I absolutely love this vid except I have a strong hatred for Ryan/Taylor because I'm a HUGE Ryan/Marissa fan. If this vid had Ryan/Marissa instead I would have loved it even more.

I don't know why people who are RM fans feel the need to hate Taylor. It was never a triangle. If you were a real Ryan fan, you'd know how to appreciate both because you'd care about his happiness.

It's not that I hated Taylor. I actually liked her at first in Season 3 but in Season Four she it seemed like they were trying to replace Marissa with her on the show. She was on way too much and it annoyed me. PLus being an RM fan for so long from the beginning I thought it was crap that they killed her off. Obviously, Ryan was going to move on eventually but why then and why the only other girl his age left on the show? It was unrealistic.

It's not unrealistic. Taylor was alone and so was Ryan. Should they have brought in a whole new character that nobody knows for him to be with? We already knew Taylor so it was the writer's best bet. Ryan couldn't be alone forever. And it sucks that people had no problem with Taylor but the second she gets with Ryan, she's evil. So many "RM" fans are just Marissa fans and don't care about Ryan. I was glad to see Ryan finally happy again. Marissa wouldn't want him to be sad forever.

To me it was. I will never be an RT fan. I routed for RM too long to ever accept the ending of the show. I wanted Ryan to be happy too I just think the whole thing was a mistake. As for Taylor there were other reasons besides the fact that she was with Ryan that I hated her in Season Four.

Well, I guess that's your opinion then and I'm not gonna change your mind even if I disagree. I just don't know how you can hate someone who helped Ryan be happy again and was a good friend to Summer during such a difficult period. I personally enjoyed seeing Ryan smile and laugh again with someone so unlike what he is used to.

Yep, we both have our own opinions on the matter. Season Four was just awful for me. Killing off Marissa was a huge mistake.

Funny Season 3 was awful for me with that terrible Johnny storyline, Ryan becoming a sidekick, Kirsten disappearing, and everything being all about Marissa. I loved S4 with SS as a functioning couple, Ryan as himself again and the center of the show, some more humor, Kandy no longer fighting, the return of Cohens+1 and Julie/Kaitlin dynamic. I think it's sad that people refused to look past Marissa's death and couldn't enjoy the last season which was SOOO much better than the previous one.

Season 3 wasn't very good, I'll admit. I hated Johnny and everything just pretty much sucked about it. I loved it at the beginning though. S4 SS wasn't as good as the other S3 SS though. I thought hippie Summer was just too much. Ryan wasn't himself at all. He was completely different as were basically all the characters. I did love Julie/Kaitlin though (the only good thing about S4)

How were other characters were different? Julie was still her crazy self but she was actually a good mother to Kaitlin. Sandy was once again a PD and a good husband/father. Summer changed but she was still Summer just with new interests. Seth was his same old self except now he doesn't lie to his gf (like he did in S3) and respects her. Ryan was old school Ryan for those first few episodes, all angry and destroyed. Then he was just usual sweet, caring Ryan who now smiled w/ Taylor there.

Sandy, Kirsten, Julie, and Kaitlin weren't different but Ryan, Seth, and Summer were. Ryan to me just seemed different from all the other seasons. Seth wasn't the same old usual Seth... He was alot less sarcastic and funny. Summer's new interests just annoyed me. The list could go on as to why I hated Season Four.

I hated him in S3 with all the stupid lies and I liked seeing him appreciate Summer for once. And it wasn't about what Summer was interested in, it was about her actually having a passion.And Ryan was just preppy and put in the corner in S2 & S3, he barley had any SLs outside picking up Marissa from Newport Union. In S4 he was the center again.

To me Seth completely lost his sarcasm and comedy in Season Four (but it may have started toning down in Season 3) Well like I said S3 wasn't good either but to me it was definitely alot better than S4. Seth did appreciate Summer, he lied to her because he loved her. The pot thing is a whole different story.

How can you say Seth was better to Summer in S3 than S4? He didn't just lie to her about the pot, he lied about Brown and told her he didn't love her anymore! Maybe he had good intentions but still he broke her heart. In S4 he stuck by her during Marissa's death, he did the long distance thing with her when she was at Brown, he embraced her new interests, and stuck by her when she went to GEORGE and waited to marry her! I think that is about a million times better than the constant lies in S3.

Ok this is really getting us nowhere. I just feel like so many people are like "omgz I hate S4 Taylor's a bitch Marissa was da best blah blah blah" but have no real evidence to even back it up. The My Two Dads > The Disconnect. The Summer Bummer > The Swells. And so on.

I just think it sucks that people like you missed out on a great season because you couldn't get over the Marissa thing and went into it with a bad attitude.

If I were you I'd rewatch it with an open mind but it's up to you.

Yeah, I just got the series boxset and it was like 200 bucks. The box itself is gorgeous and has all these amazing quotes and pictures but there's no new special features unfortunately. You can by just S4 for pretty cheaper than the other seasons you know,
