Thank you for introducing me to this WONDERFUL song and recording. I knew the character instantly (yes, I'm that old!) and loved, loved, LOVED her account. Without you, I might have missed this gem. Thanks again, I owe you for this one.
Seth, you are amah-zing! And Lynne Wintersteller is incredible...why is she not a permanent fixture on Broadway?? Listening to her voice is like discovering a new song on a "Lost in Boston" album...so beautiful yet makes you wonder how you've gone so long without ever knowing it existed...
I once worked with Lynne in a law office where she was a temp and she is one of the most delightful people to work with. I even had a chance to see her in a show at the Roundabout Theater. What a great person she is!
Still got the spelling wrong... it's Lynne Wintersteller. She's my aunt. Nice comments though. It's nice to read such good comments about a family member.
Brilliant! I love this song, but you should deconstruct the amazing duet from the sam eshow "It's Never That Easy / I've Been Here Before". I'm obsessed with the duelling belt / head voice amazingness of that song!
Love your deconstructions. I learn more from them that any class I ever had lol. I"m going to show this video to my band mates. I'm always explaining to them that they can't play the same thing for every verse, you have to build. Thanks Seth. I love the modulations in this song. I love key changes. I wrote the only punk song, I know of that has a key chang in it.
