The EasyCap Is not fake it's just lots of people were using that name but were selling fake things so the real sellers decided to change the name EzCap to stop them from selling fakes :)

So you have a windows 7 64-bit laptop? And all you did was buy the ezcap, Plug it in and install. Then open this proglram that you instaled from the cd? U dont need to use winzar or download more drivers or anything?

@Caathal What I just read on newegg.com, is that "Easycap" has been duplicated and faked by many people, which is why it's 6 bucks. But the real company changed the item name to "EzCap" to change from all of the fakes.

TL:DR- EzCap is the real one.

Yo, I just installed Windows 7 and can't get my easycap to work anymore.. I can't change the settings like you say in your vid and I have installed the driver... It says:

Failed to initialize the video-capture plug-in.

So it must be the driver then right? Any fix for me?

yo im having a problem. i bought the EasyCap DC60+ and I installed the ULead and drivers from the CD but when i go to capture and ive done all the settings like PAL and etc, i cannot see my ps3 image, instead its a fuzzy black screen of a tv channel! Any suggestions?

read the discription it says make sure you us ntsc even if your in the uk hope this hellps

You need splitters only if You want to split video and audio also to Your TV. You need to have some kind of cable to hook EasyCap to Your video device.

I need help please. I just bought Corel Video Studio Pro X2. Iam connecting my Ps3 to my PC by using the USB device as I had it, when I bought Unlead Studio Easycap. But I can't capture video and I can't change the audio source to USB. Iam hearing nothing. It says audio souce PCI AUDIO?. Also, when I'm trying to capture video. Make sure no other programs are open (that can capture video) + in case you didn't know, EzCaps are listed on your PC as USB **** Device (A bunch of numbers where the stars are)

when i open corel, it automatically uses my laptops webcam... and when i go to change the device there is no USB cap card or anything that is relative to the EzCap, thx man.

Sorry for the repeat post, but just make sure you run everything as administrator in Windows 7 or Windows Vista. Otherwise the application won't recognize FFDShow. Good luck :)

but i managed to get it to work with the 360 on 50hz but its in black and white :P region problem here...also something else i just thought of was in the installation of corel studio, it asked where i lived, i said UK of course, and your region coding is...ntsc or pal/secam, so i chose pal/secam, have i done that bit wrong? i just cant get this to work at all on 60hz only sound

Hmm. Just have a look on your EzCap - Does it say EzCap or does it say EasyCap? Also, If you go into the settings on your EzCap - (Using corel, go on video settings or something like that) and cycle through all of the Video formats until you see the proper image in colour.

Hi there, my brother bought one of these for his Prestario CQ60 Laptop recently, all graphics and audio drivers are up to date. I installed the 32bit drivers for Vista Ultimate as that is all he has atm currently for his PC. I tried using Ulead Studio, but all i get is sound no picture, the xbox 360 is on 60hz and this is where the problem lies. I swap shit loads of settings back and forth constantly but i give up now, im going to try this corel video package you suggested

Ermm... i don't think just because it has easy cap written on it it's fake. That's what mine has written on it and it works fine.

No honestly. If you have the DC60+ then it needs to say EzCap to be genuine. - Some of the fake ones work ok, you think, but they can break after a while. It may be absolutely fine for you. But I got the real one so I get support etc. Look on the EzCap (Forward Video) website.

Nope. MPEG is definitely better. EzCap360 (Youtube user) uploaded a zombie video using the DVD setting whereas when I used the MPEG one in the same match, the quality of mine was atleast twice as good. I'm uploading it now.
