you could give a car Syphilis it would sound like the Subaru Boxer engine. We ran twice once from a dig and once from a roll (50mph). I dusted him both races. That scooby was no match for a twin turbo 409 small block. You have to admit, the clear tails look crappy.

  • holy ****! Damn that guy can drive, and what a car to but him in! any doubts on the potential of the evo X have been laid to rest right here... gota be honest i dont own one, but im thinking of getting one summer 2011!

  • I thinks those tire is rubbing the fenders when turn...Tech need to ck its over before cutting those tres

  • pasic1 your onw dumb SOB HKS is one off the Top tuner Companies for all that is JDM, i personally have used plenty of their parts on my cars and friends cars. Their build quality is fantanstic. F**king stupid kid

  • @TrueTiger lol how much time to they put into R&D, they arent good as they used to be... they built there rept and now they dont give a shit look at the trubo kit for X...

Spark plugs i used on my X made constant backfire ceramic bit came off 2x! there gaps are way too big......... now have google at HKS panel filter.. and see how many people got fuked MAF sensor coz if it..

Fuking noob i bet u dont even own a X.

  • its only an exhibition race driver should give some good battle.

  • @pasic1 you probably bought cheap knock off hks lol

  • @pasic1 maybe u buy a FAKE HKS.. HKS is never been CHEAP CRAP... HKS is one the best JDM high performance parts you can buy.. remember that..

  • yeah mate, maybe my evo x is fake too.

  • @pasic1 im not saying you're evo x is fake...

  • If that was leading there would have been no race.

  • nice

  • Taniguchiis the best!

    Arai alpinestars represent.

  • took him one lap to get in front? fast car, aren't they all supposed to be tuned to the same power or w/e?

  • hrmm. i counted a clean 1:01 lap time on that last lap. very impressive. from 2:50-3:51

  • unbelievable how this sedan can take those corners with such precision :-O

  • its the evo, SUPER sedan :)

  • you got that rite!!!! lol

  • The STIs aren't slow, this Evo is that fast!

  • u idiot... horsepower aint shit if u crash it on the first bend. Japanese focus on balance.

If jap focused on horsepower like USA, they would rape the shit outa all other brands

  • You, sir, are an idiot.

  • wish i had one.

  • Ams time attack car is faster!!! Search and see

  • How sure are you? Remember that the Japanese does not care about higher horsepower. All they want is perfect balance of power, response, and weight. This car is not even gutted. The AMS car is. I still prefer Japanese tuning philosophy over American. Horsepower is not everything to them.

  • @skratchkamot yeah. cause americans whats fast straights thats why they make illegal drag race and the shitty nascar.

  • @skratchkamot damn fuckin right man...valid point...only faggots likes bigger engine and more hp but poor handling.

  • @skratchkamot yea your right i love mustang but the america tuning is disgracefull 1/4 mile is not so awesome anymore

  • @MIGHTYSAMINYOURFACE Why is the 1/4 "not so awesome anymore"? Most street racing is done in a straight line. That's the way it should stay too. The last thing we need is a bunch of dumb asses going 120mph around a blind corner.

  • @tksemipro lol hey ur the one thats tearing some ass on your street bike, but yea i like drag racing too but i think people dont understand thats not the only type of racing and it takes more skill to drive on the track bcuz drag racing is more about power.the only drag racing i like is from complete stop.the rest is just engine vs engine.

  • @tksemipro Maybe in America, street racing is done on the straightline. But what takes more skills? Street racing but only straights, or street racing up a curvy mountain road were only real men are willing to risk it all?

  • @skratchkamot Yes, that's the way it is done in America, for street racing anyway. Street racing up/down a curvy mountain is stupid and ignorant. That would be risking innocent lives for your decisions.

  • @tksemipro In Japan, they closed down a mountain road and turned it into a race track, it is called the Gunma. If you will watch the BMI Hot Version Touge Showdown vids, it is held in that track. Yeps, you need balls of steel and superb skills to run that course, and so far, only people like Tsuchiya, Taniguchi, and Orido drives there. Not only skills is needed, but a good overall well balanced high performance car would be a must.

  • @skratchkamot

All american potatoes care is straight line

  • Fully is, come on HKS ;)

  • o wow dis shit is quick

  • The speedo was not working. throughout all 3 laps it just displayed "0", lol. The revs were rising, just not the speed

  • love the evo

  • Think this EVO X can beat GTR

  • Yea it can, it has a better lap time around Tsukuba than its competitors GT-r.

  • I mean GTR35, i've seen the EVO X FQ400 vs GTR35 in drag race but still GTR win.

  • Because the GT-R has more power than the FQ-400, but this HKS car has 574 BHP, 100 more than the GT-R even , and honestly if the FQ-400 had about 50 more hp it would beat the GT-R.

  • But i do't know why Mitsubishi always build car not as faster like Porsche GT2, now Mitsubishi has been over Subaru, for suby is only good in rally, i belives that If they build more FQ400, it can be faster than GTR or NSX

  • Yeah i agree, Mitsubishi should bring back the GTO and put a 450 hp v6 TT in it to compete with the GT-R, there car line-up isn't that interesting in the sports category.

  • HKS is just the Tunner but not part of Mitsubishi, i think they care more on rally, i just watch one video EVO 5 vs Ferrari, and very dispointment for evo at the end get skoe, but at least that EVO 5 over take NSX and GTR33

  • The Evo is the flag ship of Mits, dont think they're gonna bump a legendary car like this anytime soon.

  • The clunking on shifts certainly points towards a dog gear set. Also he misses a gear early in the race and it send a thump through the whole car, a synchro box wouldn't do that, you'd hear a massive grind. Check out my vid piloting my own dog box without use of the clutch ;)

  • he was destroying them, and what a beast start!!

  • Super quick! I'm sure this car can beat the Tsukuba time attack lap record.

  • Narrr.... according to a current mag, this car recorded 58.XXsec. still a bit slower then CT230R(53.999sec)

  • this evo x done by HKS is up to standard to go neck to neck with the BNR35 GTR.thanks to all the hard work done by HKS this evo x is even better then the stock

  • awesome....

  • Excellent Driving, awesome car!

  • That driver is Nobuteru Taniguchi, a GT300 driver and a D1 driver. I'm pretty sure he knows "how to shift." He's the same guy that drove HKS' last carbon fiber Evolution....

  • DAMN QUICK EVO X

  • Like you could do any better, That guys holds the fastest lap around that track I'm sure he knows how to shift, and its a dog box btw so your eyes might have been fooled by his shifting.

  • dude this is not a dog-box because if you look carefully on a dog box if u push the gear lever up thats a downshift and if u push it back then its an upshift. But if u look carefully at how he shifts its actually a manual stick shift gearbox not a dogbox

    just to correct u

  • sorry, what you are referring to is a sequential transmission. a dogbox mission still retains a traditional h-pattern.

the transmission in this car is an "HKS Motorsport Gear 6 Speed (Prototype)"

dont know if its an actual dogmission, but most likely =).

  • thanks for correcting me man.

didnt know that dog boxes came in an H-Pattern.

    thanks=)

  • THats 100% not a dogbox!
