@soildermike The XNA development kits are for licensed developers only (you need to work for microsoft), however I have an XDK and i'm not a developer :P, bought it black-market from a guy in hungry for 1500$, their expensive, so like I said, you don't get one, stick with XNA.

Like a PC game developer will have a top of the line PC to play with, and the art guy will always have an epic Mac or insane Photoshop Computer.

Well if you do want to spend that much on a xbox 360 developer kit. You have to be part of the Xbox 360 Tools and Middleware Program and you have to submit a submission form. And if they accept you they will send you a License Agreement and you have to agree to EVERY SINGLE BIT OF IT in order for them to grant you access to ta Dev KIT.

Or buy them for $1000. People have these for sale pretty often, I have 3. Only problem you run on a private network that's online meant for developers called PNet. You cannot logon to xbox live. It's semi useless if your not a dev but they are the best for modding since you basically give yourself full access to the games source code.

Well normally you would have to consult microsoft for a Xbox 360 Dev Kit there are tons of things you have to do like you need a license to make games and you have to have a darn good game in your head that your willing to make.
