  • Baaaaaaaaaaaad Booooooooooys, Baaaaaaaaaaaad Booooooooooys!!!!

  • I was a Bulls fan during the Jordan days of the 90s, a Lakers fan when Shaq and Kobe dominated with 3 in a row, still a Lakers' fan during Phil Jackson's second tenure with the Lakers, and back to the Bulls when Derrick Rose gave new hope for the franchise... but bring me back to the late 80s, I am definitely for the BAD BOYS! Thomas-Dumars-Rodman-Mahorn-Laimbeer = 1989 CHAMPS;; Thomas-Dumars-Rodman-Edwards-Laimbeer = 1990 CHAMPS!

  • @frozenshatterbreak69 u bandwagoner lol. wow dude. much disrespect to the bulls. we hate u fans!!!

  • @frozenshatterbreak69 not much of a loyal fan

  • Ken Calvert was classic, the best! Good upload.

  • great team but bulls of micheal jordan is better.

  • Booooo daaaaa Edwards

  • Wow Dennis Rodman looks so.... normal

  • Damn he should have kept it going this was the game Mariah Carey sang America The Beautiful. When NOBODY KNEW WHO SHE WAS! AFTER THAT EVERYBODY KNEW WHO SHE WAS!

  • @LALMCGatorsfan Everybody except Nick Cannon... LOL!!

  • None of these guys would last an entire game with today's pussy ass rules...they would all foul out by the first quarter

  • Does anyone know the intro song they used b4 this 1

  • My previous comment isn't meant to take anything away from the Bulls - they were a great team in the 1990s, led by one the greatest coaches. But the reality is that they were aided by rules changes that resulted from the whining of Jordan, Phil Jackson, et al. that benefited them and punished teams like the Knicks and Pistons.

With that being said, I'm pulling for the Bulls in the East b/c I hate Miami and Boston, and Joakim Noah is one of my favorites ever since he dissed Cleveland LOL.

  • Man that is one scary starting five.

  • @jak487 agreed

  • These intros were when times were simple and the NBA was actually ENJOYABLE

  • damn this was truly a badass team

  • Chuck Daly the Don RIP, RIP to hard nosed basketball, Bad Boy Pistons 4Life

  • I'm a Bulls fan but I'll say this. Take any 13 players from 2006-present NBA and put them up against the 88-89 Pistons. Defense will always prevail

  • This is GOB's theme song from Arrested Development.

  • wow this is gay the Bulls theme destroys this.

  • did you guys notice the trainer is the 1st guy everyone high fives

  • RODMAN IS THAT NIGGA!!

  • Gotta love the Bad Boys, they knew what toughness was for real

  • Nobody believes me when I say that Rodman was normal at one time! :) Didn't know Laimbeer went to Notre Dame

  • what else can u say but they are the best ever.

  • "Like" isn't strong enough. Where's the "Love" feature?

  • Joe DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMARS!!!!!!

  • im a huge bulls fan but i missed those pistons a lot because they made the NBA very interesting, the NBA was fun.

  • I love the fact that the intro has almost 76 000 views and no dislikes :) this gave me chills .. Thumbs up for the new Pistons Kings ;) One day we will make it to the championship anyway !!!

  • ...good lord, I love this team.

  • Big Bulls fan here. I HATED those Pistons teams, but strangely I miss them too. Seriously, one of the best teams ever seen. Best defense and intimidation tactics I have ever seen. I wish these guys could play in today's game. They would show how WUSSIED up this league is. I would love to see what they would do to Kobe, LeBron, Wade, and any other wussy playing in this league.

  • @los1975 It's funny, because I feel the same way about the Chicago Bulls...I used to watch regular season Bulls games on WGN all the time just to watch Jordan, because you never knew what he was going to do. I will tell you what they could do to Kobe, Lebron, and Wade...Shut them down. That PISTONS team was full of winners and champions. If the CELTICS weren't so good, those PISTONS probably would have had 4-5 TITLES easy. I love hearing knowledgeable sports fans give credit where credit is due

  • @los197 I am a die hard Pistons fan and had the same hatred towards the Celtics,Lakers and then the Bulls. Thats the ultimate sign of respect for an opponent when that happens. I think what we miss both is watching basketball the way basketball is supposed to be played. Being a fan in the mid 80's to early 90s we got to watch the best basketball that has EVER been played and we miss that. Winning is what mattered then, now its more about looking good and what can I do to increase my legacy.

  • @dusttaker,

I am a Bulls fan but I can agree with you here because they actually played the game Basketball was fun to watch back then. My Dad would always come home and watch it with me.... Heck even the first night I came home from the Hospital he had the bulls on... But now the NBA pffftttt.... Lebron, D-Wade, Kobe who cares... Give me back MJ, Stockton, Payton, Pippen, Rodman that era.

  • @CubsFanJohn at least Shaq, Kidd, Juwan Howard are still there, dude. stop whining. And don't forget Wilt, Willis Reed, Julius Erving. And D-Wade has talent.

  • Their are some facts that need to be said. First of all the Bulls 90s into was better. Second dennis rodman looked better and was better on the bulls. Third they dont seem like badboys with this song. And lastly the pistions suck and the modern day bulls could beat them any day.

  • @CrazyCubsFan10 Pistons used to flat out OWN Jordan. Jordan never won shit untill the Pistons and Celtics got old

  • @UberKrispy No this is what happened. In Jordans first few years he had no support, kind of like Lebron James in Cleavland. When Scottie Pippen, Horace Grant, Bill Cartwright, and the other pieces came then the Bulls beat the Pistons and win tittles. Plus either they 90-93 even 94 or 95-98 Bulls could beat the 80s pistons or celtics.

  • @CrazyCubsFan10 Pippen and Horace Grant were on the Bulls in 1988 and the Pistons spanked their ass. Cartwright joined the bulls in 89 and the Pistons beat them again. Jordan could not win anything until the Detroit Pistons run was over, and the Celtics getting old.

Jordan had all the pieces that you talk about from 1987 - 1990 and still couldn't beat the Pistons.

Learn your facts and history., son.

  • @UberKrispy May I ask what happened in the 91 playoffs? Bulls sweep pistons!! What happened this year too? Derrick Rose and the Bulls killed the Pistons. Next year I expect the same since the Bulls rank 4th in power rankings in the NBA.

  • @CrazyCubsFan10 You dumbshit in 91 the Pistons team was old, broke down. Their run from of 3 straight Finals appearance was over. Then they allowed Jordan to win titles. Jordan did not win anything until the Pistons allowed it.

How many finals have the Bulls been to since Jordan retired? answer: 0 How many finals have Pistons been to since Jordan retired? answer: 2 Finals, 1 Championship in 2004, 6 straight Eastern Conference Finals while the Bulls have been a lottery team until now

  • @UberKrispy How did you do this year? Not make the payoffs is good answer.

  • @CrazyCubsFan Bulls haven't won shit since Jordan left, and the Pistons won another title.

Your only 20 years old, get off the net you stupid little wigger

  • @UberKrispy You should have a good team since you get the top 8 picks every year.

  • @UberKrispy

butthurt? IF BUT? fuck you! hahaha

    SWEEP BITCH!

  • @CrazyCubsFan10 Naaa .. I dont think so .. The Bulls needed SIX games to beat the Blazers .. the Pistons needed only FIVE and the WORM hardly played in the series ... The only thing the Bulls got going for them is that they had no awesome teams to face after the Pistons ...Bird's Celtics . Magic's Lakers .. were deep and would overmatch any Bulls team .. ANd guess what .. All 3 series the Pistons won vs the Bulls .. Scottie Pippen, Horace Grant were there

  • @CrazyCubsFan10 yeah .. wow .. Alan Parsons .. what a great great great song lol .. Dennis played much better D with the Bad Boys .. Younger faster ...ect .. But there was NO COMPETITION WITH THE BULLS in the 90s .. 80s Cs, Lakers, Pistons would have won 8 or 9 titles in the same situation ..

  • @kagiso3741 Ya but did they win that many? NO!! Lets talk about now. The Bulls are ranked 4th in Nba. Pistons ranked 20 something. Plus Bulls swept pistons in 09-10. 6 nba champs, best player ever, and looking good this year. Argument over!

  • @kagiso3741 Also I looked at the stats and rodman was not a ton better on the pistons than on the Bulls. Your just mad he was a key piece to the 2nd 3 peat.

  • Damn they've used "Final Countdown" for many years, and I still like it today!

  • this is by far the lamest and stupidest intro in all of sports

    fuck the pistons

  • Dennis Rodman ..... in his "fourth" season. Unbelievable.

  • shitty intro song

  • Was this at the palace or silverdome? I cant tell

  • @rollytrollley19 Palace

  • @rollytrollley19

    Palace

  • @rollytrollley19 Pistons moved to The Palace in the fall of '88. Sadly, I know this from memory.

  • hahah dennis rodman before he went nuts.

  • @bbri1991 yessuh

  • as a mavericks fan, this was my favorite tm growin up, i liked the pistons Celtics and mavs. Most ppl forgot about the MAVS in the 90s

  • this is cool.. but nothing beats the bulls entrance.. and im a cleveland resident.. so basically im just saying it how it is!!

  • One of the greastest teams of all time! Laimbeer rules!

  • that whole thing, no one gave me more emotion than the dickhead isiah. he's a stone cold killer. in 88-90 no man was badder. and i'm a celtic fan!

  • Bill Laimbeer = THE BEST!

    PISTONS ROCKS!

  • Why do people keep saying "now we have the flop"

Hellloooooo, Bill Laimbeer anyone? Flopping's been around forever.

  • @Paragon231 it may have been around forever but you see it more and more in todays game. I love the nba but the flopping and pussy play needs to stop

  • These were the days when men played basketball.

    Now we have the flop.

  • hmmph.. they were good nowadays until their dumbfuck trades for iverson and the lot

  • actually... the trade got the pistons ALOT of cap room... so whos the dumb fuck?

  • fuck cap room, ever since they got rid of chauncey they've been going downhill

  • It wasent abbout staying on top in the east, it was about the future. A couple of subpar seasons is better than a decade of bottom feeding. I think we all saw what happened after 1990 when teams keep all the players on board untill theyre old and grey... spent the next 10 years sucking it up.

  • So the pistons tricked you to? Chauncey Billups scores the layup on the 50th anniversary fast break. And then he gets traded for a soft, selfish, over the hill, piece of shit just to clear cap room? And your not angry... who's the dumb fuck?

  • well see when denver and detoit play in 2012

  • word up detroit... you fuck with us, the rules get changed.

  • Bill "Badass" Laimbeer. These Pistons were tough SOBS..including my boy Mark Aguirre.

  • sad to say, but I have to agree. controversial they were, but they were also some of the toughest, baddest mofos on the planet.

  • Dam the Pistons were so bad back then. The greatest defensive team ever.

  • @scatman813 so bad

  • Holy crap they still use the Final Countdown intro since the 20th century :D. Man I love that song xD. I hope Detroit keeps it a tradition ^^.

  • greatest into ever before mason there was ken kalvert

  • Kalvert was the man.....

  • Mason or Kalvert?

  • @diablo313 Ken Calvert only because the Bad Boys did repeat as champions.

  • He was good. What happened to him?

  • bill...reminds...me..of..jason...bateman....lol...

  • I've seen this intro pop up on related videos before, and this is the first time I've seen it. Not bad, but the Bulls intro from their championship runs tops this by a landslide.

  • Zeke is awsome

  • rip chuck we will miss you the badboys toughest sobs to ever lace up sneakers god i miss those days

  • RIP Chuck

  • Yep, RIP Daddy Rich. A great coach and a great man.

  • did they really use the final countdown back then too or was that just added into the video?

  • They did use it, I'm pretty sure they were the first team to use it. I saw a game on ESPN Classic last year from 1988, when they still played at the Silverdome, where they were introduced with the FInal Countdown playing.

  • The Pistons actually used it.

  • Who's this announcer? He's perfect.

  • Ken Calvert. One of Detroit's Legendary voices.

  • umm, mr. rruffin5. " However, the NBA rules are what they are today because of the way the Pistons played defense especially against Jordan. " The NBA rules suck now. `O.O

  • damm I miss that team! those were the years (89,90) that was one of the best teams ever. They used to go soooo hard no team in history is tuffer

  • i miss this team, especially laimbeer's sweet acting skills, lol

  • after the PISTONS put them in a fucking COMA for years and with the help of a BAD BOY won another three-peat.;)

  • I'm from the Chi and all I have to say is either of these teams would own the light competition of today. 89 Pistons and 91 Bulls are 2 of the best teams of all time

  • I would have to agree, even as a Pistons Fan.

  • Actually it took the Bulls years to get past the PISTONS!! They could only beat them when Detroit was way past their prime! LOL Funny comment though. Look at the history, Detroit owned the Bulls for like 6 years. You must be some young kid who doesn't know much about Basketball and is on the Bulls NUTS! I wanna be like MIKE LOL! The Pistons played gread Defense and TEAM BALL! Please keep in mind the Bulls went far in the playoffs the year after Jordan retired, So it wasn't all Jordan.

  • I agree it took years for the Bulls to get pass the Pistons, but once they did it was a done deal! You dont have to be a Bulls fan to know the TRUTH. Nor do you have to disrespect me for speaking nothing but the truth. If the truth hurts maybe it's you all on the Pistons nuts!

  • Stop hurting my feelings. I really feel bad now. I'm sorry I didn't meant to disrespect you. Oh god please forgive me...Amen.

  • Hey man I was born and raised in the D and I grew watching all this. So i am going to put it like this. Detroit was destroying the Bulls for years but the Pistons was getting older and the Bulls was getting stronger. It was like the passing of the torch. The Celtics took it from the 76ers, the Pistons took it from the Celtics, then the Bulls took it from the Pistons. However, the NBA rules are what they are today because of the way the Pistons played defense especially against Jordan. And when

  • I dont EVER wanna hear you, or any other Bulls fan bitch about the pussy rules that exist today. They exist today because Jordan was the golden child and he always cried about Detroit's tight D.

  • Yes sirrrrrrrrrrrr..... Towards the pinnacle of MJ's career you couldn't breathe on the prick with out getting a foul.

  • @Hitman27100 Jordan owned Pistons defence anytime , anywere

  • @Estonskii sure he did, why he never won shit until the 90's, and why he was crying all the damn time, and publicly said the Detroit Pistons are bad for basketball. If he owned 'em as you claim, he'd had kept his mouth shut

  • @Hitman27100

it is a year later, but very well said. GO PISTONS!!!!!

  • @Hitman27100 jealousy at its finest...hahhahhah, you suck

  • @Hitman27100 I am bulls fan, but i miss this type of basketball today

  • @Hitman27100 and that's why they swept them? Jordan hit the weights son and got stronger. Didn't cry just hit the weights. Even when the knicks were employing the same tactics he still went to work. Check it SHitman

  • @ReymundoValdez YOU need to check it numb nut. Jordan whined and cried the the bitch he was. I never saw him in the gym as you claim, I DID however see and hear him crying like a bitch on the wrong side of a pimp hand however

  • @Hitman27100 google "The breakfast club" and I'm not referring to the movie. Jordan cried, haha yea after he dusted the 'BAD BOYS" en route to the first of many championships over his illustrious career

  • @ReymundoValdez Yeah he did, and it was about time quite frankly I mean he FAILED to do so how many times before that? So, he cried about too tough of defense before, and then cried about winning 6 titles afterward so I guess Jordan did ALOT of crying. I wont take anything away from Jordan and what he accomplished, you're the one offended by the truth and that truth IS the rules were changed to the petty ass BS that exists today because of Jordan crying and whining about em. FACT

  • @Hitman27100 The rules which exist today reflect the fact that the stakeholders in the game didn't think throwing guys to the floor was "defense" so much as "thuggery" and didn't reflect well on the game of basketball, regardless of what Jordan said. I am a Bulls fan, but I'll give the Pistons credit: they played hard and found a way to win with inferior talent, for a while. Eventually the Bulls rose mentally to the challenge of the Pistons and sent them to the dustbin of NBA history.

  • @Hitman27100 This man speaks the truth. You can thank Jordan (and Stern) for the horsecrap that passes as "basketball" in the NBA today. Breathe on a "superstar" and they call a foul, and on the other hand, that "superstar" can get away with just about anything: fouls, traveling, etc. It's all in front of your eyes, and it's also in a book called "Personal Foul" by Tim Donaghy, should you be interested in learning more about how the NBA conspires to manipulate games.

  • @Hitman27100 And to answer to you again: handchecking rules were not even changed during MJ's playing career, neither was the stupid "can't stay in the 3-second lane if there are no players" rule which opens up the middle. Only thing that was added was a flagrant foul, and that didn't change the game at all. Pistons fouled the crap out of Bulls even in 1991, they were just an inferior team at that time. Knicks fouled like crazy and even altered Kenny Anderson's career with a cheap shot.

  • @75samuel75 Since 1990, the NBA has instituted a series of rules changes to increase the offensive player's flow and make physical play costly. First came increased penalties for flagrant fouls (1990) and fighting (1993), the implementation of the "five points" rule that called for automatic suspensions of players who amassed a certain number of flagrants (1993). Hand checking was eliminated in 1994. Using the forearm to defend players facing the basket went away in 1997.

  • @75samuel75 I'm pretty sure Jordan was still playing in 1990, INFACT, I'm PRETTY DAMN SURE that was just about the time he started winning rings. Learn the game then speak fool. SOURCE? wwwDOTnbaDOTcom/2009/news/features/david_aldridge/04/22/aldridgeDOTdefenses/indexDOThtml

  • @75samuel75 Um... hand checking started in 1994-1995 when mj was first retired just sayin so...

  • @kazdamanify 1992 knicks. they know about handchecking

  • @Hitman27100 Jordan forced Detroit to work harder than they had to against any other opponent, and finally sent them home without enough manliness to even shake hands and congratulate the better team. He also stood up to and conquered the Knicks, who were tougher and better defensively than the Pistons were. So that's not much of a "bitch", is it? I think Jordan's pimp slaps hurt harder with six rings on his fingers than the Pistons' did.

  • @Hitman27100 Get your facts straight, that makes NO sense. The Knicks, after Detroit, played even harder and tighter with more handchecking and continued after Jordan first retired. The new, soft, no-skills NBA only came to be because ratings were down and people could not score anymore due to the fact that players were leaving school early or from high school, and missed fundamental skills that old guys had. Rule changes had nothing to do with MJ, he scored like a madman even then.

  • Hey buddy, personally I am almost 30 and remember these years very welll. Deroit took the division over from the young Atlanta Hawks in 1987, and defeated the Bulls in 1988, 1989, AND 1990 , until Phil and MJ helped the teh Bulls finally advance in 1991. Trust me I watched all those games and it WAS ALL MJ, buddy. Bulls skated in 1994 and would have been a 6-8 seed had Michael Jordan not retired in 1995

  • im a bulls fan and i have to admit pistons were rightfully kings of the east for many years and lost to the bulls after their prime but you have to admit if the pistons in their prime would lose to the bulls in their prime, but not by too much :) Keep in my mind im a bulls and pistons fan.

  • dumars best gm until he traded billups now look at us

  • Chuck we need you back.....curry is an idiot.

  • I hated the Pistons as a Bulls fan, but man, the Final Countdown does pump you up.

  • Awesome team, back to back champs and a phantom foul call away from a 3-peat.

  • Its no Ayo Technology

  • Joe dUUUUUUUUUUmars

  • in 1987

  • this song was used by the Greek National Team when they won the European Championship

  • nothing better then the bulls intro though

  • I'm so embarrassed of how the Miami heat brings in the team. No wonder our fans suck so much.

  • Dumars best GM!

  • Rodmannn Evooolution!

  • what a fucking starting line up! takes me way back! now we have the new bad boys in full. iverson=isiah, rip=dumars, sheed=laimbeer, go stones.

  • This is quality.

  • epic!! gave me a boner just watching it

  • this is nice but i think the 2000s intros are better.

    anways

    go pistons!

  • this is the best music

  • It's "The Final Countdown" by Europe

  • I would take Bill Laimbeer's goofy white Catholic ass over Shaq any day of the week and twice on Sunday. All heart baby, all heart. These guys were jerks to people but at least they played with emotion. I recently went to an NBA game and I was so bored by the 2nd quarter and so many people were so not into the game, I just wanted to leave. Bring back the bad boys!

  • Goofy catholic ass?

  • I love Laimbeer. But Shaq??????? That's a lil harsh

  • As much as I hated the Pistons during the "Bad Boy" era, this intro takes me back to the great days of the NBA when you actually had RIVALRIES and when teams played HARD to get to and WIN the Finals

  • @briansvoice These teams REALLY used to get after it at both ends of the court. No easy baskets EVER. The NBA is way different now...Not nearly as good

  • its funny seeing Rodman with his normal hair color

  • It's not a trick, it's an ILLUSION!!

  • Mike Abdenour (the white dude) he's still with the pistons

  • GO PISTONS

  • Thank you for posting this!!!

  • Turn the lights off!

  • BAD BOYYS BAD BOYSS

  • whatcha gonna do

  • GO PISTONS

  • Back when Basketball Used to Be Basketball :(

Glory to the 80s NBA and early 90s!

  • DETROIT BAD BOYS

  • I started liking the Pistons since 88-and I am so glad to see these games on youtube since I couldn't see these games then.

  • i still remember hearing that song every time the pistons aka the bad boys got introduced. i still get choked up when i hear this because i miss seeing the bad boys play. for those of you who dont know what im talking about the bad boys are certain players on the 88 89 pistons when they won it back to back. like bill laimbeer and isiah thomas james buddah edwards and vinnie johnson and joe dumars and dennis rodman.

  • the pistons will never have another lineup like that... :(

  • Seriously, you know he was risking his ENTIRE career to score 25 points on a sprained ankle against the Lakers because he thought he was bigger than the game.

You must have mistaken him with Vince Carter or Stevie Franchise. Now that's arrogance.

  • I'm from Chicago, while I have a Jordan byass you will never again see the passion for the game Isiah and MJ, to mention a couple others from that era played with. Kevin Garnett, Allen Iverson Dirk and Chris Paul are to of the few exceptions

  • Ever seen game 6 of the 1988 finals?

  • i still remember going to the piston celebration at the palace thanks to my brother. linsay hunter and ben wallaceurasheed and chauncey billups went right passed me in the gate way and i got to shake their hands i was even in the vip lounge at the palace and all the players passed me when ben saw my fake fro i had on he gave me a high five he laughed when he saw me with the fake fro and said thanks for comin out and cheering for them its a time i will never forget

  • mhz you are so right any detroit fan gets choked up hearing that song. my brother will never forget getting to go on the basketball court and shooting in a audience participation shoot out he got to meet the players he still has the ball that the pistons all signed

  • Isiah Thomas..lol

  • no f'n lie feb 1987 silver dome my father was child hood friends with sac. kings terry tyler,we went in the locker room at the silver dome. joe, zeek, worm, spider,ad,and the now coach for the kings reggie theuis, but the intros has allways been the final count down. you know your a real detroit fan if you get choked up hearing that music, tear jerker!!
