while all praise is for him only but cannot help describing the beauty of his creature the immortal Habib Wali Mohammed ! while most of what Aamir salaria has stated is true, fact is that Habib Wali Mohammed has nothing to do with the Habib family of the Habib Bank fame. He belongs to the Tabbani family and are in their own right are or atleast were one of the wealthier families of Pakistan and were engaged in the textile industry.

Habib Wali Mohd. is very good ghazal singer. He was

was very much fond of Music ( mausiqi) and he learned

too but due to involvement in business he could't

spare enough time for singing. Offcourse he was

MBA from USA. In a concert at Bombay during early

60 tees he sang very very great ghazals and songs.

I have it record. One ghazals " Mareeze mohabbat unhi

ka fasana sunata raha dum nikalte nikalte" very great sung by

him. He is my favourite.

A great ghazal by yet another great singer. Few people know that Habib Wali Mohammad is a US educated MBA degree holder. Moreover, he hails from the famous & rich 'Habib' family of the 'Land of the Pure,' owners of more famous Habib Bank and Habib Bank AG Zurich. He never charged anything for his God given singing talents. He is by far, my favorite singer since early school days in the 1970s. May God Almighty grant Habib Wali Mohammad long & prosperous life & good health. Aameen, Tsum Aameen.

Rafi ji & Habib sahib both sang Zafar's ghazal "lagta nahin hai ji mera" Both have done a great job. But personally I have always liked Habib Ji's version. While researching this ghazal I realized that this is the sams Habib wali that i used to love listenig to when i was growing up. I had to wait to see if any of his ghazals were played. But that was like many moons ago.

Plus, if I may point out, this composition is very very different from the one by Kishore, this is simply based on Jazbi's poem, not Kishore's song.

Habib Wali never learnt urdu at school but his urdu adaegi is zabardast. He is also the original singer of ''Aaj Jane Ki Zid na Karo''... that ahl there after been sung by many inclding Farida Khanam. She sang it well in classical ang...but original has its own class... Love u Habib ji

Very well said. Habib Wali sb is a pure ghazal singer with no gharana back groumd. He started singing pre 1947 and became famous for sşngşng Ghalib ki ghazal..''Ye na thi hamari kismat k visale yaar hota....'' Then Meena Kumari's father used to present songs on Radio Ceylon ...He loved the ghazal and played it so much to make it wel known all over...Habib sb is an elegant person and a good businessman...May Allah bless him...

Great singer, we were once in karachi, in SITE Area, He sang all over the night, it was so great. People were wishing and He was singing, for every one, restless and with so keen interest, that live concert was amazing and unforgottable.
