i like the radio edit that has more instruments in it than just the bass and drum beat. I actually remember hearing this on the radio. This CD was severely underrated. I too felt this song was way ahead of its time.It could be a hit now days...

I hate that "over 40 and radio won't play you" rule. It was all about Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Madonna and Janet in '91. It's a shame Mistasken Identity wasn't a big hit as House was hot in '91 and was seen as the heir to disco, and Donna would have fit very well with these trends.

This is a great song and beautifully performed by Donna Summer,at first,when it came out back in 1991,I did not like it,then i started listening to her sultry voice and the meaning of the song and then I started to like it...Now it's one of my faves from Donna Summer !!! Love it !!!

The album 'Mistaken Identity' was in fact a surely under rated CD. The falsetto vocal progressions on this song are the reason I will also love Donna Summer. Her voice is ever strong. Check out here new disc: "Crayons", the re-mix of "I'm a Fire" is so excellent, and I also really liked "Stamp your Feet". Donna you are and always will be one of the finest singers still alive today!!
