Hey one more question, on your exhuast vid with the Mac prochamber and mac catback, how bad was the drone, or cab noise along the highway, or even crusing around town if the rpms are about 2k +. And on that vid you made with that setup, did you have any motor mods done, or just the exhuast and suspension?
Loud but not bad IMO, the prochamber is less extreme than the x pipe. If you can cruise under 2K it's pretty quiet, even with the x pipe, it gets louder over 2K though. In the prochamber video the car only had the exhaust.
Awsome, I see you on m1m alot, Ive been wanting to ask you where you got the Mac catback and what size did you get? I was gonna PM you, but couldnt find ya!
this looks like a big bundle of fun............why can't i have a track close by.oh wait i will shorty.....KY is building quite possibly the best road course track in the nation with the longest layout at right around 3.5 miles in length. Check it out it is SWEET.HEHE
I swapped for an IRS on a heads up deal. 0 cost to both of us. There's guy's out there willing to do it you just have to find them. I love the IRS and don't regret it for one minute.
It's not worth the expense In my opinion to switch over to the IRS from the Cobra, If road racing is your thing, Visit Griggs Racing Or Maximum Motor sports and convert the car to one of there three link set ups. You will run circles around any IRS car on the track. Also, do your self a favor and get some real subfram connectors on that car, Your only hurting it beating on it like that with out them.
How would you say that car feels on the track overall? I'm considering getting one and I'm a road course guy as well. Do you think swtiching to the Cobra IRS would be worth the expense?
I've never driven anything better to compare, but it feels great. I have adj. shocks, and lowered springs. The car could use subframe connectors and better sway bars, at least. There is a lot of body roll, but overall I have no complaints about the car out there. I was passing all kinds of cars all day in my run group and I'm new to road racing so I was pretty happy with the car.
Also, I think the IRS would definitely be worth it if it's available for the swap. It can be made to handle great without it but IRS is better bottom line.
I've read on forums that some guys find 03-04 Cobra owners that want to switch to solid axle for drag racing and they pretty much switch rear subframes and everything. Sounds like a fun car, my dad had a yellow 1970 mach 1 when he was my age and i'd like to find an 03-04 yellow one.
Just doesn't have the sound and feel of the vintage Mustangs!

I don't remember the name of the site I got it from, but they closed down anyways. I have the 2.5" catback.

Yeah I DD it, no commute to work, but I take it out basically every day that I'm not busy working when the weather is nice.

Mach 1's come stock from the factory with subframe connectors.

Yes, bolt on, half assed mid length connectors that do more damage than good over time. Get some MM Full Length Weld in Connectors.

I plan to eventually upgrade the entire suspension. It wont be an issue.
