  • Do you know what seat this was taken from?

  • The RB211 series is amazing, I really like the RB211-535C of the 757 family

  • rolls royce engines sound amazing. Just had an EarGasm!!!!

My Fav is the 757-200. not quite sure on the model

  • Zaberdast

  • Where was your destination after leaving Heathrow?

  • Wow ! Nice sound :)

  • GREAT!!!!! LOVE IT !!!

  • I love the sound.

  • Any idea about the 3rd runway @ London Heathrow ? Heard the local residents who would have been evicted, took the matter to the court & its stalled there.

  • Olympic Airlines A340 0:40!!

  • Building Terminal 5

  • If it ain't Boeing, I ain't going.

  • Great Vid Nothing Beats the 747

  • I like this video very much, but I think is too short.

  • Those RB 211's have such a distinctive whine!

  • @4crevis they actually sound a bit "oldish" when they pick up full throttle. In 16 years of R/T flights LHR-LAX I'm glad they've always brought me home safe anyway. BA is the best !!!

  • @Vanquish73 the vid was done in 2007

  • Man look at the moisture in the air condensing from the low pressure at the engine inlets, awesome!

  • what seat is this from?

  • Suck Compress Bang Blow Jet Engines

  • extremely noisy.

  • @crossbike Go on the 777-300ER

  • @MusicLover11325

you know I'm European. Therefore I go for Airbus ^^ Cheers.

  • @crossbike Doesn't really have anything relevant to what I said, just because you're nation makes airbus. What you said before, was that you think it's noisy, I said go on the 777-300ER becaues they own the GE-90 engines which will be 10X louder than this

  • @MusicLover11325

so sorry, Sir! You are right. ^^

  • @crossbike I'm European too and Airbus sucks,lousy planes.

  • @Vanquish73 Airbus... the Pilots fly the computer... the computer flys the aircraft... Frightening!

  • i fly on saturday im scared

  • Great footage, including the engines operation.

  • T5 being built and lady Penelope virgin there to

  • Where was this flight to

  • 3 stage throttle up sooooo cool :-))

  • your plane took off after the first a380 flight from Singapore

  • Richard Branson thumbed down 14 times.

  • what camera did you use?

  • Those engines sound are so beautiful...

  • The U.K. has such beautiful green fields.

  • @enigma800 To bad that they are driving cars at the wrong side , left side.

  • @enigma800 It takes a lot of paint !

Joking aside : I`ve been to a few different parts of the world, and you are correct. Our land is very green in comparison to many other places. It comes with the rain.

  • @enigma800 That might have something to do with the weather :)

  • @enigma800 thats because it rains so much!!

  • @enigma800 well we had a near drought situation in the spring they wern't to green then :/

  • @williamwilbur

@enigma800 is from California, and the amount of rain that would constitute a drought in England would be considered a disastrous flood situation in California :-)

  • I love 747's.

Takeoff is always my favorite moment of a flight.

  • @arissss1962 i used to love 747,until i tok the a380 :)

  • @lauriersroses333

Ya did.I did not yet.Best wishes!

  • @arissss1962 tkx :)

  • i love that sound

  • Most of this peice is monotonic and visual, but still beautiful, and though i like it in its entire , it is the first 10 seconds that is most pleasing to the ear, but do watch the whole 1 min 50 seconds, it is a very beautiful assault on the senses.

  • i not push my finger in engine, when rolling the maximum power . Prefer to one a young, tight, hot in pussy .hahahah!

  • amazing how america and great britan can make nice engineering the american built plane and the rolls royce rb 211 good old realiable british engines

  • GREAT!!!!

  • dfx961,he has a right to be scared.i have nearly crashed on a cta airplane from cyprus 2 turkey.the plane was in clouds, and the mountain came out of no-where.the pilot, give him some credit, actually turned 90 degrees to avoid it,and nearly hit a castle there so unless you were in my case,he has a right to be scared.and nearly all people except about 20 or maybe 40 live idiot!!

  • That's a pretty quiet take-off

  • RR RB211 <3

  • @jbcd1211 you can always tell a rolls royce rb211 and earlier trents before the 800 series trent cos they all have a buzzsaw noise to them, looking forward to seeing the trent 1000 on the 787 and the GEnX on 787 and 747-8 intercontinental

  • can somebody reassure me how safe flying is, as i hate it, im flying to salou in spain in september which i know is only 2 hours but i get really nervous and also flyin to orlando in february. please some 1 reaasure me . i love watching all these kind of videos .

  • @MrRapidScope well, statistically, flying is the safest way to travel :)

  • @MrRapidScope statistically, you going and walking out on the street is more dangerous than flying, let alone driving a car, more people die in car crashes in the U.S.A. in 6 months that have died in all the airplane accidents worldwide the last 100 yrs, only .0000004 of airplanes crash, most pilots in their careers never have to make an emergency landing, let alone a crash, let alone a crash with fatalities.for domestic flights in an industrial country the odds of dying r 1 in 8 million

  • @dfx961 yeah but its more scary to fly but convenent but when take off that brain and spine and stomach feeling oh dear

  • Nice engine noise... I <3 RB211

  • anybody know where i can get an RB211 ringtone?? :D

  • I just love those sound from the engines of 747. it make me relax more

  • This is totally super cool, I have flown many times.

There is no better excitement than watching the ground fall away like that.

(The other human things like having sex works too, but flying is really cool)

NIce vfideo, I was never able to get a great window like you did on this one.

    Dan

  • 777 dosent have winglets either

  • a340 dosent have winglets

747 does which is in the video above great vid 5 starz

  • nice 777

  • @Derpinity I've explained this before to someone else on this comments section that this is definitely not a 777. Boeing 777's only have 1 turbine engine on each wing, making it have 2 turbine engines. The 744 model which is in this video has 4 turbine engines, 2 on each wing, which is why there are 2 turbine engines on that one wing.

  • @Derpinity You shoudnt comment when you dont know enything about it..

  • @Derpinity is he referring to the united 777 at 0:13

  • @hossainiranipour no one guy said 'thats a 777 mate' replying to the title that says 'boeing 747 400 BA Speedbird 283' those guys needa learn their facts.

  • @Derpinity Did you mean the 777 @ 0:15 ??

  • gotta love the fog in the engines

  • For some reason, it sounds like a V8 @ 8.5k rpm during lift off xD

  • the steam forming in front of the propeller is mesmerizing

  • where was this flight to?

  • Who ever said that this is a tripple seven seriously needs to research the number of engines a 744 has. Either that when they built this aircraft they put both engines on one wing and forgot the other. By the way great video. Long live BA 744

  • u were in buisness class wernt u

  • Thank you Sir Frank Whittle

  • I like how Virgin Atlantic aircraft are parked in front of Terminal 5.

  • The Rolls Royce RB211 Turbofan Engine. Music to my ears. If I could have one thing to listen to for the rest of my life it would be that sound!

  • No it fucking isn't a 777 mate

  • Comment removed

  • @alx744 your an idiot dude

  • @alx744 777's only have 2 turbine engines, one on each wing. The 744 has 4 turbine engines, 2 on each wing.

  • @alx744 u knob does a 777 had 2 engins on each wing no it has 1 so fuking shut the fuck up :L

  • @alx744 I dare to kiss your feet if that's a 777.

  • @alx744 nice trollin!

  • 0:47 Airbus a380 in the backround

  • @323tiim a340?

  • @tonightwefly A340? no no, look at the big boddy, its more high than long. A380 Emirates..

  • @323tiim A380 with 1 floor? oh no.....

  • @Andrejkorn Its not a freaking A340, look at the big high body, it can impossebly be a A340!!!

  • What was the row?

  • cool sound

  • damn its so fun goin on a airplane

  • Bach could never have composed that tune!

  • are those Virgins at T5A and soon to be 5B?

  • normal pilots take off with 50% thrust and then 100%. But speed bird pilots are different. 0%>25%>50%>75%>100%.

  • @MintyMine9297 Speedbird pilots take off differently coz they're the best in the world

  • V1..... ROTATE!

i just love the rotate part; seeing the wings angle backward allowing the engines to pull the aircraft into the sky knowing the pilot is fully hands on with the aircraft at this point!

    Awesome!!

  • hey. just wondering, do you know what reg this 747 is?

  • What airport was that?

  • @Ecka0007 Heathrow Airport

  • That is probably the most EPIC sounding engine out there!

  • First class nice lucky and rich :)

  • The noise that comes in when their under a weight pressure is unmistakable. May god bless you Mr rolls and Mr Royce for starting all of this.

  • Always an amazing moment - especially when the engines throttle back.

  • We all know this engine bankrupted Rolls Royce, but what a noise!

  • @darrowby1972 maybe so but you can tell its a very smooth and quiet engine for such a big airplane.

  • amazing 747

  • What is the name of the song? ;)

  • AMAZING

  • Love the sound from 0.55 onwards...

  • yeah great sound ...

  • I love the beauty of RR turbines. =)

  • Love the engines at 0:16 seconds

  • Rolls Royce Forevaaa!

  • Don't they tell you to take of any electrical devices during takeoff?

  • Its must be like buying an Italian supercar and sending the engine back and saying.... no its ok, ours are better!

  • I wish they could make and album with this and several other jet takeoffs on it!

  • that sounds fantanstic

  • I love the sound. An enjoyable for the ears

  • me too love the sound and even better the the sensation when full throttle is appile and pins u in the seat

  • Only the British have a flair for some quite unique nicknames for different airplanes. Speedbird, now if it that doesn't say it nothing does.

  • love planes, and this plane is one of my favourites!

  • 1:26 when the pilot decreases the power i pooh myself everytime it happens when i fly especially on triple 7's

  • @thecookymonster91 it happened to me once on a 757, except it was just after liftoff. god knows why the pilot would even do that to me, but it happened. can't imagine what a birdstrike would be like after takeoff.

  • @thecookymonster91 Well they do it to adjust from takeoff thrust to climb thrust, saves fuel and helps the engines last longer.

  • Is it bad that I got a boner from that sound? :S

  • @aolambros

No, Rolls Royce Rb211's do the same thing to me!

  • @aolambros Is it bad that I want to SEE your boner that you get from that sound? Why couldnt I sit next to YOOU on a flight instead of someold fart that bathes in Dollar Tree cologne? I could help you with your boner problem;)

  • @aolambros yes i thinks thats goin a bit to far now!

  • @aolambros Nope not at all. :)

  • @aolambros NO PROBLEM THERE, MY FRIEND! I AGREE WITH YOU (NO HOMO)

  • @aolambros Hahaha, me too! But I think the GE-90B-15 gets me the most though.

  • @AV8R4HM

    You mean GE90-115B????

  • @EmadIV Haha, yes, that's exactly what I meant. I was just a little dislexic that day.

  • When I was a little kid I used to think the plane would fall out of the sky when I heard the engines slow at cruising altitude lol

  • Aidan you suck. British Airways rocks.

  • @legozombie4000 for short haul BA by long haul virgin take better care of you

  • british airways are crap! virgin atlantic all the way!!!

  • the sound like a symphony!!=)

  • I've seen a BMW commercial where the background music is composed of engine noise.. we need a commercial composed of the RB211's spool-up phase!

  • Love the beautiful sound of those RB engines! =D

  • I`m not the worlds greatest flyer, I cant get used to it. But when I see the BA colours and the Rolls Royce Aero logo on the engine carcus, I somewhat feel a lot better!

  • @darrowby1972

Funnily enough, I was thinking exactly the same yesterday. I'm not a great flyer either, but I'm always comforted when looking out of the window and seeing the little RR on the engine cowling.

  • ahhh that noise is just so sweet :D i like when ur in the air it feels like ur ears are poppin when u swallow :D

  • poetry in motion

  • awesome :)

im soooooooo scared of heights but love planes lol i just don't look down or i'll pass out :)

  • i could be at an airport ( with 747's) and stay there for a year. lol

  • listen to those beautiful RB211's

  • wow -- amazing... i love the engines on takeoff...

  • What a beautiful noise those RB211s make.

  • @N330AA Sounds like my grandma's refrigerator. Haha. I kid, I kid. ;-)

  • I could listen to that noise all day :-) ahhhh

  • @05u16hep I agree. The RR engines have a sound all their own, especially the -524's. Have been lulled to sleep many times on a 4-7 during cruise...

  • Comment removed

  • @05u16hep

    me too

  • @05u16hep really? how?? do you live by the airport??

  • @05u16hep

    amen to that!!!!

  • scheiss linksverkehr ;)

  • departed on WOBUN 2G standard departure from 27L

  • are those 757 engines?

  • @danielchivas1010 yes these are Rolls Royce RB211's that power the 757 but these are the 524's that power the 747 and 767 where as the 757 is powered by the 525 version but yes they are basicllly the same engines :)

  • 747 use RR RB211-524s and 757s use RR RB211-535s

  • Oh yes it is.

Have a look here and see how many A340;'s BA hvae got.

  • this is a 747-400, A340 500s and 600s uses RR Trent 556 Turbo fans look at the shape ot the engines

  • I wonder if Branson wants his own Terminal

By 2030 we can see plans for an 8th Terminal

  • BA283 flies to Los Angeles (LAX/KLAX)

  • where were you travelling to?
