How hard would it be to convert this to another chambering? Im happy to see the M16 bolt in it as thay makes things easier, but I was wondering about barrels.

They were imported by kimber. First They came with name AR100 which I have one and after that they changed name to MAX2 and later on They came out with thumbhole stock with Name DR-200 and DR-300(7.62x39).

They are good rifle and currently used by South Korean issue rifle as name of K2.

It is one of the hard to get rifle since they discontinued the rifle long time ago.

Anyway good rifle and If you can get one... get it.

I had a chance to buy one of these rifles one time for a decent price. At the time, I didn't know as much about rifles and didn't have much interest in older or obscure rifles. Looking back on it, I wish I would have bought it...I think it was only $400 because the old guy at the counter didn't know what caliber it was...lol

Beautiful design (in a simplistic sorta way). Any after market 1913 fore end rails for this rifle w/o redneck engineering? That would make a great substitute for an AR if you could modernize it a little. Great video, thanks for sharing something "outside of the box" of 1911's and AR15's.

@ammosmith keep your daewoo ,all daewoo with genuine daewoo parts :P i prefer the stock grips/rails/& slings too, i even got a stock daewoo mil mount, but the B square mounts are good too,got a crapload of them mounts

When you turn a gas system off such as the one on this rifle does it fire more accurately since the bolt is more stable?

@pickchicken Yes. and you don't have to hunt down the brass. On full open the brass flies about 50 feet or more.

nice review of my gun :P this gun is real fun,watch out for the gas cap! and if its stamped in korean @1:40~ its rare only a few came in invertenlly,try to shoot 55 gr rounds thru it as the barrel is hard to get, don't shoot cheapo commerical ammo(wolf) either as for ammosmith i don't think he has a problem with higher grain ammo as he knows what he is doing, the korean ROK marines mostly uses the K1 carbine,but they also got K2 rifles
